She sighed quietly, exiting smoothly out the back door of the theater. It had been yet another successful show, but she was ready for her break. She ran a hand through her hair, ruffling it lightly as she walked. Eight shows a week certainly did take its toll. She would never grow tired of glamour that came with it though. The lights, the applause, the adventure, the make up... She chuckled rolling her eyes at herself. She probably looked like a clown, walking down the street in her stage make-up. " I'm a hot mess.." She muttered to herself as she turned the corner, bringing her out of the dark ally and into the bustling glimmer of New York. She stopped for a moment, taking in the city she loved, this was probably as good as it was going to get for her. She couldn't complain of course, she'd made a lot further than most could say. She shook her head keeping her gaze low as she began to walk, slowly, again, she'd always had this insatiable hunger... she couldn't explain it.
She lifted her gaze, pushing back her thoughts. Her eyebrows furrowed slightly when she spotted a man that seemed to radiate a similar hunger to hers. Was it that obvious on her? She looked away, shifting her bag again and continuing to walk as she fought to keep her striking eyes forward.
How peculiar. From across the street, I spotted a woman who seemed to possess an air the likes of which that I had not encountered in quite sometime. The talent and beauty rolled off of the woman in droves, and such qualities harked back to the long since forgotten memories of Dorian Gray's tragic beloved Sybil Vane- the fool that she was.
At any rate, the way that this woman's gaze flitted upon my figure now was curious, indeed. Instantly, I was intrigued. Unfurling a charming smile upon thin lips, I was standing before her in but a mere few strides. Azure hues glistened in their fascination, inclining my head slightly as my voice came out, alluring in its way, "Hello, darling. And just who might I have the pleasure of addressing?"
