For day 2 of Saiki k week: sick/injury! ^^
Summary: Before Shun could finish, they hear a crash. Everyone starts running towards the direction of the sound to find out what happened. Never be said that they aren't good citizens that help people in need.
Nendou starts running faster the closer they get, and before anyone can ask him what happened he shouts, “Partner!”
With that, everyone starts running faster. Shun hears Aren murmur “Shit”, but he couldn't focus on anyone elses reaction.
okay, I totally respect all of these various organizational systems readers have for their bookmarks because tidy archival systems my beloved <3
however. my one quibble with all of these external methods is they don't do anything for the natural development of the AO3 ecosystem because they don't allow other users to wander through someone else's bookmarks like they're perusing a buffet. nothing sadder than clicking on an incredible author's name and seeing their bookmarks count at zero :(
Yesterday I started brainstorming for the Saiki k week and I think I know what I'm going to write for each prompt but I'm not really sure about the swap au hnnnnnn
I have an idea but I don't want it to get too long 😭
This is why I don't like writing aus, I have to actually think about ALL of the aspects I'm changing and have to make them make sense

“I’m scared”
Aren and Kusuo were laying together on Kusuo’s bed. They have been dating for some months now and both of them had gotten better at talking about their feelings, but Kusuo had only ever admitted to being scared of something once before this moment.
Aren knew that this conversation was important, so he stopped looking at his phone and turned to look at Kusuo. While Kusuo still preferred to talk with telepathy, he was trying to talk with his mouth, especially if it was about something important to him.
“Of what?” Asked Aren. He moved closer to Kusuo and put his arm under him to press Kusuo against him. Kusuo buried his face against Aren’s neck and laid there for some seconds before speaking again.
“I don’t think I would survive losing you,” murmured Kusuo. Aren knew that Kusuo wasn’t only talking about him, he was talking about their friends too. Aren also knew that none of their friends would be leaving any time soon, figuratively or otherwise. He took some seconds to come up with an appropriate response.
“I’m not going anywhere”, Aren couldn’t speak and promise for everyone else, so he tried to at least reassure Kusuo with his presence. It wasn’t like he was lying, Aren couldn’t see himself leaving Kusuo, not now and not in the future. He entered this relationship knowing that he wanted to last forever, and hadn’t changed his mind.
Kusuo shifted a little bit and lifted his head to look at Aren in the eyes. Aren could tell that he was really struggling to get the words out, it was probably something that had been bothering for a while.
“What if it isn’t your choice?” Kusuo whispered. And oh. Aren wasn’t prepared to have this conversation, but he didn’t think he would ever be ready to have it, so it was good that Kusuo brought it up now.
Aren knew that Kusuo would blame himself if any of their friend group died by an accident, or by literally anything else that wasn’t a natural death. He would think that he could have prevented it, that he failed them, and it would be difficult to convince him otherwise.
He really wasn’t ready for this conversation, he wasn’t as reassuring as many of their other friends. He always tries his best, but he knows that his best is not always enough. He also knew that their friends could help, they would need to have this conversation again but with their friends present.
Aren knew that none of them would ever blame Kusuo for not being able to save them. Sure, he had lots of powers and was very powerful, but he was still human. Realistically he wouldn’t be able to always save them, and no one expected him to, except Kusuo himself.
He couldn’t make Kusuo stop having insecurities or stop him from feeling like everything was his responsibility, not by himself or with only one conversation. But he could at least alleviate him for now.
Kusuo would need to go to a psychologist at some point, it would be difficult to convince him and then find a trustworthy one that wouldn’t tell anyone that he's a psychic, but it was worth a try.
(And Aren would also attend to therapy, he knew that he would also benefit from it)
Aren could give many answers, he could try to convince Kusuo that he was enough, that it wouldn’t be his fault, that no one would blame him. But that wasn’t the answer that Kusuo was expecting. He also wasn’t expecting him to say that it wouldn’t happen, because the truth was that he didn’t know, he couldn’t promise that he would always be able to save everyone.
So Aren squeezed Kusuo’s shoulder and gave a hopefully satisfactory answer.
The fanon antics you posted drived me nuts! I think the post was great! Someone reblogged saying that Aiura was a slut. What is your opinion on that?
Well, the things that Nopsi said are true.
By definition Aiura is a “slut”. The problem is that people use it to bash and denigrate her (and that’s why they use the word “slut” instead of just saying that she likes sex 🫠).
Another problem I see is that people say that Aiura is a slut to make Teruhashi “better”, or to say that “Saiki wouldn’t date someone that sleeps around”.
But also, I used the wrong word lol. I meant to use the word “whore” not “slut. I’m an idiot (and English isn’t my first language) so I fucked it up and used the wrong one.
Conclusión: People shouldn’t use the word slut (a word, that even if by definition it’s accurate, it’s degrading) to describe a 16-17 year old, specially when it’s only to make your ship “better” and make it more valid 👍
