Literally everyone when your resident airheaded clash blaster picks up the rainmaker in over time
I get why the Big Swig has its own tier cause it’s a weird weapon, but I think Tentabrellas and Dapple Dualies deserve their own too. I’d put them in “Backbone of the Game” as they play one of only two weapons with beacons.
The purest joy I see when I play Anarchy or X rank and someone has one of these weapons is immeasurable. I offer you only the best wishes and love as you help keep people like me, splatroller main, in the frontlines.
I won’t be the change I want to see in the world though. Tentabrella is buggy and I suck at dualies. I am a hypocrite, but a thankful one.
Here's a tip for using the tenta-brella no matter which version or your play-style. The best ability to have equipped with the tenta-brella is Main Power Up which I will explain in the next paragraph. I'd recommend 2 as your as your main ability and an Ink Saver Main for your final main slot. Your sub abilities can be filled with whatever you're comfortable with, but since this weapon is an ink guzzler, try to have 1 or 2 slots for Ink Saver Main or Ink Recovery and the rest should be based around Swim Speed because it's imperative that you're able to maneuver quickly with this weapon or if you're not that aggressive you could try Ink Resistance and/or Bomb Resistance. The key here is to either have good swim speed, high defense, or some combo of both since this weapon is as close combat as you can get.
Now to explain why Main Power Up is so important for the Tenta-brella. I can safely tell you, there's almost no way to play carefully with this weapon. If you're the type of person that likes to play it safe rather than jumping in the thick of it, then the tenta just isn't for you. After all it's a giant shield that automatically announces your position to the enemy team, so more often than not you'll be on the business end of focus fire from 2-3 rival players all game. The Tenta-brella is ok against one enemy in terms of blocking damage, but two will shred your Brella like wet newspaper. Hence where Main Power Up comes. 1 MPU alone increases your Brella's durability by a whopping 43%, but with 2 as your main ability? They'll be shooting your shield for days. 3 is where the stacking weakens significantly so unless you're just spamming your outfit with MPU I wouldn't recommend any more than the 2 as your MAIN abilities.
Personally, I've only have my Brella broken under 2 occasions with the proper MPU and that's when they double special spammed it via like 2 splash downs cuz it can actually tank 1 without breaking lmao and when the entire team focused my Brella cuz I was in spawn and that doesn't matter when you have the splash wall variant of thtweapon cuz it will still take some time for them to chew through your Brella and you should have a splash wall ready by then. I've consistently lived through entire enemy team focus fire with the proper defense equipped upon my Sorella Brella and the proper timing.
So yeah if you're dying a lot with the Tenta-brella then consider adding some Main Power Up to your arsenal. I honestly wouldn't recommend using this weapon without it since the tenta can't do its job properly without MPU with that being tanking damage.
There's barely any guide videos for this weapon and I haven't seen any of them mention how important Main Power Up is because they usually want to show off how precise they are at 1-shooting people and getting bubble kills behind their shield for YouTube views, but that's not what this weapon is about. You'd obviously be better off using a charger to 1-shot people or really literally anything else that 1-shots.
No, the Tenta-brella is about having an annoyingly high, near impenetrable defense, and once you realize that and abuse it to your abilities, you'll find yourself hard tanking your team to victory everytime.
Happy camping Tentas!

Has this been done yet?
Waugh??
The point of the tentabrella isn’t to be “good” at it. It’s to create situations like these. xD
