A couple folks on my discord server and I were chatting about it. It would be awfully telling if Solas was an evil POC in a game that had few POC to begin with. Like, Dorian and Bull aside, there aren’t many POC on the inquisitor’s team that would help allay the “POC is evil/evil Black man” trope. But, really, the answer should have been to make a more racially diverse cast, not to make the villain white.

tbh if you ask me they kind of kicked that bucket when they made the qunari into a literal antagonist race and that entire subplot with them being “invaders from a foreign land who want to kill us all because their culture/religion says so” like...........if they were trying to cancel out that unacceptable shit show by making solas an egg they failed miserably
