DOJ Statement on Integration

Rutherford County Community Conversation
TennesseeWorks is partnering with EmpowerTN to host a Community Conversation on November 29, which is a free event for people with disabilities and will focus on the topic of independent living.

Upcoming State of Tennessee Employment Consortium Meeting
The next STEC meeting is set for June 7 from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. at One Cannon Way in Nashville. DIDD will provide an update regarding the Employment First State Leadership Mentoring Program and TennesseeWorks will share resources that will lead to competitive integrated employment outcomes. Additionally, TennCare will provide an overview of the Employment and Community First CHOICES program that will begin on July 1. Vocational Rehabilitation will be present to talk about the Pre-Employment Transition Service component of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.
