#Dance in 5th century sculpture of Pawaya, near Gwalior and from film Amrapali? #dancecostume #sculpture
A bit of observational drawing today - this teak temple dancer is my mum's, and it came from when her grandparents lived in Burma (so it's 1930s, I believe). I love her, she's so beautiful. She got lost for a long while but Mum found her when she was moving out and now she's in pride of place in my mum's living room. I offer you this drawing both filtered and unfiltered, because I can't for the life of me get a decently lit picture.
