As someone whose introduction to Bioware was Baldur’s Gate, I really feel what you said about Bioware games being different now. Sometimes I have to remind myself that different isn't the same as bad, and in fact can be quite good. Personally, as long as the characters and storytelling in Andromeda are good, I'm sure it'll be a worthwhile game... even if it isn't quite on the same level as "the good ol' days."
I’m still struggling with the “different isn’t the same as bad” myself. I always naturally react when the things I fell in love with in the first place change.
But I think in Andromeda’s case, the characters will be as strong as ever. As long as I can still spend 9 hours wondering around talking to people, I’ll be happy.
