About Book Recs (Weigh in!)
The reason I recommend junior books so much is I work in a library. I spot a lot of great books, often by the covers, but I only have the time to glance through the kid books to see if they're decent quality.
I've been hesitant to recommend adult books because I can't guarantee it's worth the read, and the whole point of a recommendation is you're personally giving it a thumbs up. I just don't have the time to check them out and read them.
But would you like me to post about them anyways? I've found quite a few about women warriors, women in war, women in exploration, and biographies (such as The Far Traveler: Voyages of a Viking Woman by Nancy Marie Brown). If you want them, I'll share, just so long as you know I haven't read them myself.
Also, if you have books or authors you want others to know about, tell me so I can share!
