Blissful Beach
Morning of November 29, 2020. Sunday.
Dream #: 19,704-02. Reading time: 2 min 20 sec.
Before my dream develops, I become instinctually aware of wanting to go somewhere. My dream self has some waking-life recall, though only of Zsuzsanna. The location is unknown but in a region near the ocean. I consider that wherever I go, Zsuzsanna will soon join me. There is no recall of where I live or from where my dream self came.
I walk alone at nighttime. Instinctually "walking with intent" vivifies my dreaming experience. Instinctual (wavering with liminal as often is the case) awareness of both being asleep and of natural melatonin mediation (water dynamics) results in thoughts about Zsuzsanna sleeping on a pier along a riverbank. At first, I am concerned when I do not see her. However, as I walk by, I see her lying down, sleeping on the pier just beyond a cluster of cattails. I consider that she will join me on the beach in about fifteen minutes.
When I get to the area near the beach, there is the usual indoor-outdoor ambiguity, but it does not remain in this instance. Even though I feel it is after midnight, with a cool ocean breeze, there are many minimally dressed people walking around and sitting on the beach. Most are in their twenties. I have to push my way through several groups of people but without any sense of annoyance.
I find a space to sit down on the white sand in an otherwise crowded area. Off to my left is a long pier but which I ambiguously think of as also being a railroad trestle. (It only extends about a block over the ocean, so it could not be a railroad bridge regardless). I think Zsuzsanna and I will walk out to its end when she gets here. I see other people on it. I think it might be somewhat difficult to walk on at night in the dark because of the spaces between the planks. (This feature has occurred in my dreams virtually every sleep cycle for over 50 years and represents liminal navigation of dream space.)
For a short time overhead, with my vestibular cortex phase response and dream state vivification, as a result, the "something coming down" factor begins (occurring in most sleep cycles since childhood). In this instance, the phase response (with the usual timing response in my dream's timelines since childhood) compensates as at least 20 space shuttles as on "Star Trek" (the original series). The vividness and realism are otherwise fascinating. They fly around, filling much of the night sky. I notice a spaceship that resembles a Klingon warbird, but there is no wariness. I think it is all related to NASA activity.
I anticipate one of the space shuttles coming down (subliminal myoclonus anticipation). I enjoy seeing one that rapidly dives down as it splashes into the water with an intense force. To my left, a young man comments on the event. As a result, the somatosensory phase response begins.
I realize I am wearing an oversized wool winter beanie (dark cyan). I wonder what other people think as no one else has their head covered. I take off the beanie (caused by liminal awareness of the weight of my pillow on my head). I place a blanket on the sand. There is an incredible sense of physical and mental bliss, and I marvel at my experience for several minutes. I see an open area of the beach where only a couple of people walk. I consider I will meet Zsuzsanna there when she arrives.
Filming with a Television Personality
Morning of December 3, 2019. Tuesday.
Dream #: 19,342-02. Reading time: 1 min 40 sec.
My dream begins with the instinctual anticipation of wall mediation, the usual maneuvering between dream space and waking space. There is no imaginary proprioception as cognitive arousal dominates my transition in this case. I sit on a bed in an unknown location without my waking-life identity. I read details in a newspaper for two television shows. I am to participate in the filming of a new series that involves a casual conversation with a celebrity. The "gatekeeper" (personified preconscious) between dream space and waking space is an unfamiliar Australian actor.
I stand up when I see the word "EXCITE" flashing in midair (an instinctual association with cortical arousal). Even though I am in an indoor setting, the whole wall is open directly to the street, and an oncoming jeep is carrying the actor to my location. The preconscious simulacrum is a passive rendering. He sits on the bed as we talk about the conditions of his environment. "What is it like to live in such a hot, dry climate," I ask him - as if I live in a different region. He talks about himself and his status. At this point, I notice a big cardboard box near the bed (compartmentalization of the process) that contains outdoor features such as grass, rocks, and small shrubs. There is also a seemingly tame Australian possum running around in the box. This feature is meant to induce recall of my waking life, as Zsuzsanna had a pet possum while we were writing to each other, but the heat (in real life) makes cortical arousal sluggish. Instead, I ask the man if all possums are as tame as this one. He answers in the negative. He seems slightly impatient.
The processing changes back to cognitive. The simulacrum subsides for a time. I read about the actor in his fictitious television series from years previously, though the preconscious process heightens to the imaginary inference of intrusion. I read the name of the show as "Bryant's Bandits" (typical redundant dream state phonetics like "Tony Karoni" from years ago).
I instinctually try to reinduce my dream with water reinduction as virtual melatonin mediation. I teleport to a big lake. The actor is seemingly filming a new episode of "Bryant's Bandits," which is about men on a submarine with him as the captain, though they are not criminals but military. He stands atop the submarine while his men stand on the shore. The sleep-wake mediation becomes preconsciously authoritative, so I let myself wake into another hot day.
Naiad Transition in Pettibone Park
Morning of November 28, 2019. Thursday.
Dream #: 19,337-05. Reading time: 52 sec.
Pettibone Park is the model of my dream's setting. An isolated sentry house is in the area where a small stretch of land was in real life. (I used to fish in the area until moving to Australia.)
When the Naiad factor stabilizes, I am on the opposite side of the river from where the sentry house is. Three soldiers approach, informing me that the girl on my left (Millie Bobby Brown from "Stranger Things") is not supposed to be here because of being from another world. (They seem to believe it is the start of an invasion.) We are in the water up to our waists, though I am close to the riverbank. Without giving it much thought or concern, I lightly wave my right hand's fingers at them, and all three soldiers fly up into the air and are thrown a considerable distance backward. We do not see them again. We then explore the sentry house, which has features of a cockpit inside.
This outcome stems from instinctual drop anticipation, but which never initiates here. A scene with a cockpit as a small building also happened in "From the Year 7230" from July 25, 2019. Much dream content stems from the lack of discernibility of the physical body, including the imaginary presence of water and flight associations.
Charmed Angels and Fake Fire
Morning of August 20, 2019. Tuesday.
Dream #: 19,237-02. Reading time (optimized): 1 min.
I am passively at the location of the filming of a television series. It is a combination of the original "Charmed" and "Charlie's Angels." The actresses are the ones from the first "Charmed" seasons. They practice many maneuvers that they would use in case they become hostages. The scenarios are more like "Charlie's Angels" themes. There is one scene where they are all tied up and roll along the ground to unwind the rope. (It is a subliminal association with turning over in bed.) The leader of the team seems to be Alyssa Milano. The focus is on self-defense skills rather than any implication of witchcraft.
My dream vivifies to very high clarity (virtually indistinguishable from waking life) after it changes to a scene where I am sitting on a bed in an unfamiliar room, though I perceive it as where I live (though my conscious self identity is not directly present). I am on my own. I watch fire cover the top edges of books arranged vertically atop a small bookshelf on the other side of the room. It grows and spreads. I look up to see small flames falling through a hole in the ceiling.
I watch as the fire diminishes. I realize that it is only a special effect and is not real. Nothing has been burning. I am glad as I think some of the books, in the left area, included a few of my dream journals. I find the realism fascinating. Sound and heat go with the fake fire.
Loomis at Stadcor (Catwoman Boot)
Morning of August 2, 2019. Friday.
Dream #: 19,219-02. Reading time (optimized): 1 min 30 sec.
My family and I (as we appear now in real life) are living on Stadcor Street in Wavell Heights in Australia. I first step out of the car I am in from the left side as if I had been driving it (though there is no backstory). My perception heightens somewhat after I do this. Beyond the other side of the driveway is the Loomis Street house from America. It faces the right side of the Stadcor Street house. (The driveway is in the wrong location. It is on the left side of the house from the street in real life, not the right.) I have no recall that Marilyn (half-sister on my mother's side) had died. Though Zsuzsanna and I (and our children) are of recent appearance, a brief look at Marilyn and her husband in their front yard places them in the 1970s.
There is a light cover of snow on the ground in the early afternoon. Walking up the stairs of the Stadcor Street house increases my awareness and enhances my dream self's imaginary physicality (as it usually does) but does not trigger anything beyond instinctual (non-lucid) dream control yet.
I am in the lounge room for a short time before wall mediation begins. The preconscious simulacrum appears at our front door as a detective (puzzlement over being between dreaming and waking). I become aware that Zsuzsanna is Catwoman though she is not home presently. The detective comes in and asks me some questions. I cheerfully pretend not to know who Catwoman is.
In the small area between the lounge room and kitchen (left side) is one of Catwoman's boots. (I am unsure if Zsuzsanna went out as herself or as Catwoman. It may be from an extra pair.) The detective asks questions and writes in his notepad. I wonder if he will look towards the other side of the lounge room and see the evidence that Zsuzsanna is Catwoman. I wonder if my brother-in-law had said anything to him. I hope Zsuzsanna does not return while the man is still here.
I realize I am dealing with the preconscious, and my dream state awareness is viable. I go to the bedroom to indulge in lovemaking with Zsuzsanna, who is already undressed and waiting for me.
Dean's Fear
Morning of May 2, 2019. Thursday.
Dream #: 19,127-03. Reading time: 46 sec.
My imaginary dream self is meandering around in the dream state as it often does, in an unfamiliar suburb though probably La Crosse, with a vague backstory of meeting up with an unknown male who is supposed to drive me somewhere (preconscious anticipation). Details build, and Dean Winchester (the character played by Jensen Ackles on the television series "Supernatural") makes an appearance, though my dream self does not fully perceive who he is.
I tell Dean about the man I am supposed to meet. He seems cheerful at first. He is wearing a plaid shirt of mainly red and dark blue. Eventually, I see the car in which I am supposed to travel. It is facing an intersection.
Dean suddenly seems scared. He believes it is the ghost of a man who died in an accident that he caused.
He runs off down the street screaming. I remain where I am. Looking at the driver from about ten feet away, he does not seem threatening, though I am unable to identify him as he remains in shadow. (The driver's side is on the left, implying America.) I wake at around this point.
“A Touch of Dreaming”
Morning of December 9, 1972. Saturday.
My dream borrows from the last part of the "Ghost Story" television series episode "A Touch of Madness". In my dream, the ending is much longer and has different events with slightly different implications.
The two skeletons in the dirt behind the open wall are male and female, who were married, and were probably only in their late twenties when they were murdered. The character of Janet is quite different (and not as nervous and worried). The man who is in the room in the last scene seems to be a reporter.
There is an earlier scene where the wall is completely sealed. The young man and woman also appear as ghosts a few times.
Another variation from the original, is that the pointing skeletal hand is a dream the character of Janet has that reveals the location of the real skeletons behind the wall, which the reporter gets the authorities to knock down (rather than a "real" event where it points to a door hidden behind the shelving unit, which allows her to escape as the man is coming in to help her anyway).
I seem to be a part of the setting at times, but not a part of the “movie” itself. The evening before, I had watched "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer", "Touch of Madness" (”Ghost Story” episode), and the last part of "The Homecoming". (What a combination.)
