The mega corporation A.R.C. monopolises the industry by delivering brutal battles between histories deadliest warriors. When new and improved warriors are unveiled, it creates the spark that just might ignite a revolution. Oh yes now this is one of those books that regardless of how long it takes to come out you still have that desire to read it and see what's new. One look at the cover and you remember what it's all about with that shiver of recall in your memory. The whole idea here that clones are being made of history's greatest warriors, both of the good and the evil variety, and are entertainment in the arena is solid and not unheard of. Still there is a nice unique quality to what we see here that allows us to enjoy Terry's take on it. I really do like the way that this is being told. The story & plot development alongside the character development gives us a chance to experience Terry's writing, I would love to read his other series The Wicked Righteous, and experience his point of view as well as how he structures his story's. What we see here is strong and interesting and takes history and what we know of the characters while also infusing some modern twists thanks to the situation they find themselves in. So yeah I think Terry needs to create another series as well because the way he is able to weave the story & plot and the Character development in, out and around each as well as fusing them into one while the pacing constantly moves the story forward at a great pace. As the heroes of our little story come together and talk about what's been happening I find a very interesting development. Now it doesn't matter which characters are getting a spotlight they all get the same kind level and attention to their characterisation. So this is where we actually see the twists and turn and those developments that take you by surprise, oh in the best of ways too. I am enjoying the way that we see Terry taking the road less travelled and doing something people don't expect and instead give the reader a way to become more engaged and involved in the storytelling. I am also digging the interior artwork here. Question so we see plenty of tata's but no dangling bits I think that's a little for shame here. I mean they be clones but they aren't exactly Barbie and Ken dolls are they. Besides in this day and age seeing some dangly bits is a total bonus. Now that being said the linework is great and I enjoy seeing how the varying weights are being utilised to create some attention to detail. The creativity and imagination that we see here is marvellous as the paintings in Lionheart's room demonstrates. The utilisation of the page layouts and how we see the angles and perspective in the panels show a sensational eye for storytelling. The colour work is superb and I rather enjoy how we see the various hues and tones of the colours to create shading and shadows is nicely done. The events that we see this issue with the new clones do both what they were intended to do while advancing Doctor Zeal's own agenda. It also has another side effect Custer will make another stand and if it'll be his last or will he finally be able to write a new future for himself? I can't wait to find out either way because this is one of those stories that can go a thousand different ways and as those ideas run through my mind I know I'm hooked on a feeling.
