Swanfire af for the ship ask?
Drinks all of the coffee: Whoever gets to it first tbh. They’re both big coffee drinkers– habit from coffee being a cheap excuse to hide out in a diner when it’s raining and you’re homeless. But usually Emma’s up earlier and has gone through most of the pot by time Neal wakes up. he whines. A lot.
Brings up adopting a pet: Henry tbh. But he asks his dad first, because he figures Neal is the easiest sell. They talk Emma into a puppy if they both swear they’ll be the ones walking it and feeding it.
Kills the bugs: Neal kills the spiders, Emma kills anything big that can fly because ‘they creep me out, Emma.”
Cooks the meals: They alternate when they eat at home; they’re both okay-ish at the basics, but they usually find an excuse for take out tbh.
Starts getting into holidays way before they should: Neal. Emma has a strict one holiday at a time rule and can’t deal with him trying to play Christmas music before Thanksgiving, but it’s more bickering for the sake of bickering than actually being annoyed by it.
Initiates the couple selfies: Usually Henry grabs both of them for a family shot; Neal’s more likely to take candids of Emma (he was SUPER into his stolen polaroid camera when they were kids, and he’s the same way with a camera phone.)
Forgets the birthdays and anniversaries: Neal. Not out of a lack of getting excited about them, because he thinks they’re a big deal, but he spent 200 years in a place where time doesn’t move, and he’s switched lands so often– he’s not even sure he remember his real birthday at this point. So he usually needs reminding. Emma, on the other hand remembers everything, because she spent so long being the only person she could count on to remember important dates.
Always ends up with too much junk food after grocery shopping: Both. Many a time, they’ll go to make dinner, thinking they’ve got a fully stocked pantry, only to realize it’s fully stocked with poptarts and oreos.
Nicknames the other: Neal’s quicker to use petnames (mostly baby or babe), and calls her Em, but Emma follows suit on the petnames pretty quickly once she gets used to him using them for her. They don’t really have proper nicknames, though.
