Even without basic human needs, Shade found uses for money in this world. The problem was, he had little of it, as he did not possess a job. He found that none were fitting his stature, and why should a god lower himself to doing mundane human tasks?
Until he found a career that placed him in a position of power, he was stuck doing errands and bounties. This time, he was asked to find a missing person. As far as Shade could tell, the missing was not of political importance, it was just that there were concerns that violence and anarchy were afoot.
The first place to look was where the missing person was last seen; in this case, the Cotes Ward. On the outer edges of the city were bars and clubs of all sorts, not-so-distant from the wind-carried cherry blossoms. The place Shade sought had its own stage. Apparently, his quarry had attended a small concert with a friend, and had told that friend she was going for a drink before disappearing for good.
Shade’s other problem--besides being jobless and broke--was that he could not find said bar/theater. He did, however, see a familiar face. Wasn’t that... wasn’t that the fellow god he’d met a week ago? Maybe Ichimokuren possessed knowledge of the incident. Some gods, like Fexreus and Aeternias of his world, had traces of omnipotence. It was time to see just how almighty his peer was compared to them, and compared to himself.
