Tere speaks!

It's great to see Tere return, and it's great to hear her!

I got the impression that the actress has a slight speech irregularity, so even more yay for giving her lines at last, and for normalizing performers who may have speech pattern idiosyncracies that would impact standard castings.

I really hope we get to see (and hear!) more of Tere as Begoña settles into the dollhouse life.

[organizational note: I will start tagging these as 'mafin wider context' going forward because some of these entries are not really Mafin. And while my initial idea was to make the Mafin bits more resounding by addressing aspects surrounding them, it's a bit difficult to tag that way. I'll add 'mafin' when it's Mafin and put the rest in the general SdL tag]

Another line for Tere! I'll drink a coffee to that.

She looks so happy, too (she is the only happy character in this shot). Interesting twist by Costuming to make Begoña's blouse and collar echo the staff dress: caged unhappy housewife?

That Agustín analysis was more urgent, but my actual favorite shot of this episode? How passive-aggressively Sánchez can make Begoña butter a slice of bread. Great moment.

...also in this scene: the setup of Begoña getting involved with poor families who raise children taken away from their imprisoned mothers.

If it's the same as in other countries, it's often families who did it for the money; it is also something else here administered by the church: the supposed "care" of the orphanage and then of the priests distributing children forcefully separated from their parents into families not their own.

it does underline Begoña giving up on Andrés (and struggling with it) since this is what would happen to her if she were imprisoned as an adulteress, yet the topic of the church judging individual life choices (romantic choices, mostly) of women and having the power of sending them to jail for it threaded through both the Begoña and the Cloe plot.
