Happy #winewednesday friends - tonight calls for some continued enjoyment of the 2007 @terralsole Solista Syrah Toscana IGT. Dark and earthy with plum, cherry and dark chocolate. Wonderful acid and a finish that sails for an eternity. 13 years on and this still has another 20 + years ahead of it. Three new wines from @terralsole - the 2006 and 2007 Coldoro Merlot and the 2007 Solista Syrah. Really interesting to assess the Merlot side by side. The 2006 is dark, brooding and a little bit wild where the 2007 is restrained, light and quite elegant both on the bouquet and palate. The Syrah is absolutely delightful with cherry, tobacco, licorice, dried cranberry and tea with acidity and finish that align beautifully.
