To clarify for those uninformed, been talking about how the one thing I don't like about Scarabia's designs (despite personally finding them comfortable) is that they are not sun protective and if the sun in the Scarabian dorm is anything like the actual desert sun these poor students would be getting sun poisoning from the level of sunburn they are getting, especially having to march out to a dried oasis and back...

so I did some reading and tried to do an interp where nothing in the Scarabia design changed majorly, but it is more protective against the sun.

I kind of want to do my own "take" of Scarabia designs from the bottom up based on Jafar and the Sultan's outfits in Aladdin originally and the different outfits in the Aladdin movies but I worry that might be overkill

Made a full reference for one of the protagonists of Dragonvoice, an original fantasy story I’ve been developing.

I haven’t worked with greens in a while so this was refreshing to color!

I've been listening to retry now and I wanted to make a whole big animated thing of him swapping between different outfits and stuff, but I don't have the energy for it this took me all day lol. I'll be doing another one cause I took another screenshot I want to redo as Kalim, maybe a third. or fourth... but yeah! Go give the song a listen!

The blot and the water, if you stir up the flow of the water, you can't see it. It dilutes just enough for it to be clear. But when the water is still...

The true intentions arise to the surface.

All Qasr Jamil desires is Kalim's happiness and to be by his side, he will do anything to ensure his position in Kalim's life-- Whether it be splitting parts of his blot all throughout the Scarabia dorm, thinning himself in the short term to be able to be available no matter where he is... though eventually that just isn't enough for him, and he begins to allow his blot to be absorbed by Kalim, attempting to leach into his magic staff and even under his skin.

Sahir Kalim reminds him that what he is doing is self destructive, that if he doesn't absorb enough magic then there's a chance Kalim would just burn off his blot and kill him, but Qasr says he can handle it just fine.

When Jamil was first able to connect to him, he ended up changing his appearance, as it was clear Kalim was apprehensive of him in their former dorm clothes.

Kalim noticed that he started having water stress dreams not long after his disagreement with Jamil. At first, he dreams of Qasr Sultanate Academy... but that faded pretty quickly thankfully... However he has been having a lot of dreams about the oasis, about the desert being flooded, but it's honestly rather pretty.

The only problem is something keep bubbling up in his chest, its thick and makes it hard to breathe. It feels like something keeps wrapping around his neck and hands, he's been feeling more and more tired, and it's been hard to eat Jamil's food... but he doesn't know how to tell him. Would it make him mad if he started learning to make his own?
