We’ve gotta be getting closer and closer to the next trailer for The Indigo Disk (this week? Please?) and the only Pokémon I can see them announcing in that trailer are Dino Entei and Robo Terrakion (Dokutaro feels like too much of a spoiler and if they announce that they’re giving Flapple and Appletun the finger everyone who doesn’t follow the leaks is gonna assume those two are being treated fairly the Dipplin evo is probably too spoilery too + the leaks have completely forgotten anything about regional forms and I’ll be honest, so have I) so (because I want to introduce Dino Entei and Robo Terrakion to Temporal Boost as soon as possible and have therefore been putting off finishing chapter 7 for whenever there’s a definite chance of a trailer dropping because apparently the update delay is allowed to be stupidly long between chapters 6 and 7 but has to be really short between chapters 7 and 8) I will probably get to work on finishing work on the next chapter of TB and hopefully it will be out in the next few days. If I’m wrong about the next trailer including information about Dino Entei and Robo Terrakion oops guess it’ll be a while before chapter 8 comes out (funnily enough, unlike the Neo Swords, I am not part Psychic)

Went back to my fanfic Temporal Boost after several months and Bolt is chastising Wake for something but I can’t work out why. It can’t be setting the weather to Harsh Sunlight because that was Fire, not Wake. If anything, someone should chastise Fire for giving Wake an advantage

Finally got back to working on Temporal Boost and I’ve started writing a fight scene between the Proto Beasts and the strange thing is, I’m too invested in this to work on anything similar for the Neo Swords right now (I’m really enjoying exploring Fire’s personality here)

A few things about the next chapter of Temporal Boost (no I haven’t forgotten about it)

Okay, I was kinda hoping the arguments would wait until the end of the chapter, not the beginning

Hopefully now I’ve taken a break I can balance out the focus a bit better - Wake, Bolt and Deathborn should hopefully get more focus this chapter as opposed to Leaves being the unofficial main character of the fanfic and Wake and Phoenix (and I guess Crown) acting more like deuteragonists. QQQ still seems to be limited to one or if you’re lucky two lines per chapter, Phoenix and Crown already had a lot of focus in the last few chapters and it’s too early to tell how poorly I’ve been treating Fire and Boulder

I think Terapagos may end up being the villain with the least focus this chapter (which is good because Deathborn gets sidelined just as much as QQQ while Fire and Boulder have only just been introduced) just because if I split up the Proto Beasts and Neo Swords again it’s the only main villain that doesn’t nicely fit any pairs of the main characters. Speaking of Terapagos, I could probably give it a gender this chapter but I guess I’m sticking to gender-neutral Terapagos for now. I mean I’m sure Bolt and Crown would just continue to dehumanise it with it/its pronouns even if they knew its gender and pronouns. It might be interesting to have Fire and Boulder (and presumably Deathborn) as the only ones that know its gender. Yeah, uhh… idk if you can tell but so far only one chapter has been posted since the release of The Indigo Disk and a lot of the stuff in TB seems to be based on fan theories beforehand (like Terastal Form Terapagos being massive… yeah still kinda sad Terapagos doesn’t rival the last three Third Legendaries in terms of power) or just other stuff I thought would be cool. Yeah I seem to have had most of the fanfic planned out not long after Raging Bolt and Iron Crown were announced

Also I guess I have to comment on the coincidence of me naming a fanfic about the Proto Beasts and Neo Swords Temporal Boost when the English expansion introducing the Proto Beasts and Neo Swords to the TCG is called Temporal Forces (I still think Wild Force and Cyber Judge did it better)

It’s 10 days later than I said I would post it but here’s a Christmas present: I’ve finally posted chapter 8 of Temporal Boost

I know I’ve said it already but I haven’t forgotten about any of my four main fanfics. AitPU is updating slowly because idk how to write it but I think I’m fairly close to the end of the chapter (definitely closer to the end of the chapter than I am in the other three), TB is updating slower than usual because the next chapter is heavily reliant on something that hasn’t happened yet (Dino Entei and Robo Terrakion being announced) and MS and HoP are updating slowly because I haven’t made plans. But I have started writing all of them (even if I haven’t got very far in chapter 2 of MS or HoP yet)

I’ll be honest, I wasn’t planning on making a sequel to Temporal Boost (maybe a side story to it and Mach Speed but not a sequel) but I thought about the joke post I made saying I should make alternate versions set in the Metroid and Star Fox Universes and I’m thinking (once I get to the end of TB) I might actually make sequels in those two universes. Recently I started a WIP called Heroes of Another Story which was supposed to be a love story between Spire and Noxus and I think I might just rework that into the Metroid Universe sequel, then the Star Fox Universe sequel features Miyu and Fay (I’m surprisingly excited for that one). And if you’re wondering about how this is gonna work with so many characters, I have every intention of removing Phoenix and QQQ from the action in some way and I’ve worked out how in at least the Metroid sequel (the Metroid sequel may still end up getting tagged with the F-Zero series tag though)

I could in theory work a bit more on chapter 8 of TB if I wanted to (I’ve already written some stuff in it already) but I just don’t think I can really write any more until Dino Entei and Robo Terrakion have been announced. I mean technically I could and I could still write a few lines until I’m forced to use placeholder names but yeah. Btw this chapter can’t be released until the last two Paradoxes are announced so yeah I’m desperate for a trailer they’d better do something this week
