@azure-shades-of-blue here’s ur dose of our favorite rat bastard man, please enjoy
- This man has disgusting toenails, absolutely horrifying toenails. He never clips them, they’re like filthy talons. He can and will cut someone with his big toenail and they’ll probably die from an infection. Khajiit from Elsweyr all the way to Skyrim would envy the damn claws this man has not just on his feet, but on his hands too.
- He doesn’t need to sleep because of all the Canis root tea he drinks. He likes it brewed in a VERY specific way, so that it pumps unholy amounts of caffeine into his body, and helps him keep unwavered focus on projects at the same time. Probably the only person in the history of living beings that actually enjoys the foul taste of it too. His breath smells like shit as a result.
- Neloth will walk up behind you and irritatingly peek over your shoulder at whatever you’re doing, breathing all in your air, invading your personal space, and not saying a single word. Then he’ll randomly smack you in the back of the head and walk away. He likes hitting people, and he’s too old and grubby to care about respecting personal space. “This is mY tOwEr and I make the rules!!”
- Has definitely made many attempts to clone himself. Definitely for scientific reasons. Strictly scientific reasons. Absolutely no other reasons. So far he hasn’t been successful, but he’ll do it one day.
- Sometimes the Skaal children, fresh faced and on their first hunts, will gather around Tel Mithryn and stare in awe at the absolutely humongous big daddy of a mushroom that Neloth calls a tower. They chase each other in circles around the outside, and make bets on who can climb the highest on the smaller mushrooms surrounding it. Neloth finds it to be very irritating, and opens his window to shake his fist and yell at those “Malacath be damned ankle-biting cretins!” to shut up and go away. They always come back.
- He’s definitely a bit off the rocker. There’s a couple of screws knocked loose in his head from centuries of reckless experiments, and failed spells that quite literally blew up in his face. Despite this, he is no less intelligent than he was in his prime. He has solved countless puzzles and riddles that have gone millennia without having come close to being figured out, and he’s cracked ancient codes and scriptures that have never before been read in the common tongue. He isn’t a Master Telvanni Wizard for nothing after all. The man has done a lot, and contributed revolutionary data and information to historic and arcane studies.
- Despite how the centuries have weathered him into a cranky, snarky old man, he does hold a soft spot for the people he cares about, deep in his heart. Like, very deep, deep, deep in there. Deeper than Blackreach. Keep digging, you’ll get there in a few decades, maybe. Regardless, he can be, believe it or not, quite generous to people he likes. He’ll hand over old tomes and staffs that he hasn’t had a use for in ages, and dismiss it with a wave of a hand and scoff as if it doesn’t mean anything, even if it’s some ancient spell book for a forbidden spell that he definitely shouldn’t have read and translated into 36 different languages. Or a stupidly powerful staff that turns the wielder’s enemies into mushrooms. “Just take it before I beat you with it!” He cares in his own way.
