hiatus notice.
i am mentally, physically and emotionally exhausted. i’ve been in on-and-off constant pain for the last two weeks and struggling with addiction recovery for much, much longer. i hate how quiet i’ve gone on here, and i really wish i could muster the energy to write, but everything is p much a mess right now, and i’m exhausted beyond belief. i’ll be around lurking and occasionally liking posts/sending in memes, but that’s for now all i can muster. apologies to everyone.
mom please dont antagonize my boyfriend ok i like him a lot and dont need u scaring him off.

the wolf brood call her mother
troll-born staff bearer
soon all will yield
to the yawning gap”
Petros Koublis
The forest is a peculiar organism of unlimited kindness and benevolence that makes no demands for its sustenance and extends generously the products of its life activity; it affords protection to all beings, offering shade even to the axe-man who destroys it.
Gautama Buddha
The cool moisture of the evening’s rain clumps thegrits of sand still lingering in the soles of her scuffed boots; accumulatedfrom what proved a fruitless (and disheartening) trek through the Dune Sea ofNear-Harad. But neither toes nor fingers notice the damp for her skin was touched by frost long ago.
The other’s politeness could be read as eager for companyif not for the simple practicalities of traveling with another through these once abandoned woods. ❝Agreed. Bandits, or if any Orcs remain. I assume many retreatedhere following the Battle of Pelennor,❞ tired eyes glance at the other. Still, she shall not discover the side shefought on there when her allegiance was sworn to Shadow. ❝Besides, we are both headed in the same direction.❞
She smiles: it is a feeling her face curls around with glee. Warmth creeps into her eyes.
Berjag ui, d’râkeg her mother whispers in her memories as she’s brushing her hair. The heat of the sand. A child Himeleth knows is herself scoffs, but there is laughter underneath her voice. D’râktâri, the Wolf-Woman of the Firstborn laughs alongside her eldest daughter.
Now, in the murkiness of the morning after a storm, with her body breaking slowly to the burning of her heart (foolish creatures, these Unwilling: they would rather become dust than be forgiven) she decides to trust (Vezely, after all, has said she hails from Dorwinion: while it has not been her home for a long time, it is still in her heart. Memories, like stars beneath her tongue). Maybe even foolishly.
“Then we better set ourselves upon our path. The road is long, and the storm may return.”
The fortunes of the world will rise and fall, but here in this kingdom, we will endure.
