Send my Muse a Kiss Symbol✚ for a kiss on a wound.
When it came to his (very few) partners, Erik had always been a hint worshipful. Perhaps it was because he didn't believe he deserved the chance to touch another person, to be held close and kissed and smiled at. Or perhaps he simply wanted to make sure the other knew how they looked in the magnetist's eyes, a spark in a world of darkness.
Charles was no different. If anything, Erik worshiped him most of all. The telepath was the brightest person Erik had ever met.
Once the scars under Oxford sweaters had been revealed, Erik couldn't help but wonder if Charles dressed so warmly at all times for the same reason he did. To hide those marks from the world, pretend that they didn't exist.
But unlike his own, Charles's were beautiful. Because they belonged to the telepath, And proved his bravery and strength.
Thin lips traced each and every one, memorising the curved and ridges that interrupted otherwise smooth, pale skin. Those same lips whispered soft words, more German than English, against the scars. Reminding Charles, over and over, that they were beautiful, that he was beautiful, and that scars meant survival, something to be proud of. Words he could not believe about himself... But that described Charles near perfectly.
