Wyvern Nest - Vesna Portrait

Here is a bit more recent portray of Vesna. The Telyav, who escaped from her clan's destruction and then found refuge at the court of the ancient Tzimisce Sonya Vasilyev, is almost 300 years old and has acquired and consolidated not only her role as court magician but also, in some way, as companion of the Voivoda.

Ed ecco un ritratto un po' più recente di Vesna. La Telyav che è sfuggita alla distruzione del proprio clan trovando rifugio alla corte dell’antica Tzimisce Sonya Vasilyev ha ormai 300 anni ed ha acquisito e consolidato nei secoli il suo ruolo non solo di maga di corte ma anche, in qualche modo, di compagna della Voivoda.

The Wyvern Nest - My temptation

Vesna, frustrated by Sonia’s attentions for prince Guriev (vampire who also is MIrcea’s older brother, the Ventrue in charge of the army that destroyed her village 300 years ago), decides to find some relief… with Astor. Astor is a young Tremere, only child survived (or so it seems) of Storm Mayer, and arrived at the palace just the night before, following his sire. Astori s unaware of what’s between the beuatiful Vesna, and the Voivod and… really doesn’t want to miss the chance to firt with his fascinating clan partner.

Vesna, frustrata per le attenzioni rivolte da Sonya al principe Guriev ( Il Vampiro è, oltre tutto, il fratello maggiore di Mircea, il Ventrue a capo dell’esercito che ha distrutto il suo villaggio trecento anni prima) decide di consolarsi… con Astor. Astor è un giovane Tremere, unica progenie sopravvissuta ( o almeno così sembra) di Storm Mayer ed è giunto a palazzo solo la notte prima sulle tracce del proprio sire. Astor ignora le dinamiche tra la bella Vesna e la Voivoda di quelle terre e… non si fa certo scappare l’opportunità di corteggiare la sua affascinante compagna di clan.

The Wyvern Nest - A little Obsession

Gli anni sono passati ed anche i decenni e i lustri. Il rapporto Sire/infante tra le due cainite a sua volta non ha potuto per tanto restare invariato nel tempo strutturandosi poco a poco in una sorta di relazione più simile all'amore vero e proprio. It's been decades, maybe centuries since their first meeting. So... the relationship ruler/subject between the two vampires don't remain unchanged in time structuring itself gradually into a sort of relationship like love and obsession.

The Wyvern Nest - Guilt Feeling

The toughness of the brave Ancillae Tremere, opposed to the anger and the frustration of the young Telyav, does not produce the effects in which they both hoped. The Tremere's mind eventually collapsed under torture, and for the Tzimisce's Domination it was just too late... the poor cainite - now reduced to like an automaton - has only been able to teach all his arts to his young wardress.  On the other hand Vesna lost the only chance to enjoy someone like her, a so absurdly kind soul, as a companion. All that is left for her is the guilt... and the promise to take care of that broken creature even after all his knowledge has no more value to her, like an amends as if not in the less than vain hope of a some kind of recovery. La tenacia della coraggiosa Ancillae Tremere, contrapposta alla rabbia ed alla frustrazione della giovane Telyav non ha prodotto proprio gli effetti sperati da nessuno dei due. Per quanto la mente del Tremere è alla fine crollata sotto le torture, grazie alla dominazione, purtroppo a quel punto tardiva, della Tzimisce... il povero cainita ha potuto -seppur ridotto ad un automa- insegnare tutte le sue arti alla sua giovane carceriera... di contro Vesna ha perso l'unica possibilità di avere un suo simile, tra l'altro dall'animo così assurdamente gentile, come compagno. Quello che resta è un profondo senso di colpa... e l'impegno di prendersi comunque cura di quella creatura spezzata anche dopo che le sue conoscenze hanno perduto ogni utilità per lei, come ammenda se non nella ormai quasi vana speranza di un qualche recupero.

The Wyvern Nest - After the Battle

And here we have Sonya and Vesna, again. Against all odds the last assault was dismissed... but both the vampires are now too exhausted to bother and disguise their feelings: Sonya can't continue to show an icy indifference to a "puppy" that has shown full reliability, Vesna can't continue fighting the affection induced by her Vinculum. Ancora Sonya e Vesna. Contro ogni pronostico anche l'ultimo assalto è stato respinto... ma entrambe le vampire sono ormai troppo esauste per preoccuparsi ancora di mascherare i propri sentimenti: Sonya per continuare a fingere la sua glaciale indifferenza a un cucciolo che ha comunque mostrato piena affidabilità, Vesna per continuare a combattere l'affetto indotto dal Vinculum.

The Wyvern Nest - Revelation

Sono passati anni ormai da che il povero Heinrich, la cui mente ha finito per collassare durante le torture, è stato condizionato per essere trasformato in un docile mentore consenziente per la piccola orfana Telyav. Per tutto questo tempo il tremere è sembrato ne più ne meno che una sorta di automa ormai incapace di emozioni e ragionamenti indipendenti eppure... proprio quando la sua frustratissima allieva decide di porre fine a quell'esistenza miserabile divenuta ormai inutile anche ai fini educativi... è proprio l'accettazione ineluttabile di tale fine, che rende palese il cainita in qualche modo sia ancora in grado di domare la propria bestia, a sconvolgere la Telyav che, da quel momento farà carte false per rendere meno orribile quel che resta della sua esistenza. It's been years since our poor Heinrich, whose mind has come to collapse during the torture, has been conditioned to be turned into an obedient mentor for the little orphan Telyav. All this time the Tremere appeared nothing more nor less than an automaton incapable to feel emotions and an independent thought but... Just when his very frustrated student decides to put an end to his miserable existence because he become useless even for educational purposes... It is the inevitable acceptance of this end, to reveal the vampire is still able to control his inner beast. The Telyav is very upset about it and, from that moment, will make everything she can to make less horrible what remains of his existence.
