The 3rd official redraw of this Chiyokoko piece!

I already know that tonnes of people are going to prefer the September version, and they have every right to, of course. I coloured the September version in a different way; I placed the base colours on before I added the actual colour, whereas in the new April version I immediately began with the actual colour without the base (which was a mistake). I wanted it to give the same sort of vibe as the September version did but I realised too late that I did not colour it in the same way. I tried my best to fix my mistakes, and in the end it turned out alright! (I HOPE so at least lol) I know some people will say: "Ohh but the September version looks more dynamic and has a more interesting perspective!!" That is correct, but honestly I think that the piece looks a lot better at just a side-on perspective, like the OG. This is also the first time I drew this and DIDN'T trace over a base I made in a posing app. I actually was able to, for the first time, draw everything by myself and all of the proportions are stylised in my style — if that makes sense!!

In alot of ways, I do prefer the September version over my new version. But, the September version was rushed and i was using random, muddy colours. I took a lot more care in the new version and used softer colours that complimented eachother. I know some people like the more messy look, and tbh I like it too. Infact I love it! But this time I wanted to take a different approach towards this piece.

I really like the thick, dark lineart in the September version, but I was also inspired by the thin, light lineart in the January(2025) version. I liked the bold colours but I also liked the soft and airy look that I was aiming for in January last year.

I was inspired by both past pieces and in the end this is what I came up with. I hope you guys like it. : )

teruhashi and yumehara being positive influences on each other and giving one another the tools to grow by giving them the room to express and explore parts of themselves they had been pushing aside..... teruhashi accidentally letting her perfect pretty girl persona loosen a little to make room for her more genuine feelings, and yumehara just becoming a full person rather than just a girl who's always wrapped up in failing romance by befriending teruhashi and connecting with other girls...... they complete each other......

I don’t really like to ship Imu and Teruhashi.

Not only does it feel pretty one-sided to me, but Imu’s crush on Teruhashi feels very similar to how the boys crush on her, at least imo.

She pedestals Teruhashi the way that everyone else does, and the connection between the two of them isn’t quite as genuine as it could (and should, in this case) be because of that.

Plus it just makes the ship kind of boring since the dynamic between Imu and Teruhashi is so similar to what we’ve seen with Teruhashi and…so many boys. Though I will say Imu isn’t nearly as Bad/Weird/Flat Out Gross about Teruhashi as a lot of those boys are.

Uhh anyways Yumehara and Aiura should be Teruhashi’s gfs, be it simultaneously or not. <3

I need a yumeteru fic where is just teruhashi worshiping Yumehara. More specifically body worshiping.

Like, is just a bad day for Yumehara so she feels more self conscious about her body than usual and Teruhashi sees that, so she stands her in front of a mirror and starts listing all her good qualities (both physical and non-physical) and first kisses her head, then forehead, cheeks, neck, arms, hands, fingers, etc.

Yumehara probably starts crying at some point because of how much love she’s receiving and she’s feeling overwhelmed and trues to cover her face with her hands because “I look ugly when I cry” but Teruhashi only takes her hands and wipes her tears with her thumbs and kisses her eyelids and tells her “You could never be ugly. Not to me. You’re the prettiest person I know, love. If you could see what I see you wouldn’t feel like this, but because you can’t, I’m trying to show it to you with my actions, because words would never be enough to describe how beautiful and precious you are.”

It doesn’t even have no be in a sexual way, it’s just Teruhashi showing how much she loves everything about Yumehara <3
