i work in holborn and often walk across the river on waterloo bridge just for the beautiful views over london, with houses of parliament, big ben and the london eye on one side & the city and st pauls cathedral one the other. every time i get the same sense of wonder and amazement looking at this beautiful city that i love. sometimes i take a different route and walk down to to westminster and cross to south london on westminster bridge just to view the city from a different angle. this is why this feels so gut-wrenchingly awful - i know these places so well, this is my home. beyond sad to think that there are at least three people who might normally take the same stroll across the river who won't be coming back home tonight. heartbreaking.
