though this is RARE , that he be of a demanding mood , he still cannot help but use his teeth to playfully nibble at the fringes of cloth at thranduil’s COLLAR all in a playful ploy to seize the elvenking’s attention . he grins through it all , but is a CONNIVING rapscallion all the same .
@tenebrouscrown LIKED FOR A STARTER
It was rare that he left his grey shores and haven hewn from stone and driftwood. He did not enjoy to be away from the crashing of the waves and the roar of the surf. Dry air devoid of the sea mist felt biting and tight upon his skin. However, it was word of what had occurred in the East that drew him out; discussions brought up at the White Council and news from others in the region that spoke of the land far beyond the mountains.
The last time he had seen Thranduil had been at the end of a great battle when he had assumed the role of King in the days following the tragic loss of his father. A loss he still held himself responsible for, a loss that created a great weight of guilt upon him for an Age.
The shipwright had been dismayed at the sight of the Greenwood as his small company traveled through it but the Halls of the Elvenking were warm and inviting once behind the gates. Even still, he felt chilled in his nerves as he paced while awaiting the arrival of the King.
for @tenebrouscrown & @tofindthesun
there are trees at the bottom of your heart and you know the name of each and every one of them.
there are thorns underneath your tongue and each one carves out a different symphony.
there is hope, there are eyes, there are hands
at the bottom of the river there’s the face beneath the waves its lips move through the murkiness of shame, it whispers
i wish you could see the stars the way i do.
when you trace your footsteps back you find you have no way of finding home.
there’s a pup that’s calling your name can you hear it?
there’s a pup and there’s hidden light beneath the leaves it’s like the face beneath the waves only you could trace it like memory, like madness, like rage.
only you know every sky and every smile and the pup keeps on calling
and you can no longer find your way home.
Home was far behind her, a mountain range separated her from it but deep within her bones was the ache to set out unto the world. There were too many perils that echoed within the past; a destroyed home and the threat of an all too familiar evil looming in the distance. She needed time away, she needed to clear her head and to feel at home within her own hroa once again.
High in the sky the golden eagle pinwheeled on the updrafts over the foothills but she kept to her path through the underbrush on foot. She wore no armor save for the light leather armor. No, here she meant to survive solely upon her own skills as a hunter but she had been a student of Oromë and was confident in her abilities.
It was the warning call from the eagle above that alerted her to the presence of another ahead. She ducked down even as she drew an arrow from her quiver, notching it upon the bow as she looked for the slightest difference in the foliage and terrain around her that would give the newfound companion away. Another hunter would be welcome but there were darker, more foul things roaming the world and she was prepared for them.
