In the wee hours of the night, there were only so many things that could happen: sex, doing drugs, drinking alcohol, or murder. Or at least when it came to Handsome Jack. The first meeting he’d had with Legosi wasn’t a bad one by any means, at least not for Jack. Sure he’d annoyed the wolf a bit, but there were no hard feelings, right? But that first meeting had left an impression on Jack. You see, there were plenty of poor bastards back home like Legosi: passive, begging to be manipulated, weak... It wasn’t such a huge deal to him then, considering he had anyone and everyone in his palm. The world bent to Handsome Jack’s will, as it should be. But these days... These days, it wasn’t quite so easy. The folks here weren’t quite falling for it. A hell of a lot of them were more powerful than him, something that made him feel sick to his stomach. It was just a fact: Jack wasn’t much without all his game pieces. He wasn’t a siren, or a God, or a dictator, he was just some normal guy with a deceitfully handsome face and a shotgun. See where this was going? He needed to feel powerful again-- like Handsome Jack. Not like the man who was once a cog in the corporate machine. Like a ruler, like a king, like the God he should’ve been. And if that meant killing some poor idiot just for the rush, then hell, he was on-board. So he tailed the wolf for a while all quiet-like, waited until he made a bad choice in locale. Somewhere quiet, desolate, and luckily for him, the boardwalk was the perfect place. The closed amusement park was kind of eerie, deathly silent against the sound of the waves crashing on the beach and against the posts. Kudos to this guy for picking a good place to get murdered, at least. At the next opportunity Jack made his move, ambushing the wolf by surprise. His left hand shoved Legosi against the wall, while his right secured a tight grip on Legosi’s throat, nails digging into the nape of his neck. It wasn’t quite impossible for the wolf to breathe yet, but it was surely uncomfortable. ❝ Well isn’t this a pleasant surprise! Didn’t think I’d be seeing you again. ❞ Jack grinned up at the wolf. Sure, the anthropomorphic wolf had four or so inches on him, but that didn’t intimidate him. He'd killed bigger bastards before. Besides, for some reason he didn’t get the feeling that Legosi would fight back. ❝ What’s the deal? Why’re you out so late, huh? ❞ His grip slightly increased with the dip in his voice. ❝ Did doggy need a walk, mm? Don’tcha know it’s dangerous to be out alone at this time of night? ❞ Part of the thrill of the hunt was tormenting and mocking the prey before slowly, painfully killing it. Like a cat batting a mouse around before finally putting it out of it’s misery.
