     The passenger car rocks as he slumps back into it, laughterlifting his voice. It was a close call – walkers gathered at the base of theferris wheel, making a mess out of his better vantage point idea.

     It didn’t work so well when he couldn’t get his ass backdown after he’d gotten up. Had she not been there, he’d have gone through hissix shots, alerted a dozen more of the dead and been worse off than he was tostart with. Despite the urgency that had just passed, Rick catches himselfrelax, his smile easy around her.

     It always is.

     Everything’s easier.

     The gratitude goes without saying. But, he doesn’t rush toclimb back down now that she’s up there with him.

    slender  hands  rummage  through  rusted  shelves,  lively  cerulean  hues  searching  for  anything  that  remains  edible.  stomach  aches  with  hunger,  days  on  road  were  weighing  heavy  upon  her.  exhaustion  plagues  her,  constant  need  to  stay  on  the  move  from  fear  of  both  dead  and  those  left  alive.  the  sound  of  front  door  of  gas  station  catches  her  attention,  fingers  instantly  reaching  for  hilt  of  her  knife.  figure  takes  to  duck,  knowing  it’ll  be  easier  to  sneak  past  than  try  to  take  on  foe  head  on.  attempts   to  make  silent  footsteps  as  she  moves  through  rows,  hoping  to  not  draw  attention  to  herself.
