Karma was a common kid, nothing special about her until the age of ten when she started to focus in learning what surrounded her, motives, meanings. It’s normal for a child to be curious, so the adults didn’t mind for a while. Her asks became quite deep though, and sometimes they wouldn’t answer it, whenever that happened, the little girl would skip to another grown up and ask again.
It once happened that everyone around got used to her habits and the available adults didn’t want to answer her questions. The only place she hadn’t visited yet was a temple up on the nearby mountains. Even being a bit farther, it was still considered from her village, Lung Tien, so she could go there.
She walked a long hour to be greeted by a different couple. A race she’d only see eventually when her parents decided to take her to the capital, and those were rare even there. Frozen by the end of the huge stairway, Karma was suddenly shy, yet still being consumed by growing and brand new curiosity. Luckily the couple was friendly and they also seemed to be interested in the child for some reason.
The little girl took the afternoon to get to know her monk neighbors that were about the same height as she was. They seemed interested, almost in awe everytime she asked something; eventually they let out their thoughts saying something about expecting a child of their own, wondering if it would be as curious as she was. “Hopefully” she giggled out.
