Free yourselves from these Hinny shackles PLEASE!
I'm sorry not really but when people say "Harry and Ginny had good chemistry in the books" in regards to their relationship in the movies, it feels like they've just regurgitated the same mess that Hinny shippers spew. If you had any sort of reading comprehension skills ... at all there is no way you could claim that Hinny, or simply Ginny's character as a whole, was written well.
As I have stated before, Harry and Ginny's relationship felt forced and truth be told, it was. It came out of nowhere. It hits you like a milk truck because there was no development or buildup. Harry hardly thinks or speaks to and/or about Ginny until HBP but somehow Hinny shippers have deluded themselves into believing this is a great build up. Ginny having a one-sided hero worship crush on Harry for 5 years is not, I repeat, not good buildup. "Oh Harry spends all his summers at the Weasleys, they obviously would have connected then" :/ even if that were 100% true, wouldn't that be reflected during the school year as well yet Harry tends to act like Ginny is non-existent until the Half Blood Prince?
If you have gotten through the smoke and mirrors of the Hinny clique and realised that this relationship is poorly developed and Rowling just wanted Harry to be a Weasley – I applaud you. You did it. You made it. You've finally joined the big kids table.
Now don't get me wrong, you can ship whatever the absolute fuck you want. I truly don't give a shit. However, when you say shit like "What books were you reading" "You clearly didn't read the books" "You arent a true fan if you don't like Hinny" that's when you got me 50 shades of fucked up. Because baby, I assure you it's YOU who needs to reread the books if you think Harry and Ginny are the epitome of a healthy, well written relationship. Hell, if you think that about ANY of the canon ships in Harry Potter which includes Remadora, Romione (fucking hell especially this fuckass relationship), Jily, and Georgelina I am going to assume that you're either a child or new af to the fandom.
