BRAN HAD NEVER had to play the part of the big brother, not really. there had always been robb or jon to fill that role, both for him and for rickon. but now they were gone, jon on the wall and robb off fighting a war, and bran was left in that position. and so when rickon climbs into his bed complaining of nightmares, bran is not entirely sure what to do. he does what he remembers robb and jon doing to him and gently wraps his arms around his little brother, but he is not sure what to say, what words to use to comfort him. so he just sits there in silence, his head resting on top of his brothers and his arms hugging tightly around his shoulders.
