Both Love and Zaraki share the same inspiration behind the design of their abilities: the Oni.
In Japanese folklore, Oni is a type of Yōkai that wields massive weapons (iron Kanabō clubs) which both Love and Zaraki can be seen wielding in their respective Shikai (giant mace for Love, giant axe for Zaraki). Oni also have one or more horns on their foreheads, like the ones Zaraki can be seen having in his Bankai and the one Love has on his Hollow Mask.
Outside of this, Oni are also known for their love of alcohol, which is why Nozarashi's Release Command is "Drink", as well for their red, blue, black, or yellow colored skin, which is why Zaraki's Bankai turns his skin red.
