When Tej was the first thing Zaid spotted after clambering up the spiral staircase, he almost tried fleeing back downstairs. Unfortunately the stairs were metal and made it quite obvious that he'd come upstairs; there was no way Tej couldn't have not heard him.
It had been a while since Zaid had actually been in the same place, this close proximity, with Tej. Since the...incident at Tej's storage bungalow (Zaid refused to call it Tej's house), and then later after Selin gave him a stern talking-to about their broken non-relationship, and Zaid's role in it. Selin was a mean drunk, that was certain.
But she was right. Zaid made sure not to return to Tej's bungalow. He found another one, on the opposite side of the Warehouse, and slept and showered in there. He left it barebones, not bothering to give it any personal touches. It was a lonely and indifferent home, but at least it was no where near the warehouse, or Tej's storage space.
"Hullo." Zaid's greeting injected with polite inflection. "You alright?" He actually looked around the room itself, then motioned to the mounted wall screens. "See anything interesting?"
A wince, as soon as he asked. The flicker of Inika's happy image on the hornet-head's TV, before Zaid bashed it to pieces. Nothing could be more interesting than that, and now he was remembering it again.

Fast X was amazing. I know everyone likes to hate on the fast and furious movies, so do I, but this one redeemed the franchise from what happened in the 9th movie. Were there stupid, over dramatic, absolutely impossible things happening? Absolutely. Was it still so good and actually a fast and furious movie? Absolutely. I loved it so fucking much
