NOTICIAS: El baterista de RENAISSANCE, TERRY SULLIVAN, ha fallecido.

Sullivan nació en Londres, Inglaterra, y tuvo un éxito moderado con la banda de rock psicodélico Dry Ice, que tocó con The Who, Pink Floyd, Spooky Tooth, King Crimson y The Groundhogs y lanzó un sencillo, Running To The Convent, para IBC, filial de Island Records, en 1969. Grabó material para un álbum, pero no se publicó hasta 2018. Tras un tiempo tocando en Estados Unidos, Sullivan regresó al Reino Unido y se convirtió en baterista de Renaissance tras responder a un anuncio en Melody Maker. Su primer álbum con la banda fue el tercero, Prologue de 1972, y tocaría en todos sus discos hasta Azure d'Or de 1979, una etapa que incluyó el clásico de 1975, Scheherazade And Other Stories, y el sencillo de 1978, Northern Lights, que entró en el Top 10. Sullivan dejó Renaissance después de la grabación de Azure d'Or por un asunto de El principio, después de que su viejo amigo, el tecladista John Tout, fuera despedido tras cometer un error en el escenario. Looks like a very hard working band... This is a 1974 footage.

And, of course, they have their own place in music.

Is it just me or does the video at 1:50 remind me of the Alan Parsons Project song A Dream Within a Dream (at 2:25)?

If I remember correctly, most of the band's lyrics were written by a lyricist Betty Thatcher.

And fascinating/funny trivia about her:

"she won a scholarship to a grammar school, where she refused to take part in any examinations. After two years excelling in English and art, she transferred to a school that accepted difficult students."
