Translated from french: women’s earth. It is a non profit women rights organisation founded in Hamburg 1981. Terres des femmes aims to internationally network with other women rights organisations, they fight against forced marriage, trafficking, forced prostitution, domestic violence and many more horrific acts against women. I stumbled across this advert whilst on Instagram and it hit a note for me. As a young woman being conscious of what your wearing is inevitable, however we don't need to be labelled by a chosen outfit. This image explains how women are characterised by the length of their skirt, plunge of the neckline or height of the heel, and this needs to be stopped. I think the advert is compelling and powerful, as just by a ruler length, we can be called a variety of derogatory names, which may have damaging affects for some women and their self confidence.
