Hey, I think I was one of the more recent ones to follow you and comgrats on the followers! Its a good thing to be going into 2017 with! I was so excited to see that you post leverage and sense8 stuff too! Could you expand on the leverage/sense8 ficlet you just posted about Elliot noticing how weird Nomi moved and either a continuation of that or the same scene but from the cluster's pov? Thank you so much and a happy early new years!
Okay, continuation of Nomi at the brewpub, coming right up!
“You’d better come upstairs,” Eliot says, at length. He wants badly to text Hardison and Parker again, but he doesn’t want to take his eyes off Nomi even for a moment, so he’s just going to have to trust that they paid attention to his first text. He takes Nomi up to the apartment, keeping her in front of him, though she stays in her easy, definitely-not-a-deadly-criminal pose the whole time.
Hardison and Parker are waiting upstairs. Eliot can’t help but smile at them, a little, with his eyes. Of course they paid attention to him. Of course they’re ready.
“Nomi Marks,” Hardison says, spreading his arms like he’s introducing her to a party. “Fugitive, wanted for cyberterrorism. Supposedly on the run from justice in Australia.”
Nomi’s body language changes to a completely different set, the authoritative pose Eliot associates with cops. “Are you going to turn me in?”
Hardison laughs and waves his hands. “Nah, girl. We cool. Some of my best friends are wanted for cyberterrorism. Eliot, man, you can relax. I contacted her to help on a Black Book target.”
“Which one?” Eliot says, eyeing her.
“The Biologic Preservation Organization,” Nomi said. “Made out like bandits after the financial crash.”
“There’s something funny about her,” Eliot tells Parker and Hardison. “Something she ain’t telling you. I’m not ready to relax yet.”
“What isn’t she telling us?” Parker asks, calmly.
Nomi studies Eliot. She knows he’s onto her. But she also knows he’s not sure what’s off about her yet.
“I don’t know yet,” Eliot concedes. “But sooner or later, I’m gonna work it out.”
