Nagisa managed to keep his straight face as long as possible as Gou outlined all the changes. He kept it all bottled up inside for as long as he could, but then decided he needed a hug. For that, there was only one person who could do. Makoto!

He already had siblings so he felt a lot like an older brother to the blond, and that was what he was counting on right now as he ran after Makoto once school let out. “MAKO-CHAN!!!” The blond ran into Makoto’s back, sobbing as he hugged the other, falling to his knees in perhaps just a touch of too much drama.

Then again, the blond had always been high energy and rather excitable...

♒ —    After a long few months of training, and meetings with sponsors, Rin and some of his teammates finally had a few days off to relax and have fun. And the first night of their freedom, one of them had suggested going to a bar where there was live music. And Rin was all for it. Drinks, dance, music...a good time all night. Most definitely.

Reaching there, they took a table and began to drink. They were having a blast when they suddenly ran out of drinks, so Rin and another offered to get them some more when it was announced about the next band that would be playing.

While at the bar, Rin looked around, waiting for his turn to order and noticing that it was crowded. It wasn’t like this before, the next band must be quite good and popular.

As the first song began, Rin ordered the drinks and beer, grabbing one for himself as he turned towards the stage to see what was the big deal with this band.

Red and blue.

He had seen those colors flashing, and the sirens wailing, but the situation was still unclear to him. He was on his way to his swim practice when something happened. Something hit him. Something that caused his car to roll. Something that snapped his legs in half, something all too real. He blacked out from the pain.

His best friend and team mate since childhood, Rin Matsuoka has made sure to be the first there to see him, but he wasn’t prepared for what he had heard. Due to the severeness of his injuries, Olympic hopeful Haruka Nanase would never walk again. Ending his career before it even started, causing the red head to burst into tears, hysterically crying into another man’s chest. He was taller, dark hair, but he knew how painful this had to be.

The next thing Haru knew he was in a hospital room. Trying to remember what happened..

There are hundreds, if not thousands of things Kaoru loves about being a twin. Messing with people, that’s a big one. Actually it’s a whole bunch in one, really, because of all the different ways they can mess with someone. Then there’s the fact that he knows, hands down, no matter who else comes and goes, Hikaru will be there.  

And then, there are the little things. Like the way that when Kaoru loses something, and he’s looked everywhere he would have put it, he always knows exactly who to ask before declaring it truly lost. Like now, as he pokes his head round a doorframe to find his brother.

“Hey, Hikaru? Have you seen my blue shirt? The one with the little stripe on the collar?”

he’d left one of the faculty offices with haste , nose taped up with the remaining traces of blood & rustling around with the papers that were in an unorganized heap in his hands . he hated when that teacher kept him later than he planned - it messed up his timing & itsuki was one who liked to keep to a plan . 

without paying attention , his shoulder collided with someone else , sending sheet music spreading across the ground . brows knit in annoyance , a soft “ tch “ sound leaving him .

❝ haruki-san -- ❞ his fingers come together in a steepled motion, his gaze averted as a light dusting of pink covers his cheeks. it’s likely obvious that he’s embarrassed about something.

    As the end of his freshman year of University came to a close, Kisumi couldn’t help but find himself searching aimlessly for something to hold on to. He wasn’t the worst at school, but he wasn’t exactly driven when it came to academia. Going to university seemed like the safest option. To Kisumi, University would give him the extra push he needed to finally decide on a route as many as his other friends did.     While his friends sorted out their paths and led to way to great lives, Kisumi found himself falling further and further behind. This state of mind left him to his own devices as he splurged on temporary pleasures and continuously shut the door in the face of his main issue. Pad lock after pad lock, Kisumi drowned out the dreading feeling in his stomach and continued to numb it with socializing. Kisumi was becoming dependent on his friends.     Today in particular, he was doing better. Before him was a welcoming mug of coffee partnered with a plate of small treats. He was waiting for someone. The heel of his shoe brushed against the tile flooring of the cafe, eyes cast to the world outside of the small space. His softened expression only beamed upon feasting his eyes on the man of the hour. A hand lifted, waving at him through the window until the door chimed behind him. 

    “Makoto-- how are you?” Kisumi grinned, hands folding pleasantly into his lap, “With it still being swim season it seems everyone is so busy, but I’m glad you made time for me!”

     “if you tell me to paint you like one of my french girls, i’m kicking you out of my apartment.” it’s not a line he gets all too often, surprisingly, even though youngsoo looks and acts every bit the romantic parisian artist that he is. but he’s heard it one too many times already and, given his own snobbish regard with his own creativity and artwork, it’d truly be in the other’s best interest to remain silent ( lest he do something else just as dramatic and violent ).
