That is, for making me even consider getting a second set of body parts for the 955i and going for that rare and outrageous OEM „Nuclear Red“ color scheme Triumph was applying to Speed Triple models around the year 2000 models. (The small 675 Street Triple comes in „Racing Yellow“, the 1050 SE in „Tornado Red“ and the RS1200 in „Baja Matt Orange“ — so I like expressive colors on my motorcycles. But even coming from this point, the „Nuclear Red“ is somewhat - let‘s say - „special“…)
Someone from the T5Net forum was nice enough to borrow me the flyscreen (will return it!) he had somewhere around in his garage to get a „real life“ impression of this color prior to making any final decisions. The color scheme itself is close to the RAL 4010 „Telemagenta“ trademarked by the German Telekom company, but the pearl candy effect gives it a distinct, even „pinkish“ hue in sun light. (The 955i in „Ride 5“ has a bit darker and even matte shine to it…)
