Unit type: Patrol Unit

RED type units are the most commonly manifactured units. They can be human, cyborg or robot. Every one of them is equipped with a laser pistol and an electric baton, but it is possible to change weapons depending on the task given.

Due to the large amount of RED units we have provided a hierarchy, the units with 9 dots being highest in command, and 1 dot being the lowest.

The back of their armor provides 2 attachments that can be used for ammo, medkits or batteries.

RED type units can be used in any situation but are mainly used for patrolling. Nice of them to provide weak spots. Shoot the glowing bits. Try not to kill the humans.

Obligatory english isnt my first language so I have no clue if any of this is actually understandable :p Also I'm calling this universe(?) Beyond Repair because lore reasons and also it sounds cool, probably

My biggest Fallout pet peeve feels... So niche.

I come from a family of medieval reenactors, and I have some damn good knowledge about how leather, metal, and linin armor. My dad makes me the stuff in the workshop out back of his house with a forge that requires just fire and sometimes ecellerant if it is cold out.

All that being said- what the absolute fuck is up with no one making their own stuff??? I know, I know, it is just a video game and a lot of it is for the aesthetic... but the leather and metal armor are not part of the atomic fashion.

Throat? Kidneys? Apparently not important in the wasteland. Even the heavy armor leaves the throat wide open, and some designs leave the kidneys completely unprotected. A Marshall's nightmare if I ever saw one.

When characters are lightly armored they get a pass, but if they look like they mean business, they shouldn't be able to be taken down by a love tap to the lower back.

Then, when making outfits for my characters, I lean on the in game stuff and keep being disappointed with my results. That's on me and I'm trying to break the habit.

Fun fact: there are some nerves under your arm that if you hit them hard enough there will be a slight pause, and then you will have a hard time breathing for a bit. It is an area that isn't easily armored because you need a full range of movement.

"the female sole survivor makes no sense" is a fo4 criticism that always has me raising my eyebrows. you really cannot imagine any reason a woman would have firearm experience? not a single one?

through all their faults, bethesda clearly wants their fallout games to be driven by an emotional core. and i think it's kind of sad that most people's knee-jerk response to that will be dismissal and rejection without even trying to examine what's there.
