"let me walk you home"
it was well past midnight, she was on the other side of town. feet kicking at the stray pebbles beneath her feet. maybe she should have been home, maybe she shouldn't be out in the middle of hawkins this late, by herself. unfortunately she couldn't sleep, not that, that was anything new.. -- being at home felt suffocating. like she would lose her mind, and go crazy at any moment.
the voice should have made her jump, caught her off guard, but she was barely there. a walking zombie. "... walk me home?" she questioned, fingers drumming against her own leg. "do we have to?" max wasn't ready to be back there, alone in a box that seemed to be closing in on her. at least out here she could breath, if only a little.
finally her eyes made their way to TJ, before she reluctantly nodded. "yeah.. home, alright."
