TEOSE putting out another lofi indie piece with wonderful vocals.

There’s a great energy to this track from Teose, loving the dual’ish vocals and the build ups. More of a slacker-vibe on this where the vocals actually sets themselves apart.

This being the lead track of their upcoming double single release ‘What’s Going On?’ gives a great introduction to the band.

The relaxed tone of the song really counteracts Brisbane’s lyrics that highlight the conflict faced when coming to terms with aspects of yourself that you don’t particularly like. She seems to be self-aware in the lyrics (‘I know that I won't make any amends / cuz I try too hard and I’m too intense’) that this characteristic is slightly out of her control. The chorus (‘I can’t tell what is wrong / what’s going on?’) contrasts this self awareness and allows Brisbane to take comfort in acting oblivious to her own inner turmoil.
