Did some fresh art of Teo bc I didn't like an old one I did. Still playing around with how to depict his powers in color.

Some sketchbook doodles feat Victoria and Teo
Who's your favorite oc right now and what's their deal? 👀
Okay so I love all my characters mostly equally (side-eyes Roland) (he's hard to write) but if I had to pick a favorite it's Teodoro "Teo" Rogel! He's from a little comic project I'm working on called Team Resolute, here's the semi-offical description of that it'll make everything I have to say about him make more sense lol:
"The Organization, aka ORG, is an international group focused on researching, containing, and handling magic related problems across the globe. Their teams investigate thefts of magical artefacts, negotiate safe use of magical land, and fight magic-using criminals. Victoria Robinson, Jett Logan, Roland Lloyd, Dan Ellis, and Teo Rogel are all ORG agents of… certain reputations. But after an unexpected team up sees them working together to save a hotel full of UN delegates, these five find themselves assigned to the same team, Team Resolute!"
So Teo is the youngest member of Team Resolute, he's only 18 when the comic starts. And he's very new to all of this! He has super powers (energy/hard light projection and flight) which emerged when he as in his late teens, right around the time his mother died. Suddenly orphaned with superpowers and in a tough financial situation, joining ORG was his best bet bc he gets housing at their base as part of his compensation and his powers make him an attractive candidate.
At ORG Teo is initially assigned to Team Dauntless, with Dan Ellis (the team leader and a former super hero) and Roland Lloyd (doesn't play well with others but very powerful). Dan and Teo have similar powers and some common elements in their back stories (both don't have much of a family and don't have much to go back to back home, Dan was a super hero as a teenager and Teo has entered this world very young) (Roland also has a lot of these elements but hell if he's going to let that on to anyone) so Dan is very solidly in a mentor role to Teo. While also having some fun crisises about that but this post is not about Dan so.
Anyways once they're on Team Resolute Teo ends up being friends with Jett Logan (teleporter, stealth/tech specialist, easiest character to write). As Teo gets over his new kid/training stuff he becomes kinda the 'smart guy' of the team but in a very specific version of that trope where like he just really likes to learn stuff. Goes down wikipedia rabbit holes for funsies kinda guy. Any time they encounter something wierd or new he's the first one to hit the records room and see what he can find out about it.
Also his powers are going to evolve as he comes into himself and stops copying Dan. His powers can actually project like a shield to protect himself and others near him which is probably something that will happen a good bit bc I do love when a character dramatically dives in front of anther character to protect them.
ok I think this post has gotten long enough I don't want to get too deep into specific story beats since im still writing my comic but I love him I love him so much. I love them all truly they're my little guys. I'll post/reblog some art with him soon I need to find a good one bc the one I drew yesterday is not so great. He's in the WIP I posted earlier today if you saw that. Anyways thanks so so much for the ask friend I love to talk about my little guys!!
Posting a little wip of the thing CSP tried to eat yesterday bc we are back we are winning we are communicating a story with a series of images
