This is a great initiative in support of famous street artist TemptOne who developed amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). As anyone who has taken part in the ice bucket challenge will know, the condition is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that leads to eventual muscle movement loss. The Brainwriter is an open sourced project originally founded to enable TemptOne to continue creating art with his mind. The device monitors brain activity and then allows him to physically produce his thoughts and ideas through 3D printing.
