well with large format directing the subjects is quite another story again: I wonder if I truly spotted the sword in front of the face … or if the image changed when taking the shot. Taken wide open with this amazing Tele-Arton. Huge but quite lovely lens. No movements.

well, today I got a goodie from Austria: an old (un- or single ) coated Tele-Arton for my large format arsenal. Should be like 85mm for 135 film and this is perfect for portraiture. I put it in on my Sinar and had a look through it at my daughter and liked the effect a lot. In Linhof shutter T, B, 1sec - 1/200. The shutter does show the 1/400 but I have not been able to set it. I am a bit curious about the little round button (above the “50″). The  rectangular thingie enables opening of the shutter blades for ground glass focussing with a cocked shutter (only!). Shutter sounds right, except for 1 and half second. Beautiful lens (got it cheap!). I did luck out on a similar Tele-Xenar 5.5/360 though…
