I don't know if this is a hot take but I feel like Ultra is at its heart an episodic show. For me its most soaring heights are usually self-contained episodes or occasionally two-parters. And so I don't see any reason why anyone has to commit to watching an entire season of Ultraman to get the greatest hits. There's something nice about watching the whole thing, but the quality varies a lot episode to episode and there's no need to put off experiencing some fantastic television due to being overwhelmed by a ton of 40+ episode shows. You don't need to see all of Blazar to appreciate "Planet of Music," or Max to love "Butterfly Dream." And you certainly don't need to slog through all of Ace to watch its masterful if awkwardly titled fourth episode, "300 Million Year Old Chouju Appears".
In short, I think more people should be fine with just putting on a random episode of ultraman every now and then and seeing what happens, and I'd encourage people to watch the "greatest hits" even if they're not interested in watching a whole show.
