Hey guys :) Cat and I are super hyped to present the dates and prompts for this year’s terueden week! I can’t wait to see everyone’s creations!

The dates for are the 1st of Jan to the 7th :) I am so sorry for the crazy late announcement (literally starts tomorrow 😭), this last month has been crazy, but we hope you have fun regardless!!

Teruden Week Day 4: Luck

Something about Eden… something about her was wonderful. Teruko couldn't place her finger on any exact thing-- was it the way she laughed? The way her eyes sparkled with joy? The way she cared about everyone?

Or was it the fact that everything seemed to go right when they were together?

Nothing exploded, nothing fell-- hell, Teruko never even got injured. That was uncommon.

"Ah!" Eden grabbed Teruko's hand and snapped her out of her thoughts.

When the brunette glanced at her, squeezing her gloved hand slightly, the clockmaker pointed towards an ice cream stand. "Look! We should get some, right?"

Teruko wavered for a heartbeat. Each and every time she tried to get ice cream, something went awry. The scoop would fall off the cone, the stand would close, it'd melt before she even got to have some… would it be a waste of money this time?

But… even if it was, Eden looked so excited. So maybe it'd be worth it, if she got to see that smile stay on the other's face for a while longer.

"Alright. I'll try to think of a flavor I'd want." Teruko said with a small smile, allowing Eden to tug her along.

The shopkeeper greeted both of them with a smile. "Hello! What can I get for you both today?"

Eden glanced at the menu and lit up. "I would like one scoop of honeycomb ice cream, please! On a waffle cone, if you have any."

While Eden requested her flavor, Teruko took the opportunity to examine the menu in hopes it had red bean listed as a flavor. And, much to her excitement, it was!

"Can I get a scoop of red bean?" She asked as she watched Eden's order get made. She could feel the other shaking wth excitement.

"Righty-o!" The shopkeeper gave the clockmaker a toothy grin as he handed over her cone, and then he prepared to make Teruko's. "A waffle cone work for you, too, lass?"

Teruko nodded and waited patiently. She half expected to be told to choose a different flavor, because they were all out of red bean, but… no. No such words came from the shopkeeper's mouth.

As he held out the cone, his eyes sparkled with kindness. "Say, why don't I let you two have these for free? 100th customers of the day-- it'll be a thank-you for swinging by."

Teruko froze in shock from that alone, but Eden had a much better reaction.

"Thank you!" The clockmaker chirped, "have a good day, sir!"

Eden tugged Teruko off once they both had their cones. Within minutes, Eden had finished hers off-- but Teruko was savoring hers. She rarely got ice cream, and it had never been this good when she had been able to have it.

Eden let go of Teruko's hand in favor of locking arms with her. Nearby, there sounded to be some chaos, but neither of them paid much mind to it.

…it was nice. This was nice. Eden made her feel complete, and feeling complete was a wonderful thing.

Not even an eternity would be enough time for her to spend with Eden. Maybe that was greedy, but it was true.
