Temple cat! Met this little one in Japan and had to wait for it to let us through.

So I went to this shrine and there were the oldest and wisest of sages there.

look i KNOW it’s dumb and self indulgent but hear me out

a stray cat wandering onto the temple grounds and just. bothering rai. and he picks it up and holds it at arms length and scowls like ‘what??’ and everyone is like rAI BE NICE

and rai just doesn’t care about it at first. but it keeps turning up wherever he is and hanging out with him whether he likes it or not. and you know how it goes - he grouches and pretends to be annoyed, but not even a couple of weeks later, it sleeps on his bed and sits on his lap when he’s working on scrolls or whatever, and he tells it everything and... ya. that’s it that’s the post
