It's Mario Day (MAR10), so I'm going to do some Zeldaposting instead.
While Link's iconic Master Sword was introduced in A Link to the Past, the US box art had a different sword design. (This design was also used in some published works to represent the Tempered Sword upgrade to the Master Sword.) A physical prop of this design appeared in two commercials as well.
Nintendo would continue to use this design for box logos for future games, even after the Master Sword's design settled into its winged M hilt design.
This has always been one of my favorite sword designs and when I found a 3D Model of it, I got it printed.
Unfortunately the model had meshing errors that caused the pommel cap to not be printed, but I fixed this with a dollhouse whiskey glass. I also simulated the leather on the grip with some thin graphics tape.
My spouse gave it a fantastic paint job for me, and I now have a tangible memento of one of my favorite swords.
My biblically accurate Fi in all of her stages. No shading or lighting effects aside from Fi's first form and no proper flames or glorias because my hand says no to that. Close ups with Sword references under the cut! (And here are some of Ghirahim's stages)
Legend’s new weapon, the Tempered Flail!!!
Sorry for not getting this done sooner!! These last few swords/designs are gonna be harder than i originally expected!
@majorproblems77 only Sky, Hyrule and Wild left!
