Attempt to generate a complex envelope by cutting a geometric surface with material models, to be used as a skin for the column grid.

Method 1: Move the assembled material models until they are directly tangent to the geometric surface. Method 2: Project parts of the material models onto a plane to create 2D representations, extract their contour lines, and then make them tangent to the geometric surface.
