Despite Würm‘s objections, the Tattered Man disobeys the Caesar and commissions a deranged inventor to complete a time machine. The device traps Lon in ancient Germania... or, at least, a version of it.

So in the last post I reblogged, I mentioned how cool the fifth dimension in my tag. But then I realized most people don't know the fifth dimension and how cool it is! Or all ten theoretical dimensions and how cool the possibility of those dimensions are. So I thought I'd post a video that really nicely explains it all for your knowledge :) enjoy!

Here are some holiday happenings from the world of physics

Want to wrap your brain around some .. the holographic universe. Are we just a projection of another cosmos? Maybe this could explain that whole 'time slip' phenomenon I wrote about for days on here..

Either way, the theory of the holographic universe has now been mathematically tested. And it could be very well what we are.. one model suggests that the universe exists in nine dimensions of space and one in time. There are some other amazing things in the DAILY MAIL story about this premise..

While you're trying to ponder that one, here's another: The prospects that the universe itself will end. That everything that is will not be and everything that has happened will have been for nothing, since no one ever will no of it--since there will be a lack of something, and a lack of nothing. This is the phase transition theory, and it's getting more traction. 

According to a study from Denmark, the collapse of the universe is 'closer than before'.. Essentially, every particle in the entire will become too heavy and the universe will collapse on itself. And cease to exist. Imagine.. a history of time gone. There would be no time, no need for history, and NOT EVEN a lack of history since a collapse and end of the universe would equal a lack of nothing. 

So what are we? Why are we here? 

I don't know.

I bet you don't either.

DC 45: What is the Universe

Well, adrienpellerin, I don't consider myself an astronomer. Apparently, it's a HOLOGRAM. 

But sometimes, it's tv show.

Yep. The universe is just one long tv show waiting to get canceled. Word, Adrian? Did'ju just compare the universe to a 25 minute Emmy-nominated comedy series? Sorta, but stay with me for a few moments on this one:

Basically, the Universe is as simple as 1 + 1. just the sum of all things in existence, including both all Known and Unknown elements.

The Known Universe consists of all things made up of matter. This includes all that has ever been, is, and will be to infinity. You know, the whole conservation of mass thing? 

AB + CD = ABCD

Basically, since matter can’t be created or destroyed, but just...reconfigured, nothing’s REALLY new! Pretty neat to think that all our body parts and everything around us descended from the STARS. From the mighty mountains to the lowliest tic, we share our physical make-up and building blocks with huge burning balls of gas..

But the Universe is more than that! It's also the glue that binds the human experience to our species: thoughts, dreams, fears, aspirations, love, hate, art, science, literature, the whole nine! 

But that's just the Universe we KNOW about..

The weirdest part about it all: it’s an entirely subjective experience! Your blue vs My blue' kinda deal. 

If all I know is my consciousness, that's not to say that things I haven't experienced don’t exist.

Just because I haven’t seen Antarctica in person doesn’t mean it ain’t there….(but what if it wasn’t?! Can someone put me in contact with a person who’s actually been!?) Same thing applies to history, and the future. The American Civil War definitely happened, we went to the moon! 

If we can accept that, then who’s to say there aren't lifeforms on other planets? Sure the chances might be astronomical...but they’re probably thinking the same about us. Hell, there could be an entire parallel universe existing in the same space that was just...invisible (existing in the 5th dimension or 7th or...or even TEN?! But that’s where my Nobel laureate in the making *** expertise wanes thin..

TLDR: What's the Universe? A badass With stars for great great great etc. grandparents, we're bound to shine brilliantly.

It was a challenging, 70-hour week, followed by a weekend of alternating exhaustion and sickness. I’m now in full recovery mode, catching up on the ten dimensions and ruminating on the fact that going back to work feels like a vacation.
