He could sense that his youngest brother was going to do something
He witnesses Copia eyeing up a sister of sin for weeks, and gently reminded his brother to be respectful but that didn’t work
The day after it happened you were none the wiser
But Primo saw as Copia kisses your cheek he was withdrawn and he immediately knew
Honestly was probably the one do tell (demand) Copia tell you
Primo is a very loyal soul, and it hurts him to see the people he cares about be hurt and he cares about you a lot
You were nice, sweet, spunky and it was unbelievable that Copia would do such a thing
Primo will no doubt comfort you over Copia, because his brother made a big mistake and he has to deal with the consequences
Terzo
Brother who cheated: Primo
Terzo knew from the moment a pretty young thing like you got with Primo is was gonna go down hill
Though Primo was a kind man, he had always had… urges
Unlike his other brothers Primo would do it anonymously
He was probably out, got high on some new tea or smoke product he accidently created and got freaky with a sibling of sin
You definitely walked in on them
Terzo found out through you, after you came straight to his door, sobbing about what had happened
Now Terzo is not good at comfort, but he will not let someone he cares so deeply about suffer alone, so he brings you into his suite, holds you as you cry, and then makes you tea, or gives you wine
Terzo is conflicted because he knew if Primo was in his right mind he would’ve broke it off if he wanted to see others without your consent
But he still hurt you, and Terzo knows that being inebriated is no excuse so he decided to kinda… split the comfort
All in all pretty good, but don’t expect him to fully choose you or his brother
Secondo
Brother who cheated: Terzo
Another one who knew it was gonna happen
But let’s be honest you probably saw the signs too
It happened a few days after your 2 year anniversary
You were walking back to your room that you practically shared with Terzo and caught him in bed with two ghouls and a sibling of sin
Needless to say you did not stick around to see what happened next
You went to Secondo not distraught but more numb
Secondo, who was a surprisingly good comforter, took you in, made you tea, wrapped you in a blanket and let you sit and talk for as long as you needed
I wouldn’t be surprised if you slept on his couch that night
Tightens Secondo and terzos already tense relationship
Secondo will not openly declare his hate for his brother, but it is clear he will do anything for you
Copia
Brother who cheated: Secondo
Ok so let’s start with saying that Copia, no matter how much shit he talks, is not confrontational
He’s sassy sure, but he’s not gonna like, walk up to someone and beat their ass
So when he realizes that Secondo cheated on you he’s kinda at a lost
He found out a while after it happened
He’s a little dense so it took him a bit to figure out that “oh something happened”
Finds out form Secondo actually, which to his defense actually seems kinda mad at himself
Copia immediately goes to see you, needing to know if you’re ok
Of course you’re fine, maybe a little heart broken but not gonna die. It had been a few weeks anyway so it was quite comical to see his flustered state
Will be there for whatever you need, whenever you need
Always willing to help
Once again will not fight anyone, but does get protective when you and Secondo are in the same room
V
Brother who cheated: For the hell of it let’s say Copia!
V knew that his arrival had caused a lot of trouble and hatred for Copia
He didn’t mean for it to be like that, and it wasn’t his fault, but Copia had always been a bit of a hot head, so it wasn’t understandable
Being new, V had only gotten to know you via your jobs crossing paths a lot, and you gave him advice and allowed him to vent, as you wanted to get to know your boyfriends brother
You had confessed your concerns to V about Copias new assistant a few times, claiming that he seems to be getting pretty close with her, but V only had your word to go on, as he was on tour
However, he was I surprised when he got a call from you one night after a show, telling him that Copia had cheated and that you had heard them
He comforts you as best he can through the phone, wishing he could actually be there for you, as this seemed a little in-genuine
V also feels a bit responsible for Copias behavior because he knows it was unlikely he would’ve done such a thing if he was not so angry and repressed
Between Breaths (An XXX Perspective) - Terzo x Reader
Summary: You're the Head Witch at the Ministry. Arguably at times you hold more power than the current Papa, Papa Emeritus III. You've always hated him and you assumed the feeling was mutual. But what happens when he calls you out on it?

Being the Head Witch of the Satanic Church definitely had its perks. For example, you could go in and out of the restricted section of the library as you pleased without having to provide any explanation as to why you needed a certain book, your living quarters rivaled that of the highest clergy members, and you were the one calling the shots with anything related to magic, be it a conjuring or a protection spell, a cord cutting. Sometimes your power within the Ministry rivaled that of Papa, the Anti-Pope, much to his chagrin, of course.
Brothers and Sisters of Sin alike flocked to you, not only for your expertise, but because you were drop dead gorgeous, charismatic, feisty, and because you had power. With your office being directly across from Papa’s, you would often catch him glaring at you from his desk as the door to your office might have been a revolving one with how many people were in and out of it. And especially during major holidays, did the Children of the Ministry come knocking at your door. It sometimes seemed like they had forgotten about their darling Papa Emeritus III. They only had eyes for you. That drove him crazy and thus, your rivalry was born.
Despite seeming to have it all, it grew tiring to be constantly surrounded by so many people. Having company at night was great and all, but the connections were vapid. You had no choice but to keep any and all suitors at arm’s length; it was safer that way, both for you and for them. Your work was demanding and that would always come first. There was an aching loneliness that gnawed at you, but you refused to acknowledge it. Relationships, true connection, only got in the way. You weren’t the youngest Head Witch the church had ever seen, barely even in your thirties, because you spent time curating intimate and genuine relationships in the hopes of one day starting a family. You had ambitions, goals, and nothing would get in the way of that.
This led to quite the paradox: you were surrounded by people, loved and excelled at your job, and even craved solitude, but the loneliness that clawed at your heart could be suffocating.
Tonight was one of those paradoxical nights where you wanted nothing more than to be alone, but you wished there was someone you could be alone with – no expectations, no ulterior motives, just the mere act of coexisting with someone who had chosen you and you had chosen them. Often, you would find yourself in the library on nights like this. People would be too engrossed in their own studies to pay you any mind. Or you would just stay in the restricted section, knowing very few people had access to it.
It was quiet enough that you found yourself just outside the off-limits occult books. You weren’t looking for anything in particular, perhaps you’d know when you found it.
Too lost in your own thoughts, you didn’t notice the last person you wanted to see walking towards you until it was too late to make a swift getaway. “Buona sera, cara mia (my dear),” greeted the illustrious Papa as he leaned his back against the bookshelf, an arrogant smirk on his face.
You set your book on the shelf in front of you as your head tilted back with an exasperated sigh escaping you. “What do you want, Terzo? I’m not in the mood for your bullshit tonight.”
He put a gloved hand to his chest and gasped dramatically. “I am offended.”
“Clearly not enough to leave me alone.”
“Ah, you see, that I cannot do, because I’m looking for something, a book actually, and I just so happened to see you, and perhaps you could find it in your cold, black heart to help me.”
It was your turn to gasp dramatically as you slowly turned to face him. “You can read?!”
Terzo rolled his eyes in annoyance. “Will you help me or not?” he asked curtly.
“Sure! The children’s section is downstairs, to the left, all the way to the back. You can’t miss it.”
“I didn’t rise to Papa with the reading level of a toddler,” he retorted with an edge to his voice.
“You’re right, my mistake. It must have been the nepotism.”
He let out a frustrated puff as he pushed himself away from the bookshelf and started to walk away. Your quiet chuckle was loud enough so that he turned on his heel and walked right back up to you. “I don’t understand why you hate me so much.”
“Because you’re a pompous figurehead with a constant need for attention who’s had nearly everything handed to him and the fact your dick sees more traffic than the 405 on a Friday night during rush hour.” You spoke with an air of nonchalance like you were just spouting off a common factoid as you turned to face him, crossing your arms. The bookshelves now against your back.
His eyes turned to slits. “Who am I to turn down those that hand themselves to me willingly? And don’t act like your body count isn’t as high as mine. If anything, I’d bet it’s higher judging from how many people I see – and hear – coming and going from your office,” he spat.
“Well, at least the lives of the people I fuck actually improve afterwards when the spells come to fruition. They aren’t just fucking me for clout and just to say they did only to find out you’ve already moved on to your next conquest.” Your upper lip started to curl upwards into a sneer, but you did your best to control it. The last thing you wanted to do was give him the satisfaction of getting a rise out of you.
“Oh, spare me the righteous act, dolcezza.”
“It’s not a ‘righteous act’ to make my intentions clear to my partners. Maybe you should try that out sometime. Sure would save me a lot of work.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” he asked, glaring at you as he took a step towards you.
“It means that your escapades upset enough people that they come to me to seek retribution. Against you. You have no idea how much thankless damage control I have to do for your pathetic ass.”
Clearly, that jab had the opposite effect you intended. A mischievous glint appeared in his eyes as he took another half step closer to you. “Are you implying you… protect me?” he asked slyly.
“Don’t fucking flatter yourself. I’m implying that I’m doing what I have to to keep Sister Imperator off my back.”
“But that is still protecting me from hexes and curses cast by the ones who let their feelings cloud the reality of the situation. And for the record, cara…” With another step forward he placed his hand on the shelf next to your shoulder, leaning in, his voice dropping to a sultry whisper. “I make my intentions very clear.” You refused to acknowledge the way that made your stomach flip and your heart rate picked up speed.
You tried to take a step away from him, but were only met with shelves digging into your back. The crease in your forehead deepened as you clenched your jaw. It wasn’t until you saw his eyes dart between your eyes and your lips did your arms uncross from your chest as you pushed him to the side. “You’re an insufferable rompicoglioni (pain in the ass), you know that?” After turning your back on him, you only managed to get a few steps away before his next question stopped you in your tracks.
“Don’t tell me you’ve never thought about it…”
You tilted your head to the ceiling, your eyes shut, as you let out a deep breath. “Thought about what?” you asked through your still gritted teeth. He stayed silent. You shook your head and turned around to face him again. “Thought. About. What?” you practically growled your repeated question.
He stood there, leaning against the bookshelves, with his bottom lip seductively in between his teeth as he raised his eyebrows at you. “Do I really need to answer that question?” he chuckled.
“I can’t fucking stand you,” you said as you turned to leave his stupid, smirking face behind you. Again, you didn’t get very far when you felt a gloved hand grab your wrist, his grip just tight enough to halt you and turn you to face him.
“Have you ever thought why that is, streghetta mia (my little witch)?” he cooed, bringing his other hand to gently caress your cheek.
“I am not your little—” you began defiantly until he interrupted you. His words suddenly became harsher, much more serious.
“Rispondimi (answer me),” he demanded, his grip tightening on your wrist. His hand on your cheek went from a feather light touch, to forcefully grabbing the side of your neck, aiding in the way he pulled you to him so that almost no space remained between you.
“I already told you why,” you said through your teeth. Your whole body tensed being this close to him. If it was a losing battle, you desperately tried to fight the lost cause of keeping your composure. His deliciously delicate Italian cologne didn’t affect you. The heat from his body didn’t affect you. How roughly he handled you definitely didn’t affect you.
“No. I don’t think you did, because I don’t think you can admit the truth.” The intensity of his stare burned into you (but it absolutely did not affect you). He pulled you into the crook of his neck. Biting the inside of your cheek was the only way you could ground yourself, focus on the task at hand — not letting him win. He was so close to you that you could feel his lips moving against your ear as he murmured, “Everything you hate about me… is what you hate about yourself, amore.”
You lost sight of him; all you could see was red. Twisting your wrist, you broke free from his grasp. Your hands flew up to his chest as you shoved him back. He stumbled slightly, bracing himself on the bookshelves. The amused half-smile on his face told you everything you needed to know: he was loving every second of this. “Seems I’ve struck a nerve, hm?”
“You fucking asshole! I am nothing like you.” The venom clinged to your words.
“You’re not? You don’t enjoy the company of others under the guise of tending to the flock when all you crave is real connection? You don’t flaunt your ‘power’ to make up for every inadequacy you feel about yourself?” He sauntered up to you, placing his hands on your shoulders as if the slightest movement would shatter you.
“You don’t know the first thing about me,” you mumbled through barely parted lips.
“How long are you going to keep telling yourself that, hm?” he purred, hooking his finger under your chin, which you pushed away. You tried to back away from him, but yet again, you were stopped by the bookshelf.
“If you’re so self aware, then why do you still act like a piece of shit?”
He leaned forward, putting a hand on either side of you, caging you in. “Because, streghetta, the only connection worth pursuing thinks I’m a pompous pain in the ass fucking asshole piece of shit figurehead with the reading ability of a four year old. Did I remember everything?” he smirked.
His mismatched eyes burned into yours. His white iris seemed to be almost glowing in the dim library light. The heat that was starting to burn in your center made you stay put. Your only movement came from your head quickly turning to the side as you heaved an insolent breath. Breaking eye contact was the only thing you could think of doing right now, but even that was short lived. He emphatically grabbed your face, silently ordering you to look at him, your cheeks smushing together between his thumb and index fingers. “I asked you a question. Stop being a brat and rispondimi,” he hissed.
“Kinda hard with my jaw in your hand,” you managed to mutter.
“I understood you just fine.” He pressed harder into your face. The longer you were silent, the more pressure he added.
“F-fine! Yes! That’s what I think of you, stronzo,” you spat.
“Brava ragazza. That wasn’t so difficult, was it?” he praised softly. The back of his fingers returned to graze your cheek.
You couldn’t help but press your lips into a thin line as you mulled over when he said “...the only connection worth pursuing…”
“Thinking about what I said?” His hand slid down your neck to your collarbone.
“No,” you replied immediately. Your eyes quickly flitted up to the ceiling at how easily you gave yourself away, which earned you a light, airy laugh. “Wait. Yeah. If this is the ‘only connection worth pursuing’ then what’s taken you so long? Did you have to test out all the others to make sure it was the right choice?”
“You’re too busy scowling at me to notice me noticing you.”
“No, not quite. Try again.”
“This is one of the very few times I’ve been able to catch you alone.”
“Oh, please. Your office is directly across from mine. And I have seen you on multiple occasions staring at me when your door is open,” you scoffed.
“And every time, before I can even think about getting up from my chair, you slam the door shut,” he countered, twirling a lock of your hair between his fingers.
Swatting his hand away, you said, “Still not the real answer.”
“Then what is?” He let his hand fall to your shoulder and slowly began to cascade down your arm.
“You don’t think you’re good enough for someone like me.” With a challenging tilt of your head and raise of your eyebrows, you watched as astounded annoyance clouded his eyes. “Yeah, two can play this game.” You straightened out the collar to his shirt and trailed your fingers down to adjust the top buttons with your eyes focused on your small task. They only looked back into his eyes when you mockingly added, “Caro.”
Finally, you struck a nerve. He took both your wrists and pinned them down beside you. “Before tonight’s over, I’ll show you I’m more than good enough for you.”
You tossed your head back as you laughed, craning your neck to watch his reaction. “That’s not what I meant and you know it. I’ve seen the way your conquests look when they leave your office. It doesn’t take a genius to know you’re a good fuck. It does, however, take a certain kind of person to notice how you never seem completely satisfied… like something’s missing…”
Pressing his body flush against yours, he leaned down and whispered, “Like I said earlier, amore, it’s the craving for real connection, which of course, you of all people would notice something like that.” You could feel the warmth of his breath dancing over a sensitive spot on your neck. “Because… you’re just… like… me…” he added breathlessly as he dragged his lips along your neck before he pulled himself away to stare into your eyes.
The desire pooling between your legs was inescapable. Your eyes darted from his to his lips before returning to the mismatched eyes that watched your every subtle movement. That was all the invitation he needed before he released your wrists to take your face in his hands as your lips crashed together. Just because you lost the battle didn’t mean you couldn’t win the war.
Your hand flew to the nape of his neck where you threaded your fingers in his hair. He moaned into your mouth when you started pulling. Your other hand balled the fabric of his shirt at his hip into your fist.
He broke the kiss only to leave a sloppy trail of kisses down our neck where he began to suck and nip at it. You let your head fall back and your grip in his hair tighten. He maneuvered himself so he was pressing his thigh between your legs and without a second thought, as a breathless moan escaped your lips, you began to rut against him. “I still… fucking hate you…” you panted.
Before he could make his clever retort, your heads turned towards the sound of the door opening. You could hear the light sound click-clacking of heels on the floor below. Terzo couldn’t even get his suggestion out before you pushed him off you, taking his hands in yours and leading him deeper into the library. He eyed you curiously, an impish grin pulling at the corners of his mouth.
When the sounds of the other patrons faded, you slammed back against a random stack and pulled him against you, assuming your previous formation. “Are you sure you want to do this here?” he asked in between open mouthed kisses on your neck.
“I wouldn’t have dragged you over here if I wasn’t.”
His gaze lingered over you as if to double check you were telling the truth. He nodded once. “Bene. Safe word?”
“Rigatoni.” He tilted his head at you, a quizzical look on his face. “What? Do you prefer ziti?”
“No, just an… interesting choice.”
“Non verbal is two taps and a pinch, but first,” you said as you held his wrist one hand and started taking off one of his gloves in the other, “the Mickey Mouse gloves are coming off.” His eyes narrowed into slits as he let you remove his gloves, placing them in his back pocket. You gave his ass a hard slap when you were done, leaning back on the stack behind you, with an exaggerated and triumphant smile on your face.
Taking your face in his now bare hand, he held it like he did just moments ago. He put his other hand beside your head, pressing his body into your and leaning forward, “I’m not going to hold back, streghetta.” He lowered his voice, making it sound husky and gravelly. He let go of you, roughly pushing your head to the side as he did so.
“Good. Don’t want you to,” you paused before you giggled, doing your best Mickey Mouse impersonation.
That earned you a smack across the face. It wouldn’t leave a mark, but you felt the sting go straight down to your core. You looked up at him with a daring smirk.
You could see the anger ice over his eyes. His features darkened. “Be careful what you wish for.”
You yanked him toward you, your fists grabbing his shirt as leverage as you purred in his ear, “Do your worst, papino.”
His hand wrapped around your bicep so tightly, you knew there would be a bruise there tomorrow. He dragged you through the aisles of books to the study area. He let go of you only for a moment to turn you away from him as he pushed you down onto the table in front of you. Biting your lip, you pressed your thighs together, needing some semblance of relief.
Mismatched eyes watching you like a hawk, of course he noticed. “Ah, ah, ah,” he tutted. You heard the faint clinking of a belt buckle and the slide of leather. Using his knee, he nudged your legs away from each other. “Brats like you don’t get anything until they’ve been properly punished.” You chewed on your lip as he folded his belt, allowing for him to have more control.
The brisk air hit the back of your legs as he lifted your maxi skirt up, exposing yourself to him. He put the belt in his mouth, freeing his hands, so he could yank your panties off you. Your ankle lifted off the ground, causing you to throw one of your hands to the edge of the table to save your balance. The belt went into his left hand, he placed it beside you as he leaned over you, pressing his still clothed erection into your bare ass. “Mmm, you say you hate me so much and yet here you are, already so fucking wet for me.” Not giving you any chance to make a smart ass comment, he shoved your underwear into your mouth.
Pushing off of you, he caressed your ass like he was mapping out where the belt would strike you. He went from the left corner down to the right, being mindful enough not to even graze your cunt, giving no reprieve whatsoever. Then he repeated the motion going from the right corner down to the left.
Thwack!
Without warning, the belt made contact with your skin. Tears instantly sprang in your eyes, having been taken by surprise. The force of the blow made you cry out, but the sound was muffled; it just sounded like a poor excuse of a whimper.
“Still think you can handle this, streghetta mia?”
“Mhmm,” you hummed as you nodded – your tone still defiant.
Thwack!
You were actually thankful for the makeshift gag in your mouth, which gave you something to bite down on as you took the pain.
“If I had known–” thwack! “ –That this is what it took–” thwack! “ –to get you to shut your goddamn smart ass mouth up–” thwack! “ –I would have done this so much sooner.” Thwack!
He leaned over you again, this time pressing a kiss to your shoulder before asking if you were okay. Blinking tears away, you nodded. You were more than okay. You couldn’t remember the last time you felt this alive.
“Hmm, I’m not sure I’m completely convinced…” he mused as he stood up. Just as you went to loosen the white knuckle grip you had on the table’s edge, you felt his thumb trail down from your taint, through your folds, and onto your clit, which he circled twice. You moaned loudly. “Mmm,” you could hear him sucking your arousal off his finger, “yes, you are doing quite alright.”
You practically squealed when suddenly one of his fingers slid right inside you. He wasted no time finding the spot that could make you scream. You whined when he removed himself from you, but it was only to flip you over onto your back. Without thinking, your leg hooked around his waist, anchoring him to you. He looked down at you, smirking, before he plunged his middle and ring fingers inside of you. Your eyes rolled back with your head that rested on the table. Your back arched.
And then he began the assault of pressure; his fingers curled up, furiously tapping on your sweet spot. You swear you had never been this wet for anyone before. The noises coming from your cunt only made you clench harder around his fingers. His movements were so hard and so fast, you were almost being lifted off of the table. You were so close, so close. Despite the makeshift gag, you were screaming. Just as the coil in your core was about to snap, he was gone. Your eyes snapped open, wide with rage. Instantly you sat up. If looks could kill, he would have been dead at your feet.
“Stand up. Get on your knees.” For the first time tonight, you followed his instruction, but that was where your obedience ended.
“Figlio di puttana del cazzo (you fucking son of a bitch!)!” you snarled, looking up at him, after throwing the gag to the side.
Shaking his head, he gathered your hair into a ponytail, tugging your head back. You earned your second slap of the night. He undid and took off his pants, tossing them haphazardly to the side. You watched as his leaking cock sprung out. At the sight of it, your mouth immediately began to water. “If you can stop being a fucking brat and actually put your mouth to good use, then maybe you’ll get a reward,” he seethed. He shoved two of his fingers into the corners of your mouth. “Open.”
There was no getting used to him. In what felt like mere milliseconds, his length was down your throat. The only thing you could think of, for just a fraction of relief, was to open your jaw as wide as you possibly could, but even that wasn’t enough. He held your hair like he was holding on for dear life, deep growls rumbled from his chest. With every thrust you could feel whatever leftover animosity he had towards you pouring into you.
A near constant stream of tears cascaded down your face. You could barely see his smirk as you gagged around him. Abruptly, he stopped, pulling himself away from your mouth. Your chest heaved as you tried to catch your breath. “Get up,” he commanded as he pulled you up by your hair. He only let go when you were standing. “Back on the table. On your back.” You relished the break, taking your time to do as you were told. He stayed looking down at you, a lust-crazed look on his face. Expectantly, you looked back up at him, waiting for whatever he had planned next. Grabbing you by the shoulders, he slid you to him so your head was hanging off the table. “Apri (open),” he breathed.
Your eyes fluttered shut as you braced yourself for the second onslaught that never came. He slowly slid himself into your mouth, down your throat. You let the spit you saved from before getting on the table bubble up around him. This angle was a bit easier for you to take him. He used your ribs as leverage to thrust in and out of your mouth. A moan floated from his lips as his eyes closed, letting himself get lost in his own pleasure. You placed your hands on the back of his thighs. His lips curled over his teeth as he moaned again when you dug your nails into him. “Satanas, sei bella (you’re beautiful),” he murmured. Dragging his hands up, he wrapped them around your neck as he kept thrusting down into your mouth.
“Cazzo,” he groaned as he could feel himself in your throat. By this point, you said to hell with your gag reflex. It was easy to ignore while he incessantly fucked your face. He was slightly less aggressive with your neck bent over the edge of the table, his pace slower. As if savoring every inch of the feel of you, he pushed himself into you until your lips curled around his base. You couldn’t help, but moan. “Lucifer, fucking hell,” he growled. He repeated this a few more times before he backed away from you again, his breathing growing labored. You never took your eyes away from his as you spun around and got off the table.
Kneeling in front of him again, you looked up at him with your tear-stained face and doe eyes sparkling. You started stroking his length before you took him in your mouth, tongue swirling around his swollen tip. Then you licked down his shaft until you took his balls in your mouth, gently sucking on them. He groaned as his head fell back. After you licked back up his length, teasingly slow, and took him back in your mouth did you begin bobbing your head up and down. When you moaned again, his hands tangled in your hair again. This time it wasn’t to cause you pain, but to find purchase and ground himself. “Fuck,” he hissed. He was close. You could see it. You could feel it. So you took his hips in your hands, digging your nails into his flesh. Looking up at him, you subtly nodded to him. His fingers curled and pulled at your hair. He sloppily thrusted into your face again and soon you felt his hot seed spilling down the back of your throat as he cried out.
He slumped forward somewhat as his high waned. You stood up, making sure to catch his dichromatic gaze as you did. You wiped the corner of your mouth and swallowed every drop he had given you. He cupped your face in his hands and kissed you feverishly. As you gripped his wrists, he pulled you to him, pushing you back toward the stacks of books behind you until they met your back. You eyed him hungrily as your hands reached for his shirt, your nimble fingers sliding down as you unbuttoned it. Not even bothering to shove it all the way off him, you let your hands explore his chest. The only thing you heard was each other's heaving panting. He was on your lips again the second you made eye contact with each other, his tongue diving down your throat, doing an exploration of its own.
You moaned as you hooked your leg up on his hip, pulling him even closer to you. Resting his forehead on yours, he held your face in his hands, thumbs caressing your cheeks. “Time for a reward, sì? La mia brava ragazza (my good girl),” he cooed softly as he sank down on his knees.
Your breath got caught in your throat as he lifted up your skirt to dive under it. “Oh fuck,” you breathed as he dragged his nails up your thighs. Throwing your leg over his shoulder, he dove right in, his tongue lapping up your wetness seeping from your slit. You moaned again as his nose nudged your clit and his tongue dipped inside you. Your right hand grabbed at his hair under your skirt while your left was sliding up and around on the shelves behind you as you tried to find the best angle to help keep yourself propped up.
Taking his tongue out of you, he dragged it up to your bundle of nerves that were desperate for attention and started to suck on it as his tongue swirled around it. “Shit, s-shit!” you cried out. “Right… th-there. F-fuck. Fuck, Terzo. Don’t you fucking dare stop.”
His ministrations stopped, but only to shove two of fingers inside you. You mewled loudly; it didn’t matter if anyone was nearby or not. They could enjoy the free show at this point. Just as he had before, he was hitting your g-spot as if this was the thousandth time. You were seeing stars, but what you wanted to see… was him. “W-wait, wait, stop!” you panted. You were so close, you couldn’t finish just yet. You tapped him twice and he stopped before you could pinch him. He rushed out from your skirt, a confused look on his face that glistened from your arousal.
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” you said as you discarded your skirt. “I want to watch. I want to watch you make me cum,” you said lustfully as you perched your leg back onto his shoulder. Your hand threaded into his hair, holding on tightly as he resumed where he had left off. This time, his pace returned to that of the first time he had you like this. You bucked into his face, adding even more friction. “Holy fuck, yes. Terzo, please, don’t stop. P-please. Fuck! There! Yes! I’m cumming! I’m–”
Removing his fingers from you, he aggressively rubbed your clit. You opened your eyes just in time to see him get showered with your juices as they streamed out of you. And that man lapped it up like it was his first drink of water after a hike in the desert. You sunk back into the stack behind you as he looked up at you through wet lashes. He looked like he got caught in the beginning of a downpour – and it was probably the hottest thing you’d ever seen. Maybe you should fuck the people you hate more often if this was the result, because… this was still hatred you felt burning inside you. It had to be…
Afraid your shaky legs would give out on you if you tried to move, you stayed frozen in place. At some point your hand attached to Terzo was helping keep you upright on the shelving behind you. He stood up in front of you, his arms wrapped around your waist, pulling you close to him. When you were secure in his hold, his finger hooked under your chin, directing your hazy eyes to him. “Can you give me one more, amore?” he softly asked you. Eagerly, you nodded. He tilted his head, giving you a warning look. “Is la streghetta at a loss for words?”
“Yes,” you said, still nodding. “One more.”
“Va bene (okay), hard or easy?”
Your eyes darkened as more lust flared up in them again. “Don’t take it easy on me.” His lips curved up into a half smile that turned into a menacing smirk.
A sharp gasp fell from your lips as he spun you around so you were facing the books in front of you. One hand reached in front of you, circling the sensitive bud between your legs. Your head fell back onto his shoulder, while his other hand encapsulated your throat. “Do you still hate me?” he questioned through his teeth as his hips bucked up into you, using your ass to provide himself with the friction he needed.
“Yes,” you moaned wantonly.
You felt his breathy laugh on your ear as his grip tightened around your neck. The blood supply being cut off shot pangs of heat right down to your center just as he removed his hand from there. The whine you were about to make died in your throat as you felt him dragging his cock through your still sopping folds. With a squeeze to your throat, and a bite to your shoulder, he pushed himself inside you. You wanted to be so irritated at how perfectly he filled you up, how your walls stretched to accommodate him, but you couldn’t, at least not right now. Not when it felt so good. Most of all, there was no hiding it from him. Not when the pornographic sounds were spilling out of you. The war was lost way before it even began.
At first, his thrusts were slow. It was like he was committing how you felt around him to memory. You mewled when he hit that perfect sweet spot. And then came the attack.
With steady rhythm, he mercilessly pounded into you. Sounds of skin slapping skin, your unrelenting moans, the heaviness of both your breathing, filled the room. There was nothing else going on in the world, not in that moment. In that moment, there was just you. And there was just him. Coupled with the feeling of ecstasy. All you could do was claw at the shelves in front of you.
You felt the coil tightening again. With your head still back on his shoulder, you could feel your legs growing weak. His arm enclosed around you. His forearm pressing against your lower abdomen introduced a new sensation of pleasure that turned your vision white. Or maybe that just from the way his hand was still constricting around your throat. Probably both, but whatever the cause was, you didn’t care.
“A-aga– I– I’m–” was all you managed to say as you felt even more of your juices gush from between your legs. He bit down onto your shoulder again as he moaned wantonly with it. You could feel he was about to pull out of you, probably to release his spend on your face, but you managed to wrap your arm around his back, letting him know to stay in place.
With his erratic thrusts your arm fell. The overstimulation made it so the only words you could get out were “Inside. Cum inside.” As if on command, you could feel him emptying himself into you, filling you with his seed. After his hips stopped, you both stayed as you were. The hand on your throat slid down and across your waist as he held you there. He supported you as you put your weight back on him and your hands covered his.
Time stood still as you both caught your breath. Once your breathing returned to semi-normal, did he finally pull out of you. You sighed at the feeling of emptiness.
Hesitantly, you stepped forward. You felt shaky (in the best possible way), but you weren’t going to fall over. “Hold on, amore.” You heard him whisper as you folded your arms on the shelf in front of you and rested your head on them. You hummed in response, staying where you were. You closed your eyes, basking in the blissful peace that was settling over you.
Behind you, you could hear the rustling of his clothes and his footsteps as he walked back over to you. In your near boneless state, you didn’t even register the absolute mess that was dripping from you until you felt soft fabric between your legs. You looked down to see Terzo cleaning you up with one of his gloves.
“See? These Mickey Mouse gloves are good for something,” he teased.
You let out a genuine laugh. “Grazie,” you said tenderly.
“That’s as good as we can get for now,” he said once he finished, punctuating his sentence with a couple light pats on your ass.
Playfully, you rolled your eyes and shook your head as you turned to go put your skirt back on. He followed suit. As you were smoothing out your outfit, he was doing the last few buttons on his shirt. You surveyed the scene around you. “I kinda feel bad for the Ghoul that has to clean this up,” you giggled.
Terzo just smirked at you as he put his arm around your shoulders, guiding you both out of the library at a very leisurely pace. Wrapping your arm around his waist you said, “For the record, I still hate you.”
He rolled his eyes at you. “Has anyone ever told you that you are very stubborn, principessa (princess)?”
“Nope, never,” you said with an exaggerated smile.
His light laughter was cut short when you both noticed someone grumbling with their head down as they headed towards you. "Buonasera, fratello. Little late for a library visit, no?”
Secondo looked up at the sound of his brother’s voice. You could see his eyes scanning over the two of you, taking in the disheveled sight. The annoyed look permanently etched on his face deepened. “I could say the same to the both of you.”
“I was minding my own business before this stronzo bothered me,” you said.
“Bothered is a funny way to put it, principessa,” Terzo grinned.
“Why are you here this late, Secondo?” you quickly asked in hopes of preventing Terzo from saying an offhand comment. The way one of Secondo’s eyebrows raised in suspicion wasn’t lost on you.
“An uncrossing spell. One of the Ghouls fucked up. Again,” he glowered. “And it’s falling to me to fix, since someone was unreachable.”
You tugged at Terzo to start walking again, too tired to deal with Secondo’s disgruntledness. “Of course, they did. Well, just, um, don’t go too far past the restricted section.” You and Terzo exchanged a look before picking up your pace. “Buonasera!” you added without looking behind you.
Secondo saw both yours and Terzo’s shoulders shaking with laughter. He just shocked his head as he continued getting the book he needed. “About fucking time…” he grumbled.
Summary: due to Terzo’s recent change in behavior, you assume the worst, but your assumption couldn’t be further from the truth

—————————————
The past few weeks you have been noticing things being off. More specifically, things have been seeming off about your partner Terzo.
It all began when one night Terzo was 2 hours late arriving back to your shared quarters after his daily duties as Papa. He apologized, and you didn't think much of it, but it started to happen more and more frequently that he would be late.
You first brushed it off as Sister Imperator keeping him busy with extra work, as you knew that woman was a bit of a hardass when it came to Clergy business. However, this pattern continued for several weeks.
As the days passed, you grew more and more suspicious of what was actually going on.
You would question "Terzo, you keep coming home late. What is keeping you late almost daily??"
And he would respond "Mi dispiace amore, Imperator has been preparing me for the upcoming tour"
you nodded, and hoped he was telling the truth. After all, he was right. Him and the ghouls were going to be heading off on tour in a few months which did require extensive preparations.
It would be one thing if this was the only thing that was different with him, but this was not the case.
He started becoming more secretive. When you suddenly would enter into rooms he was in alone, you would notice him scramble a bit to hide whatever he was doing on his phone. Now this was incredibly suspicious.
You would shoot him a puzzled look and he would just shrug as if he had no idea what you were on about. It was driving you almost insane that he was acting like there was nothing different, even though there clearly was.
Things got to such an extent that the two of you stopped spending as much time together as usual. Terzo always seemed a little anxious around you, and that paired with the fact he was always "working" late didn't help.
After the second week passed with these things going on, you noticed fellow Siblings of Sin acting a bit weird around you too.
Whenever you would walk past a group of them, or into a room, it seemed that all eyes were on you. They would smirk and whisper to each other. You couldn't hear anything that they were saying, but your brain always assumed the worst.
How could you not assume the worst? How could stares, smirks, and whispers ever mean something good??
It seemed like almost the entire congregation knew something you didn't, and it drove you insane.
Was it something to do with Terzo? You prayed to Satan that it had nothing to do with him.
You and Terzo had been together for quite some time, over two years to be exact.
He had taken a liking to you ever since you had set foot into the Ministry. He had been there on your initiation day, he was there for your first black mass, and he had made efforts to take any chance he could to speak with you at various Clergy events.
His feelings all became clear the day he pulled you aside, took your hands in his, and asked you out on a date. That was two months after you joined the Ministry.
You were like two peas in a pod, completing each other. His extrovertedness balanced out your introvertedness, and the other way around.
The two of you could make hours of conversation, you both had so many things in common. You were both musical, both singers, and he taught you what he knew on guitar and piano.
He would place his hands over yours and teach you simple but beautiful songs on the piano. He would even pitch to you his song lyrics for Ghost, and ask for your opinions and criticisms.
You were with him throughout the recording and release of the "Popestar" EP, and you even had a part in writing the lyrics for their hit song, "Square Hammer".
You loved him dearly, and he loved you even more. He would tell you this multiple times each day. He would wake you up every morning with a kiss and asking you how you slept.
Before he left every day he would say "ti amo" and kiss you as deeply as he could before having to leave you each day. His kisses showed the desperation and sadness that he felt having to leave you every day, it was obvious he cherished you deeply.
Terzo was also amazing at planning dates. He would surprise you with your favorite bouquet of flowers, and take you to do various fun activities of all categories.
Some dates would be more casual and playful, such as the amusement park or bowling alley. Or they would be more formal such as a fine dining restaurant or wine tasting event. Both of these types you loved equally.
Your relationship was perfect, no fighting, and whenever the two of you had disagreements they would always be resolved peacefully. There was no lying nor yelling. You respected and loved each other.
All of this is why Terzo's current antics made you incredibly anxious and also upset. You feared the absolute worst, you feared he was losing interest in you, or even worse, cheating on you.
Before the two of you had become an item, you knew he had a promiscuous reputation. He was constantly sleeping around with Siblings of Sin. You were told the love he had for you was incredibly rare, and he hardly ever saw anything special in the people he took to bed.
It made you incredibly elated when you realized that you were the exception, that he saw something special in you. You had crushed on him ever since you arrived, but had absolutely zero hope he felt the same. He did however feel the same, but now you were wondering if that was ever true at all.
You would have consistent nervous breakdowns. Crying in the bed you shared while he was out "working" became a common occurance. It drove you insane with the thought he could be being unfaithful. You would sob and sob and hope that his change in behavior was all just some weird dream. You hoped you would wake up and everything would be back to normal.
You were confused on what to do. You didn't know if you should talk with him about it or not. You were worried that if you did, he would leave you.
You know you shouldn't be with a cheater, but you couldn't bare to lose him either. You'd rather stay with him being unfaithful than completely be without him.
After all, it would still hurt to walk the Ministry halls and probably see him with whatever new Sibling of Sin he chose to be his partner. It would crush your soul to a billion pieces.
After another week of consistent meltdowns, and contemplating, you decided to make the hard decision and just ask him about it. Maybe it could all be a misunderstanding? But you knew that was the best case scenario. What other explanation could there be for all of this weird behavior from both Terzo and your mutual friends?
You were sitting in the big bed in your shared quarters, awaiting his arrival at the end of the day. Your eyes were red from crying, but this time you made no effort to hide your tears. You wanted him to ask you what was wrong. You wanted him to see the pain he had caused you.
At 9:00 pm, two hours after he was scheduled to be finished with his Papal duties, you heard the key turn in the door.
Terzo opened the door with a smile on his face "Amore! I am back!!"
You said nothing, and just looked up at him with tears streaming down your face. His face fell when he saw your facial expression, and he immediately rushed over to the bed where you were sitting.
"Amorina... what is the matter? Is everything okay??"
You shook your head
"Okay... do you want to talk about it?"
Your lips started to tremble and more tears streamed down your face.
Terzo took your hands in his "It's okay, I am here now. I can do my best to help you cara mia..."
You took a deep breath before speaking "T-Terzo... what is up with you lately??"
He looked at you panicked but confused "What do you mean?"
"What do I mean?? Do you not notice how weird you have been acting??"
"No... can you go into more detail?"
It angered you how he was essentially playing dumb. "Oh you know, how you have been late almost every day for the past three weeks"
Terzo opened his mouth to speak but you cut him off. "Or how you hide your phone from me constantly, or how Siblings of Sin smirk at me and whisper whenever I'm around them" you spat out.
"Amore..."
"What is the meaning of all of this?? What could this possibly mean??" You yelled while tears streamed down your face
"Amore I-"
"Am I not enough for you? I love you so much Terzo... what is happening??"
"Cara just listen please..."
You took a deep breath trying to calm yourself before you got too angry. "Okay.."
"There is a good reason for all of this.. you will find out soon but I cannot tell you right now"
You shot him a perplexed look "what do you mean you can't tell me right now??"
"I'm sorry amore but I just can't, you need to trust me on this"
More tears began to prick at your eyes "what possible explaination could there be?? Why can't you just tell me now??" You shout at him while standing up
He follows your actions and also stands "Cara mia.. it's nothing bad please.."
"How the fuck should I believe that Terzo?" You shouted at him while turning to look at him
Your face was emotionless and cold, with a mix of exhaustion. You had been dealing this for too long, and you still couldn't get an explanation.
"I cry in here almost every day about this and you still won't tell me??"
Terzo's heart broke hearing those words. "Cara.. you cry every day? Why didn't you say anything until now??”
"Because I don't want you to leave me!!"
"Amorina... now why would I do that?"
"There is someone else isn't there??"
Terzo stared at your with total confusion and heartbreak. "What do you mean?"
"What do I mean?? Terzo, you have been acting incredibly suspicious. All the signs point to you being unfaithful..."
"But I would never! I promise you, that is so far from the truth"
You sigh angrily "okay so, if that is not the truth, then what is?? What is the possible explanation??"
Terzo sighs and tries to take your hands in his again, but you pull away from him. "Cara mia wh-"
"Tell me right now Terzo. What the fuck have you been up to?" You say coldly
Terzo realizes he can't hide it from you anymore, he has to tell you. No matter how much he wants to keep it secret, you need to know. It was clearly killing you to not know the truth.
He sighs deeply before speaking "Amorina... the reason I have been acting like this is because I have been planning to propose to you.."
Your face changes from anger to shock in a split second "W-What?"
"Yes, that is the reason."
"B-but, how does it make sense?"
Terzo chuckles "Well.. I have been so late because I have been spending my time after work planning the proposal"
"Oh..."
"And the reason I have been secretive with my phone is because I have been searching for engagement rings"
"But what about the Siblings? Why are they whispering?"
"It is because most of them already know my plans, they all figured it out by now"
Now you can't help but feel extremely guilty. He had been planning a proposal, but your immediate assumption was that he was cheating.
Tears prick at your eyes once again, and you start sobbing heavily.
"Amore, are you okay? What is the matter now??" He says as he rushes to hug you
"I'm sorry Terzo, I'm so so sorry" you choke out through sobs
"No no amore, it is me who should be sorry, I am horrible at hiding these things"
"I can't believe I just assumed that, but you were planning to propose this whole time..."
"It's okay, it's okay. I was acting quite suspicious" he says with a light chuckle "I'm quite bad at hiding things"
You sniffle and look up at him "I love you Terzo"
He smiles warmly and looks into your eyes "I love you too amore, so so much"
He kisses you deeply and you melt into his touch. Your heart slowly starts to return to a normal beat as the relief washes over your body. He isn't cheating on you, he just wanted to propose. Wait... he wants to propose??
The realization hits you and you immediately pull back from him. "W-wait, you want to... propose?"
Terzo smiles warmly "Yes, that is what I am planning"
"Oh my gosh Terzo... you want me to marry you??"
"Why yes of course, who else would I marry?"
A huge smile crosses your face and you squeal in excitement while embracing him in a big hug. You squeeze him tightly and he laughs at your sudden burst of excitement.
"Of course I would marry you Terzo!! Oh my gosh!!"
"Well I'm glad you say yes, I guess the surprise proposal won't be super necessary now huh?"
You kiss him lightly and chuckle "you can still do it, I'm a sucker for a fancy proposal"
He sighs with some relief "good, good. I'm a sucker for those too"
To say the least, you are incredibly relieved and also elated at the thought of marrying Terzo. Your suspicions were the absolute opposite from the truth, and it made so much more sense.
So like I personally believe Copia was horrified that his brothers died and he didn't want any part of it, nor was he approached about it, but like I've been considering the interpretation of the magazine photo where Copia himself beheaded Terzo.
(For context, Imperator is a full antagonist in our timeline because we love a spiteful bitch)
Copia has to do it and he's looking at his big brother, his closest friend, kneeling there before him and he feels the blade in his hands and he keeps making eye contact with Terzo and he can't.
If he does, he wakes up every single night in a cold sweat, if not just fucking screaming. Once during a ritual, years down the line, he can feel the warm blood soaking his sleeves and he almost passes out on stage. The ghouls recognize that distant look, the way his voice starts shaking and he glances toward his water and quintessence ghouls in a silent plea through cloudy eyes. It was in the middle of Mummy Dust this time. He could smell Terzo's blood again.
If he doesn't, he is intensely scolded by Imperator and she kills Terzo herself. She never lets C live it down, and he still has to live with the visual and the nightmares.
He can't ever get over Terzo quietly muttering that it isnt your fault, Copia, I dont blame you, you're not a bad person, we love you, Cardinal, I'm so sorry, as if he werent the one on death's doorstep.
Rain has found Copia sobbing at 2 am before because he dreamt of Terzo comforting him again.
They announced that he was going to get married. But she wasn't his Prime Mover. Her heart broke in a million pieces. There was more to the story that just a simple betrayal.

A.N : Well, I wrote this while being in a dark place for a couple of days. I'm planning on making this a Three piece story, and yes I will give it a happy ending because I'm not that cruel. I made my self cry while writing this. A special thanks to @hauntedboobees who has been supporting me all week with her wonderful coments 💕 I love this community so much 😭 💕
She woke up feeling like something bad was going to happen, the whole week had been an emotional torture for her, first the fight between her and Terzo at the begging of the week, then the cold shoulder and useless attempts of talking and lastly the fact that he hadn't called her to his room in all week. They were not lovers...but everyone in the ghoul den said that they were, this "friends with benefits'' arrangement had been going for a whole year, and since maybe five or six months the ghouls decided to call them Mr and Ms devile ( Yes as in Cruella devile ) after they matched a black and white outfit for a party once. They always joked about how much of a couple they were and how Terzo seemed to be "tamed" by her. She played off like a joke each time, she was good at lying to herself. She knew that she had a lot of feelings for him, and before the fight she could swear that he felt something for her more than lust. Her heart weighs a ton inside of her right now, she knew that it was stupid to catch feelings...but no one saw how he behaved with her , how much he seemed to care about her, how sweet and loving he could be when they were alone resting in his bedroom....She wanted to believe that her feelings were not one sided.
As she dressed she found a necklace that he gave to her for her birthday, a golden inverted cross with an amethyst in the middle, the purple and gold combination that was completely him, a piece of him to make her company when he was away. She put on the necklace and left the room before her roommates. Omega sent her a message about meeting to talk before the morning mass in the chapel so she went a bit early.
As soon as she arrived, omega approached her, he had a worried expression concerned about something.
— Y/N ...We need to talk... I want you to understand that no matter what happens today you will always be a part of the ghoul den, you can come and go around as much as you want to...And that we are going to be by your side if you need us...—His voice tone seemed a bit agitated, and he was talking like there's something horrible going on.
— What's going on Omega...you are scaring me...—She tried to brush off the feeling in omega with a sweet smile. — Oh come on if you say it because of the fight between me and ter..I mean, Papa. It's fine at some point we are going to talk about it, we always do...And I'm not mad at him he had been acting weird that's all...
— Please...promise me that whatever happens today you will come to us if you need support...we are your friends too ...—He couldn't brush off the feeling so easily, she was so clueless...
— Support in what? Come on Omega spill it, you are acting weird too...I swear if it is just because the fight that we had is getting a bit too much....
— ...y/n...Today at the mass they are going to announce...
—OMEGA! —Terzo's voice echoed in the chapel. The ghoul turned around to face him, his expression was a mix between sadness and anger towards the man he calls not only boss but also friend. — You should not be alone here with the sister, morning mass is about to start and you need to prepare the equipment...
— Oh come on...What's going on between you two? ...And you are going to ignore me today too? ....it wasn't that big of a fight...come on...—She went to touch his hand but as soon as she touched him, he grabbed her hand and moved it away from him, without any word.
— Sister, you should be preparing yourself for....—His eyes darted to the necklace in her chest, his heart ached so hard that he needed a moment to keep talking.— If you have time for being so early here, you should be helping your sisters arrange the seats and cleaning before the mass don't you think?...—He looked at Omega — and you, follow me...
— Terzo this is...—The ghoul protested , but a fierce look of his boss shut him.— I'm so sorry y/n....—He left with the head of the church , she felt her heart stinging. What's going on? He was so mad at her that he was going to break their friendship over a stupid fight?...
She went to help as he told her, the hour went by and mass was ready to start, but this mass seemed weird...Everyone was there, Cardinal Copia ( who she believed was the most charming shy man she had ever met.) Papá Nihil, Papá Primo, Papá secondo, the upper clergy and Sister Imperator, there was another sister in the front with the rest, seated next to Terzo. She had seen her a couple of times during the last three months, she was from a congregation in Italy, maybe she was close to the Emeritus family or something and that's why she was seated there. A family friend.
After the beginning of the mass and the morning sermon from Primo, sister imperator went in front and spoke to the congregation.
— Sisters and Brothers in sin...You know how hard the work of our dark lord is, you know that in this path of sacrifice and hard work we need to help our community to grow, the Emeritus line also needs to grow along the community...So, I want to give everyone of you the great news, Our beloved papa Emeritus the Third had finally found his Prime Mover...Sister Verona, from our congregation in Italy...
She felt the air in her lungs escape without a sound, her stomach dropped and her heart felt crushed by a ton of stones. His prime mover...his future wife, mother of his children....the engines in her heart began to work, it was this the reason behind his behavior last week, she knew that they did not shared an exclusivity contract or something like that...but she also knew that he had not engaged in anything with other sisters since they make that agreement of friends with benefits, she couldn't call him unfaithful but she could scold him for not telling her? He was going to make it seem like she doesn't exist just for his future wife? Even their friendship?
The roar of applause and screams of joy brought her back to reality. She looked right at him, he couldn't even look at her. He went to the microphone and thanked everyone in the chapel for their congratulations. He gave a speech about how love was important among the brothers and sisters, the bond they shared together and how they met.
— And since three months ago I knew that she was the one for me...
And that was the final straw...she felt how her heart fell in pieces inside of her, her chest ached, her mind was running wild with memories about them in the last three months, the kisses, the softness, they late night conversations, the movie nights at the den...her hopes of him feeling the same as her. Some sisters looked right in her direction, they shared the same sad look on their faces towards her. They were her roommates, the friends that knew about her deal with him and knew how much he meant to her. Omega also looked at her along with the other ghouls, even Primo and Secondo seemed shocked by the news and looked at her for a moment. Everything that she could hear was white noise, her surroundings became blurry as the tears stung her eyes without falling, she was not going to cry...not in front of him, even if he didn't even look in her direction. Her body felt stiff, she was shaking a bit, the sister who was seated next to her asked softly if she felt alright or if she was a bit sick. She took the opportunity...she said that she felt a bit sick and stranded up slowly, terzo looked right at her at that moment, their eyes locking for a moment. Her heartbroken expression, her eyes filled with tears. He looked away and looked at his Prime mover, in a quick movement he kissed her, right in front of everybody. She looked away as soon as their lips touched, she couldn't handle it anymore...she left the chapel quickly, without wanting anyone to look at her.
As soon as she was outside the chapel the tears began to fall, she wanted to scream. To yell to Lucifer if her fate was fair, didn't she give enough?... didn't she deserved to be happy along the one she loved?...She felt betrayed...all was a lie, all of the sweet words, all of the late night kisses and cuddles, all of the nights in them both confessed their deepest fears, when he calmed down after a meltdown , when she gave him strength after a huge fight between him and his dad...She felt stupid. A stupid girl with stupid feelings...how could she have been so dumb? How did she think that he could really fall in love with her?...She was nothing special, even since the first time he flirted with her she had her doubts. But after so many nights in his arms, letting herself go into lust and pleasure guided by him...alongside him she started to believe that she was indeed desirable and beautiful. He looked at her with such adoration sometimes that she felt like the eighth wonder of the world. But that also felt like a dirty lie right now....She was so stupid, so incredibly dumb.
Inside of the chapel Omega moved his feet impatiently, he saw her left, he knew that she most probably was in incredible pain right now. He needed to go and see her, she was his friend, the rest of the ghouls were asking themselves what happened, how did this happen? Who was she? Why did Terzo lie all this time then? Why when they both seemed so good together? And the poor sister...her face when they kissed it was the most heartbreaking thing to watch. They were all mad at him at the moment, how could he? Omega looked right at Terzo, he catched a glimpse of sadness in his eyes as he looked to the door....
She walked without a specific direction...she saw the big entrance door and thought for a minute in fleeing away...but where? She had no one...she only had the church, she couldn't leave. She kept walking, her crying made echo in the empty halls of the church, she felt crumbling slowly, her cries were getting more and more emotional, less controlled, she looked at the hallway that went to the ghoul den..and she walked straight to the door and entered, she knew that no one was going to be there. No one entered without the ghouls permission, but she was so used to going there that she didn't mind being found inside, she went to the living room of the den and let herself rest on the big sofa. She cried for what seemed hours until she fell asleep from pure exhaustion.
Inside the chapel, as soon as the mass ended the ghouls went looking for her in every room of the abbey, her room, the garden, the second chapel, the practice room, even terzo's room...but she was nowhere to be found, they became progressively more worried as the clock went by. Omega went to Terzo's office and entered just to find him there, looking at the window with no expression at all.
— I hope you are happy...—He spit in anger— You broke her Terzo...She loved you! Did you even look at her!?
— ....What did you wanted me to do?...It's the way that things are...I never expected her to put such a show in front of everyone, I never expected her to caught feelings...that was her mistake not mine....— He was doing his best effort to not break in front of the ghoul, the weight of his lies and his aching heart were making everything more difficult
— Don't fucking lie to me, you were the one that told me how much you wanted her to be only yours, how did you have this big travel prepared just for the two of you. What the fuck...
— I was going to make her life miserable!! I was trying to save her!! Do you think that they care about me being Papa!? Do you think that I have any real power here!? I'm their fucking puppet!! I'm just a piece of their game! I'm just a fucking marionette being pulled by my own father and Imperator! I don't have a fucking choice!! ....—He snapped, his rage was big, as big as his pain. His eyes burned with tears that could not fall out. — ...they were going to make her life a living nightmare....
— You are exaggerating Boss.....I know that you would do anything to protect her but this is too much..
—.I'm not exaggerating....Verona is part of an old family like ours...her family has enough money and influence in the Vatican city, enough for us to steal the sacred books that we need...it's a fucking arrange marriage...once again , I'm just useful if I'm being manipulated by my father...
— Why you didn't say anything?...about this marriage being a fucking power move from your family?....You are my boss but...we are friends Terzo...we could have tried to find another solution...
—There was no other solution Omega...This is something that I had to do quickly...make sure that everyone knew that we were going to tie the knot..
— That's why you kissed sister Verona in front of y/n?...I got the arranged marriage part but...you totally broke her with that ...
—....I did it because I want her to hate me...if she hates me it will be easier for her...it will be easier for me to not lose my mind and go to her room begging for her forgiveness...begging for her to be with me...If she hates me , I can love her from far away knowing that she will never look at me in the way that I crave ...—He looked at his desk, in one of the drawers there was a little Jack Skellington plush that she gave to him for his birthday. He recalled how she told him that it reminded her of him, how happy she was when he kept him in his office. He grabbed the little plush and placed it on his chest, close to him. It still smelled like her...like the woman that he truly loved but could never have.
— .... Please terzo...there has to be something that we can do, they cannot force you to marry her...
—They can, and believe me they will.....can I ask you one more thing? Not as your boss but as a friend....please take care of her.
— You need to tell her the truth....
— I can't....I can't....No one can ...Imperator would kill me if she found out I fucked up her plan..—He left the plushie on his drawer carefully, as it was now his most priced possession. The only reminder that she loved him and that he loved her— ...leave me alone...
— Terzo....—Omega disobeyed and hugged him, he knew now that he was going through the same pain and heartache. He left the youngest of the Emeritus resting in his chest, he didn't hear him cry, but the way in which his shoulders shivered was the clear signal of his emotions.
No one said a word, it wasn't necessary, for Omega this was the time that he needed to be there for Terzo, not his boss, his friend...the one who was always so flashy, so flamboyant and a master of sweeping sisters and brothers of their feets with just one look, one smirk. The always so confident Terzo, behind doors was another human being, not so confident, filled with rage and anger, filled with self hatred that followed him as a dark cloud, he felt useless most of the time, the massive amounts of pressure, the relationship with his family, the void left by his mostly absent mother... There were only a few beings on this planet who knew the whole Truth behind the confidence of the young emeritus, Copia and Omega were his closest friends, the ones that tried to make him avoid the fall each time he was closer to break. For omega this was so painful to watch, he never thought of seeing his friend and boss so heartbroken. He needed to do something...he knew that the pain could drive both of them crazy.
Outside the office the ghouls still looked around trying to find her, Mountain went to the den to look for his comfortable shoes in case he needed to go up the hill outside the abbey to find her, that's when he found her. Curled up in a ball on the sofa , her face was puffy and red...He knew that she had been crying her eyes out. He called the rest of the ghouls, no one wanted to wake her up, Mountain took her to his bed and let her rest there, covering her with some blankets as the other ghouls talked in the living room.
— ....She is in severe pain...—Sunshine sighed— I can feel it... completely heart broken...
— ....Why did Terzo do that?...He seemed so in love with her some weeks ago....— Cirrus replied looking to mountain who had a concerned and thoughtful expression.
— There is something really sketchy going on...We know that our boss is a womanizer, but he seemed really...in love with her...This is completely out of character even for him...—Mountain replied and took a seat. — Our priority is her right now...Sunny, can you take care of her? Let's make her stay a couple of days here...
— It's okay...I will take care of her, but what are we going to say to Imperator if she starts looking for her?...
—She is sick, that's all...Do you think Copia knows something about this? He is also close to terzo...Secondo and Primo seemed as surprised as us...
—....You don't have to do anything guys....— Y/n entered the living room, she seemed small, her always bright and big personality was nowhere to be seen, she had puffy eyes , and his nose was still a bit red. She tried to brush her fingers and fix her robe before walking to the door. — I'm sorry for...crashing here, I'm going to my room...
— Stay here... Sweetheart you are wasted, we can go to look for your things right cumulus?
— Yeah...Cirrus and I will bring your things here so you can stay for a couple of days...
— I'm fine...just....Don't pity me, it's stupid....I'm just a stupid girl who let a complete womanizer make me believe that it was worth the try...—She responded with no emotion at all.— I'm going to my room, I need to sort something out...and please, don't try to do something....It is what it is...
— Please y/n...we know that...it's too much too soon...but we are here for you if you need us...stay here at least tonight, we can watch movies and eat something tasty...— Sunshine hugged her, she let herself rest a bit in the ghoulette, after a long breath she smiled a bit, defeated but honest.
— Thank you guys.... really, I will...I'm going for a couple of my stuff and then after dinner I can come to stay the night...I just need a moment...
— We get it....—Mountain kissed her forehead, they all had a soft spot for the sister, she was kind and always treated them with respect and care. To everyone in the den,seeing her like that was a worry. A huge worry.
She went back to her room and began to pack a couple of things in a small backpack, her pajamas and some clothes. Her roommates understood her decision and decided to help her do her chores for a couple of days. She undressed and changed her clothes to something more casual and comfortable. As she moved some things around she looked herself in the mirror, the necklace adorning her neck was a reminder of broken promises and lies. After packing and organizing some stuff she left the room, took the necklace off and went to his office. She was going to return the piece of jewelry to its owner.
As she made her way to Terzo's office her heart felt heavy, she was nervous but she needed to let it go as fast as she could....and that was a start.
— Excuse me Papa...—She entered without knocking, not that she cared anyway.
He tensed up seeing her. What was she doing there?...He could not let his feelings control him, he needed to be strong, he needed to be cold towards her. He needed to protect her even from him.
— What are you doing here?....I guess that by now it is pretty obvious that our arrangement is over. —He tried to not look at her eyes directly, his expression was stoic. Even when his insides were burning.
— I know....That's why I came. —She walked to his desk and left the necklace on top of it. — This is yours....Your precious future wife is going to look amazing with it.
— It was a gift...there is no use in getting it back. It belongs to you...
— I don't want it anymore...If you don't want it either throw it in the trash...—She was trying her best to be calm and show little to no emotion, but slowly it was breaking. So many times in that office seared on his lap, kissing and talking, working together...eating together sometimes when the work was too much to get out to eat...She was about to leave everything in that office forever. Starting with him.
— ...You are leaving?....—He saw the small backpack and the way in which she was dressed. His heart ached by the mere thought of her leaving...his egoist desire of keeping her at least in the abbey, the masochistic desire of torturing his soul looking at her from a distance...
— Something like that, not that you care....it seems that you never did anyway....
— ...y/n....
— No no, I know I'm being petty....and I know for a fact that I was stupid. Stupid enough to believe in your fucking lies, stupid enough to believe in your words....— Her feelings ended up slipping, she couldn't hold them any longer. She needed to let the pain out in some way. — Stupid enough to believe that you were interested in me... —Her voice broke as tears fell slowly from her eyes to her jaw, her hands shook a bit as she looked right at him trying not to scream or throw something. The rage of feeling betrayed, the pain that she felt in her heart for losing him, the feeling of being used.
— I'm not a liar... — He felt how the guilt and pain sunk his heart. He wanted so badly to hug her, to make her stop crying and tell her that he loved her, that he was doing all of this because he wanted to protect her. That it was all a scheme , a plan...that if he had any chance of living another life with her he would do it....
—....You are....And you know what it worst than you being a liar? Me believing in everything that you did...The kisses, the nights making love to each other....I loved you....that is what hurt the most...I fucking fell in love with you against all odds of the two being something some day. I wanted to believe in you!....—She raised her voice a bit, and immediately after she stopped talking. She took a deep breath and let some of the anger flow again inside of her, she was not going to make a scandal there, she was not going to give him the chance to see her completely broke. She just turned around and walked towards the exit.— I'm not going to return here, so don't worry about me. I will not tell a soul of this...and I hope that you have a happy marriage, and that all of the things that you did were worth it....Goodbye Terzo. —She left the office and went walking again, she lighted up a cigarette she stole from Dewdrop and got outside to the garden, as soon as she sat she began crying...she felt so defeated.
As she was crying her heart out in the garden, a soft woman's voice approached her, seemingly worried.
— Are you okay?...— As soon as she looked up she realized that the one asking for her was sister Verona...terzo's prime mover. She wanted to scream at her for a bit...but she was not guilty, most probably she didn't even know about her existence.
—....I'm just heartbroken...don't worry about me...
— Piccolina, you seem like a train went over you, it had to be the biggest heartbreak huh?....I'm so sorry, is there anything that you need right now?
She was so beautiful....and so nice. She was sure that she would become a great prime mover, a great mother, a great companion for the leader of the church. She felt envious, how could she ever stand a chance competing with someone like her?...
— Don't be...I'm going to be fine....
— You sure will! Look at you woman...you are beautiful, and you seem nice. I'm sure that you will meet the one, as our dark lord guides your path...
— I'm sure I will....— It was cruel and comic at the same time, the irony of being comforted by the woman that is going to marry the man that you loved, the poor thing without even knowing that you are crying for the man she is going to make a life with. — You already found yours, haven't you?....Papa nonetheless...
— Oh...yeah....how charming isn't it?....—Her demeanor seemed sarcastic when talking about him. She was about to talk a bit more until she looked at the clock in the entry of the garden. — Oh merda..I have a meeting and I'm already late....take care sweet girl, and don't shed tears for an asshole who did not appreciate the wonderful woman that you are...Good bye sister....
— Y/n...sister y/n....— She replied as she saw how she was trying to guess her name.
Verona could swear that she had heard that name before, and she seemed quite familiar...But she couldn't get quite there yet to remember where or with who.
— Goodbye sister y/n!..
Verona walked fast to Terzo's office, she was pretty tired but wanted to finish all of this misery business as soon as possible...A arranged marriage, in this era..
It was stupid. She adored Terzo...as a friend. She never felt anything for the guy more than friendship and a sweet care, they had meet each other years ago in Italy when the man was a boy and he was studying for becoming a priest in the church of Satan...Being son of the Emeritus bloodline was a lot of pressure, and she understood him being herself subject of big pressure by her own family name and fame.
The friendship grew easily, they got along well....but an arranged marriage was too much. But what could she do?....her family was hoping for a marriage...
— Terzo are you there?....—She walked in the office, he was seated holding something in his hand, totally lost in his thoughts.. — We need to talk....
— About what?... How are we going to name our future kids or what?...—He replied harshly, he felt bad in doing so, he knew that it wasn't her fault either...
—....We cannot marry and you know it...we are never going to work , and it's stupid....our families are friends if they need the books so much they just need to ask...
— It's a plan by our fathers and you know it...—He sighed and left the necklace on top of some papers. — ...at least it's you...it could have been a complete stranger...
— Yeah....it could had been...—She looked to the necklace, and then it hit her...The girl crying, it was the same one that she saw in Terzo's office a couple of months ago, it was the same girl that was on his backstage when she was talking with Copia...the owner of the necklace. — You know...there was a sister crying in the garden...—She looked at him and took the necklace — She told me that someone broke her heart...the poor thing was crying her eyes out while smoking outside...
—....Yeah?...— He tensed a bit, it could be her?..— Poor girl....
— Yeah...Sister y/n......The owner of this piece of jewelry... isn't it?....— His eyes opened in surprise, she tied the loose threads so easily, she saw behind his masked emotions with such ease— Oh terzo....you broke her heart?...are you the one she is crying about?...this is...because of me?....
—This is not your fault Verona...it's mine...I was a coward and....pushed her away...
— She doesn't know that this is arranged? ...what did you tell her?...
—I planned a fight....then I just ignored her until today....— Confessing this to her felt so relieving and at the same time made him feel so ashamed— Did you talk with her?....
— I did! Now I felt terrible....poor thing...Me there trying to cheer her up and I'm one of the reasons she is crying!...How could you possibly not tell me that you were with her!?....and how you possibly could have done that to her! Terzo....you are better than that....
— I'm not...I'm just a puppet in this play...
— That's it....I'm tired of this bullshit..—She put the necklace in her pocket and before he could stop her she turned around and looked directly into his eyes. — You are a fucking grown up terzo, you are papa! Do something!...Don't let her go if you love her you idiot...
She left the room and went again to the garden, hoping to find her, but she was nowhere to be found.
She was outside the building, she went for a coffee outside, alone. She looked at the buildings that were close to the abbey, could she ever leave the church?...She was going to be able to live with him and his image lurking over her everyday?...She didn't knew what to do, she wanted to leave but had nowhere to go, she wanted to stay but she knew that seeing him every day was going to kill her slowly...
As she walked to the coffee shop she felt someone calling her from a car, she got closer to it to reveal the sweet Cardinal Copia. Dressed much less formal and elegant, he looked casual and comfortable.
— It's freezing, do you want to go for a ride instead?....—They both laughed a bit, she got up in the car and thanked him. — No worries...How are you feeling?...— She knew that he was aware of the situation, she could trust him.
— Honestly?....I felt like shit. Like someone stomped on my heart and broke it in thousands of sharp pieces...
—....I know this gorgeous place , it's a bit far from here...Let me make a call and we can go if you like...they have an amazing Italian coffee....
— I would love to....Thanks Cardinal....
— I'm a bit down also, we could use some good company don't you think?...—He called Sister Imperator. — Sister, yeah...Oh no no, don't worry I'm okay, I'm going to take a bit more. I'm going to look for some things....Si Si, church things....Si, do you want a cinnamon roll for your noon coffee? Si , si...Thank you sister, byeee...—He looked at her with a smile.— Well...off we go, put in your seat belt please...
— Thank you Cardinal...for real....—She smiled at him and let her head rest on the window. Looking outside, the day was beautiful, but to her it seemed toned down.
— There's nothing to thank sister, you need to clear your mind...Sorry if I overstep but...Did you talk with Terzo?...
— Well...No, yeah.... something like that, I just.... yelled at him and left....I can't believe that I was just a fool...
— You are not... You are in love Piccolina, and ...I believe that he is in love with you too...Hear me out, please....This could sound a bit weird but, Verona is not interested at all in him, and this feels too rushed...even for Terzo. Something doesn't fit well...
— Oh Cardinal...you are just trying to cheer me up....
— Piccolina, I'm not. I swear, Verona has been my friend since we were kids, if she was going to get married I would have known....Secondo and Primo didn't know either...This seems off to everyone...
—Well....maybe he just didn't have the balls to tell me about it...Either way, We are nothing at this moment...He is going to get married and...I will have to live with it....
— Do you really love him?...
— .....I do....It's stupid, we were just friends...and then we thought that it was a great idea become friend with benefits ... But oh cardinal...he was so sweet with me...He helped me so much, he held me in his arms so many times when I couldn't sleep at night, I was so in love with him...my heart is so broken...—She couldn't hold the tears, he kept driving but had one of his hands on her shoulder, comforting her.
— ...I can't promise that I will make things better, but I'm going to try Sister.... let's go for that coffee, you will love it.
They went for coffee, to the place that Copia has bragged so much, she saw from the window the abbey getting smaller and smaller in the distance. She tried to get her mind focused on other things, the beautiful greenery from the hills, the music that the Cardinal had in the car, the small talk between them.
She was determined to get over him, or die trying.
A.N: Heeey, I hope you enjoyed it. 💕 I know, it's sad and hurts a lot. But,.I wanted to change the focus of this type of fic in which they use the other woman as a threat or make her evil, in this story I wanted to make sister Verona a likeable character, to make clear that she is not the enemy or wants to hurt the reader. Again, thank you so much for the support and love 💕 And remember! Eat well, drink water and get some rest 💕

Terzo felt like he was dying. His chest was tight, lungs screaming for air as he sobbed. He hadn't cried in years. Not since his mother had disowned him and transferred from the main abbey when he was a child. And now here he was, crying like a child because his best friend was dead and left him alone to raise their daughter. She didn't even get to hold her before she began to hemorrhage.
His child was screaming in his arms, her pink face scrunched as his paint ran and stained her blanket. But he couldn't stop. He wasn't sure he even wanted to. How was he meant to raise their child by himself? She should have been here, not wheeled away to the morgue to be readied for the crypt tucked under the abbey. She was supposed to be here.
His father was nowhere to be seen, just as he had been as soon as he'd heard the news of his impending granddaughter. Because Terzo was supposed to have a son to carry on the mantle of Papa, not a daughter who would sully their name. But he had ordered it. Terzo didn't want a child. He liked them, but that didn't mean he thought he'd be a good father. It's not as if he'd had a good example.
Terzo knew he would be expected to hand off his child to someone else, to produce an actual heir with another Sister of Sin. He couldn't do that. Despite his fear, he could do nothing but cradle his daughter tightly to his chest. He couldn't let her go.

~~
When you saw Terzo being dragged off stage you knew. You knew that you were probably never going to see him again. Not matter how fast you ran backstage, no matter how much you screamed and begged at Imperators feet for her to let you see him, you just knew.
You hated her. Oh how you hated her. Her voice made you sick before but now it felt as if it could kill you. Her radical plans for growth and “prosperity” were insane. What happened to community? What happened to being better? To being merciful? She preached such justice but her actions showed no such kindness. She stripped Terzo of his dignity, just as she had done to his brothers. You fucking hated her.
You remembered his scream. It was quick, but it was heart shattering. A high pitched screech of terror as his head was removed from his body, blood spilling out from under the door which you sat in front of wailing. Your screams matched his own. Banging and pounding on the door, begging them to let you in and give his body comfort as they all but violated him.
Your papa, your Terzo deserved better than what they had given him. All she did was take, too obsessed with his dead beat father and their past to even realize her actions. You recalled a conversation you had with Terzo one night about her and his father’s actions.
“I find it ironic how they call themselves the exact opposite of the Catholic Church yet still are so unjust” you said, laying your head against Terzo’s shoulder. He chuckled. It was a sad sound that stemmed from his would, from his memories.
“The problem my love is not Satanism itself,” He said, sitting up a bit, clearing his throat. “But the power that comes from running the congregation.” He concluded, jutting out his bottom lip momentarily as opposed to a shrug.
“Power can make even the most just people,” You stilled, biting back the tears that threatened to spill. “Into monsters.”
And that’s what she was, even if she didn’t want to admit it to herself. You saw it, and so did your fellow siblings. They watched along with you has her invisible hands puppetered the new papa into her little plaything. What made it worse is that he was her son. He couldn’t see how she was using him, how she manipulated him. Papa or not Copia was a way target for people like her, and she knew it too.
No matter how hard you tried though you couldn’t hate Copia. He was devastated when Terzo died, crying right along side you, on his hands and knees covered in blood in front of that same door. Banging and screaming just as you were. He wanted his brother. You wanted your lover. You both had lost something precious that day.
The years after Terzo’s death were difficult to put it lightly. After losing your partner you were stripped of everything you had grown accustomed to. You remember being woken up the morning after his death to three ghouls telling you that you had to leave as the Papal suite had to be prepared for the new papa. You watched as your bed, as your shared bed was taken from you. Blankets you both bought together thrown away or washed, pillows that you both had used to have child like fights repurposed or trashed. Dresser emptied out and his clothes thrown away.
One of the ghouls, one of the new ones, took pity on you and allowed you to keep one of his shirts, even though Imperator said it was forbidden. She claimed the church had to be rid of all previous leaders in order to prepare for new life. But a life was taken, and people tend to remember those things.
After you were shoved back Into a siblings quarters you were given new orders and they included library duties and organizing new files which is what you did normally but one thing made you stop in your tracks. You were in charge of introducing the new papa to his role.
You threw the papers against the wall and screamed. You wanted to kill something. You wanted to punch your first through a wall until your hand bled. You wanted to throw everything in the Abbey upside down until everyone had a semblance of what was happening in your mind. But you couldn’t. So you fell to your knees and cried.
It got easier in the year after. Copia wasn’t as hard to deal with as you thought he’d be, but his performance as Papa was slower than it should’ve, but he got slack, because of her. Every kind word out of her mouth made bike rise in your throat. She was laying the sweetness on so thick you taste it. It made you hate her even more because Copia could barely tell that she was faking it. His excuse, when you tried to bring it up, was that it’s just how mothers act, child privilege and all. You wanted to shove his neck against the ground and stomp on it.
But you stayed silent, not doubting that if you showed a moment of weakness that Imperator would probably have you killed as well. So you stayed silent, did your work.
When Imperator passed you had to stop yourself from smiling. It was Copias mother after all and he was in pain, and as his friend you did your best to comfort him. Soothing his cries and helping him adjust to his new job as Frater Imperator. You thought the title suited him, partially because he was deserving of the promotion, partially because the Imperator title needed a new name to it, not that bitch that had it before.
Which led to now. It was dark out, about 1:00 and you found yourself, once again, unable to sleep. You were curled up on the small arm chair that you had shoved into the corner of your college dorm sized room. You were wearing Terzo’s shirt. It was an old tattered thing, one of Primos first merchandise drops, but he got it when he was a cardinal and kept it ever since. He would wear it almost every night to bed, and you began to joke that he liked his brothers songs more than his own, to which he would always deny and say that he brought a fresher touch to the band.
The memories of him usually made you smile, but they also made you sad at the realization that you’d be unable to make new ones. Pushing those thoughts from your mind, you focused back on your book.
A light knock stirred your attention. You were not expecting any visitors, especially not at this time. Everyone should be asleep, there is a curfew after all.
Getting up you started towards the door as another knock was given. A louder more frantic one. And then a voice. It stopped you. Pulled the air from your lungs as your eyes went wide. Laying your clammy hands on the doorknob and opening you almost passed out. Standing there, in all his moldy unkempt glory, was Terzo. Your Terzo.
You couldn’t speak, couldn’t think, but your body acted on impulse and you lunged for him, wrapping your arms around him and locking your lips together. He let out a muffled gasp before chuckling, tangling his hands in your hair. You eventually had to part for air, but as you looked in his eyes you began to sob. Hands gripping onto his shirt and legs locking around his waist. He shushed you and brought you inside, letting out a disgruntled snort seeing the room they had chucked you into.
He didn’t understand what you were feeling, the ritual he had just been through wiped any memory of the Pit from his mind, leaving him in only confusion as he woke up on the chapel floor, feeling as if no times had passed.
He could see your hurt though, and he could imagine what you had felt, so he held you tighter, shushing and rocking you as you cried endlessly in his arms.

“A summons?” you gasped jumping up from the couch. “A summons?! Oh, great. Perfect. Wait, what exactly is a summons?”
“It’s a meeting with Papa… alone…” Copia said, his voice balancing on the edge of feigned calmness and panic.
“Why the fuck does he need to see me alone? He can’t excommunicate me without witnesses, right? …Right?!” Your voice was rising in pitch as you started to pace around the living room.
“I-I don’t know, tesoro. No matter what happens, eh, I don’t think he’ll let you go that… easily.”
“Okay, okay, we just have to remain calm and- and think about this rationally. I-it could just be the slap on the wrist for the outburst, right?”
“Maybe…”
“Then again, if I’m alone in his office it’ll probably be a slap across my ass,” you grumbled, rolling your eyes. Copia couldn’t even respond, he just made a growling sound from deep inside his chest. You held your hands up defensively. “I’m just saying.”
“If so much as lays one finger on you–”
“He won’t,” you interrupted. “What happened after I left mass?”
“I got up to run after you and the fucker, very condescendingly, reminded me…” he trailed off as a realization smacked him across the face. “He reminded me I was to lead the closing prayer, which he assigned to me at the last minute. Cazzo! Quel figlio di puttana (Fuck! That son of a bitch…) planned this. He knows what he’s fucking doing,” he fumed. “That’s why he couldn’t wipe that fucking smirk off his face.”
“Oh fucking hell, we are so fucked,” you groaned, sitting back down on the couch with your head in your hands.
“Eh, maybe not if we’re already figuring out his plan?”
“True... Okay, so… we just have to think like Terzo.” A repulsed shiver went down your spine at that thought alone. “His comment to me was planned. He wanted to get under my skin. Point for him. I spat wine in his face and told him to fuck off in front of literally everyone. Point for me. But he was testing me to see my reaction or maybe it was just to test your reaction, or both? Either way, it didn’t matter because he made it so your duties came first no matter what I did… Point for him. He’s in the lead and now I’m gonna have to be in his office tomorrow. Great. Just fucking great.”
“So he’s going after me now too…” Copia sighed as he ran his hands through his hair.
“N-no. Not just you.” Your voice faltered as you felt your insides do a somersault. A realization of your own drained every emotion from your face. “He’s going after us. He’s going– He’s gonna try and break us apart.” Copia looked up at you, dumbfounded. Of course. Of course that’s exactly what Terzo was doing.
“If he can’t have you, no one can…”
“Do you remember what a big fucking deal it was to get me on the books for living with him?” Copia nodded, not liking where this was going. “I… I never officially moved out… I just… came here. He’s… he’s going to reassign my living quarters tomorrow. That's what this has to be about.”
“Oh Satana mio…(Oh my Satan)”
“Call Sister Imperator. Right now. She can rush the paperwork, can't she?”
“Amore, even if we could, he’d still have to sign off on it in the morning,” he sighed.
“I can’t just sit here and wait for morning. Even if that’s not what the summons is going to be about, at least let’s cover our asses. Now… Call. Her.”
He ignored the warmth that traveled up his body from you being stern and demanding with him and started the call to their superior. She answered right away and you were sitting on the edge of the couch. “H-hi, uh, hello, Seestor. I’m sorry it’s so la– Sì. She received the summons… Eh, sì, that’s why I’m calling you… No… Okie dokie, Seestor.” He hung up the phone after that.
“Did you really just ‘okie dokie’ Sister Imperator?”
Copia just shrugged. “She’s expecting us in her office.”
“Hmph!” you hummed triumphantly as you got up. “Told ya we needed to call her.”
He rolled his eyes at your gloating. “Andiamo, anidamo (let’s go, let’s go),” he said as he placed a hand on the small of your back, letting you lead the way out of the apartment.
Copia knocked swiftly on Imperator’s door. Seconds later it was opened. “Come in. Quickly!” she hissed. The Sister took her seat at her desk, while you and Copia sat in the chairs in front of her. She stared at you, her lips pursed. “That was some stunt you pulled at mass today, Sister.”
“I-I… he… I’m–” you stuttered and then abruptly shut up when she held her hand up.
“I knew of the nature of your relationship with Papa and I know that it is no longer. I know of the infidelity… on both your parts. Save the apologies. I heard what he said to you. When I was your age… I would have acted similarly… I did not bring you both here because of that incident. Clearly Papa Emeritus III is out of control and it’s only going to get worse.” She spoke matter-of-factly. There was no animosity in her voice towards you, this was strictly business.
“I think he’s going to try to separate Copia and I,” you blurted out quickly. You winced at the frantic tone of your voice.
“Yes I know. I have your room transfer papers ready. Luckily, it’s before midnight, so tomorrow he won’t have a say in where you end up since this is already being put in motion. Sign here and here,” she pointed with her pen as she spoke and handed a clipboard over to Copia who then passed it to you.
“Do you… do you know what else is going to happen tomorrow? At the summoning?” you questioned timidly.
“No. I only caught wind about the transfer. But, Sister, you must be prepared. We are thwarting his plans. Whatever happens tomorrow, you cannot retaliate via a spectacle. I am fully on your side here, but we need to bide our time.”
“So… What? I’m just supposed to take the public humiliation and whatever else he’s gonna throw in my face?”
“I think what Seestor is trying to say, cara, is that behind closed doors you can say anything you want to him, but whatever you say to him, we don’t know if he will retaliate right then or wait to strike,” Copia said calmly.
Sister Imperator gave a short nod in agreement. “Your reactions have to be calculated. You cannot let your emotions get the best of you in the moment. You’ve done so well holding yourself together, I know you are capable of this.”
You felt the weight of everything come crashing down on you, overwhelming you. All you could do was chew on the inside of your cheek.
“I know you know this more than anyone, Sister,” Imperator continued, “Terzo is out of control and out of line. This is becoming nothing but a game to him. As Papa, he feels no one has the power to tell him no. At the rate he is going, he will only bring ruin to this Ministry. And I, for one, will do everything in my power to keep that from happening. I know Cardinal Copia feels the same.”
He nodded. “Sì, Seestor. I do.”
“I will do whatever it takes, Sister.”
“Do you know why your role is so vital to this?” Sister Imperator questioned. You shook your head. “You were the only one that could tame Terzo. For a while, I had thought we found our solution to our problems with him. But he is a wild animal. No amount of domestication will tame that beast. You also possess magical and ritual talents well beyond your years. You are a very valuable asset to the church as a whole. If all goes according to plan, your efforts will be regarded in the highest favor from the Dark Lord himself, I’m sure.”
You were too stunned by her praise to notice that Copia shifted uncomfortably. Sister Imperator shot a glare at him to stop before you looked up from your hands. “I– Um, thank you, Sister.”
She gave you a stiff nod as she began to organize the papers on her desk. “Oh, and, Sister? Should anything happen to you, be it comments or gestures, report it to myself or Cardinal Copia. Immediately. If I am preoccupied, tell someone or myself that you have a very important document for me to review. Understood?”
“Yes, Sister,” you nodded.
“Very well then. I will have this processed and on Papa’s desk by sun rise.”
Copia got up and bowed to Sister Imperator. He held out his hand for you to take your leave. Just as you both were a step away from the door, you turned back to her desk. “Sister Imperator?” you asked innocently.
“Hmm?” she murmured without looking up at you.
“Thank you,” you said sincerely.
She finally looked up at you, her eyes darting between you and Copia. An uncharacteristically warm smile spread across her face. “No need to thank me yet.” Her demeanor turned back to its usual stoicness. “Now go get some rest. The both of you. You’ll need it.”
~~~~~
Even though you somehow managed to fall asleep, you felt like as soon as you drifted off, you heard the incessant beeping of Copia’s alarm. You rolled to face the ceiling and groaned, but didn’t allow yourself any more time in bed. You wanted this over with. You had no idea what was about to happen. Delaying it wasn’t going to solve any problems. Reluctantly, you got up and showered quickly, putting on your makeup afterwards. While Copia got ready for the day, you searched your side of the closet, trying to decide the best approach for this summons.
Earlier last week, while Terzo was tied up in meetings, you and one of your favorite Ghouls went back to the place you once called home and packed up the rest of your things. When you brought in the last box, and the Ghoul was to return to his post, he gave you his signature straight-lined, toothy smile, something he rarely did around humans. He stood at your side and wrapped his arms around your shoulders, nuzzling his head into you. The affection was so endearing you didn’t mind his mask slightly clunking against your head.
“Thank you for always being there for me, Swiss,” you told him. He had caught you crying on more than one occasion, always wiping your tears away or badly misbehaving around Papa when he realized that’s who was the reason for your sadness. “Don’t forget about me, okay?” you laughed delicately. The Ghoul put both their hands over their heart and shook their head. How could they ever forget the one person who treated them like an equal and not as just a devout servant or like some kind of pet?
His shoulders slumped when it was time for him to go. You put your hand on the side of his arm, giving it a gentle squeeze and said, “Be on your worst behavior for Papa. Be the best little shit I know you can be for me, alright?” He perked up and nodded excitedly, happily accepting this task from you. “There we go, that’s my favorite Ghoul,” you smiled warmly and scratched under his chin as his tail swished. He flashed you one more of his signature smiles before turning heel and heading back.
You sighed. “I miss the Ghouls,” you grumbled as you continued to flip through all the clothes you had hanging. You could wear something plain, albeit respectful, just what all the Sisters wore day-to-day. Maybe something more formal… But then you found it. It was a dress you saved for special occasions and events and luckily for you, you had yet to wear this one. A devilish smile went across your face.
Looking in the mirror, smoothing out any stray wrinkles, you nodded to yourself. You looked hotter than hell. You had your wimple on, but pulled some hair out to have it frame your face. You fluffed your bangs, then applied your red lipstick. Yeah, this’ll do.
You walked out of your room, causing Copia to look up from his phone. He almost choked on his coffee at the sight of you.
The dress was a black satin that hugged your body. Leaving very little to the imagination, it had a plunging neckline and an open back. Its asymmetrical hem fell just above your left ankle, while the right side hit the top of your thigh, showing off your whole leg when you walked. On that leg, you had a garter with a single Grucifix dangling from it, made of black diamonds. It had been a gift from Terzo, you only hoped it added insult to injury. For shoes you wore simple, black, strappy stilettos.
“Y-you’re wearing that for h-him?” he stuttered in shock.
You grinned a Cheshire cat smile as you walked over to him. Tilting his head to the side you were on, you leaned down and kissed him. Your hand trailing down his chest, a finger dragging across where his pants started under his cassock. “Oh, caro, this dress isn’t for him. I’m dressing for revenge.” You dragged the hand holding his head across his jawline as you pulled away. “You got a little…” you said quietly as you used your thumb to wipe the corner of his mouth. He could only stare at you as you walked towards the door. His eyes wide and filled with lust. “Meet me back here for lunch,” you said, your tone commanding. You looked over your shoulder with a delightfully sinful grin to see Copia nodding fervently.
Just before you stepped out to leave, he called out, “Be careful, amore. Per favore.”
“Always am,” you responded as you shut the door. Taking one long, deep breath, you began your trek to the summons.
Dark Lord, give me the strength to mask my emotions, to not let them overpower my actions. Please, give me your strength and guidance to get through this. Nema, you thought to yourself, eyes closed and focused as you stood outside his office and set your intention. You elegantly knocked on the door.
“Entra.”
Let the battle begin.
He sat with his elbows on his desk, chin perched in his folded hands. You felt him eyeing you as you walked over to the chair across from him, sizing you up. His face dropped slightly, taken aback by your appearance. His lust for you consuming him.
“You did this all for me, sorella? Or would you still prefer I call you tesoro mio?” His voice was sultry, dripping with sweet honey. It made you sick.
“Sorella is fine, Papa. You summoned me, I only thought it best to wear something more formal,” you smiled politely.
“I always did like the way you think…” he mused under his breath, but still loud enough for you to hear. You ignored the comment. “Do you know why I summoned you, tesorino?”
Your expression held firm as you kept your air of professionalism intact. “I can only assume it has to do with the incident from mass.”
“Actually, I wanted to discuss your living arrangements. But you see, a very curious thing happened. There were already papers on my desk dealing with just that. Isn't it funny how quickly things can get done when you know the right people, hmm?”
“I see it as a blessing. The Dark Lord works in mysterious ways.”
“That He does, that He does…” his smile showed he was impressed by your response and ability to dodge the question, but his tone suggested he knew the move was calculated. “Well, with that out of the way now, I suppose we have time to talk.” He looked at you through his lashes. He softened, his voice quieter. Was this his way of waving the white flag? You weren’t talking to Papa now, you had Terzo in front of you. The real Terzo. However, you weren’t about to drop your guard so easily.
“What is there to talk about, Papa?”
He shook his head, his expression forlorn. “This isn’t business anymore.” When he looked up at you, he dropped any and every mask he was wearing. Even behind his papal paints, you could see how broken and defeated he actually was. “You left… and then I returned home one day and… every trace of you was gone. Poof. As if you were never there. As if we never happened…” he took a deep breath, it was unsteady. He bit his lip in an effort to control his emotions. You stared numbly at him. “Do you remember the first night I stayed with you? When you were sick?” he whispered.
Of course you remembered. How could you forget? You had a nasty cold. You texted him early that day, telling him you were sick and you’d have to reschedule dinner. He told you to rest and get better and that he would see you soon. You didn’t think ‘soon’ meant him showing up at your door later that evening with two quart containers of minestrone soup (that he made himself from his nonna’s recipe (and with Primo’s guidance)) and a bouquet of flowers.
“What are we watching, tesoro?” he asked as he settled in behind you, holding you, arm wrapped around your waist. You felt guilty having him there.
“You really don’t have to stay. I mean I don't want to get you sick and… Really, I’m fine on my own, especially now that I have soup!”
“Amore. Just because you do well on your own doesn’t mean you have to be on your own, hm? I'm here because I want to be, because la mia ragazza preferita (my favorite girl) is sick. If we fall asleep watching tv, then we sleep! There’s no use arguing with me, you know,” he said as he pulled you closer to him and pressed gentle kisses on your neck. “I'm staying– right– here.” His voice was muffled from barely taking his mouth away from your neck as he punctuated each word with a kiss. The affection made you bubble with laughter.
“I'm glad you’re here,” you said shyly. It was at that moment you knew you had a difficult conversation ahead of you. One that could make or break your relationship with Terzo, but you were falling for him. Hard. Nothing could stop your momentum. He had a reputation and if he loved you like he said he did, he’d commit to you. Wouldn’t he?
He let out a content sigh that pulled you out of your thoughts. He nuzzled into your shoulder. “Sono tua. Tutta tua.” He paused before adding, “Solo tua.” You froze. Did he read your mind? Did he feel the same as you? (I am yours. All yours. Only yours.)
“Solo mia? Davvero?” (Only mine? Really?)
“Sì. Sì,” he murmured affectionately as he placed a kiss on your temple. “There's no one else I want to share my time with. You’re all I think about, all I dream about, amore. You ground me. Make me feel like… I'm not… I’m not as— You make me feel like I'm worth loving. I want… us… I want to be esclusivi with you.” A sudden bashfulness came over him that you had never seen before. He was also so cool and collected, but you could tell just from the sound of his voice and the way he was fidgeting, tapping his fingers on your arm as he spoke that he was nervous.
You rolled over and cupped his face, searching his eyes with nothing but adoration. “Promise me then. Promise me, I’ll be the only one. Promise me, I’ll be your only one.”
“Te lo prometto. I promise you. You have my word, amata.”
“If you get sick this is on you. It’s so not my fault,” you jested as you poked his chest.
His eyes lit up. “Will you take care of me if I do?”
You swept his bangs away from his eyes. “Certo, amore.” His eyes scanned your face like he was trying to remember every single detail of it. “Okay, then I have no regrets about doing this and accept the consequences,” you added as you grabbed his face and kissed him. He deepened the kiss, turning and pulling you on top of him. You couldn’t help but giggle. This was it. You both were in it for the long haul. There was no going back now.
You pursed your lips and rolled them together as you tore yourself away from the now painful memory. You couldn’t help but wonder, if that was the long haul then how’d you end up here so soon?
“I do… but forgive me, what does that have to do with anything?”
He was focused on his hands in front of him as he anxiously tapped his fingers together. “Could you ever look at me again the way you did that night? Could you ever love me again?”
“Do you know how many nights I spent wondering where that Terzo had gone?” you snapped as you countered his amative question with one of your own that had been frozen in ice.
“I have always been here, tesoro,” he mumbled, avoiding your eyes again.
“Do you remember what you said to me that night? What you promised me? How you were all mine? Only mine?”
“Sì, ricordo (I remember)…” he muttered. The quietness of the room made your ears ring. With so many conflicting emotions running through your veins, the strongest made your blood begin to simmer.
“Then why? Why wasn’t I ever enough for you?” The questions flew out of your mouth before you could even debate betraying your strictly-business-like demeanor. Your voice tinged with desperation, devastation, and nostalgic longing. You wanted to hate Terzo. You wanted to. Most of the time now you did, but here he was in front of you. You sacrificed so much for him, for your relationship, you set all politics aside. Right now, you merely wanted answers to the thoughts that had kept you lying awake countless nights.
His breath got caught in his throat. It was as if he physically reacted to your words piercing through his heart. He stared at you, mouth slightly hung open in shock at both your question and the revelation of the consequence of his actions that it brought. Suddenly, he was on his feet, gliding over to you. Your chair had been far enough away from the desk that he was able to kneel in front of you. He placed his gloved hands on your knees.
Your jaw clenched. You saw right through what he was trying to do. Act as if it was the first time you confronted him. The first time you caught him.
The memory flooded your senses making you relive the moment when you returned to your apartment and sat at the table, waiting for the door to open. You didn’t even bother to turn on a light. Copia had walked you back after he literally ran into you as you tried to flee from one of your worst nightmares. It had taken you an hour or so to even begin to calm down. The clock neared eleven and he still wasn’t home.
He expected to find you already asleep, but he saw you waiting for him, still dressed, makeup ruined. The rage and hurt that radiated off you hit him like a brick wall as soon as he walked in and turned on the light. “Amore, what are you–”
“How was your day?” you asked plainly, staring at your hands folded in front of you.
“Lots of meetings,” he let out a tired sigh.
“Your last one ran really late. Is everything okay?”
He froze for a split second as he started to take off his gloves. He cleared his throat. “Yes, you know, just lots of red tape to sort through while the Ghost tour is being planned.” His voice became just unsteady enough to let you know he feared this was becoming an interrogation.
You nodded. “Hm, I thought that meeting was scheduled for next week.” For the first time since he returned, you looked over at him. You shrugged nonchalantly, turning away from him to look at your hands again.
“I-it got moved up suddenly. Mi dispiace, I thought someone had told you…” he muttered, making his way to the bedroom.
“Ah, yes, I’m sure Sister Thérèse just got tied up with someone… I mean something else. I haven’t seen much of her lately, or at all really, though I’m sure you have.” You turned to see him come to a complete standstill the moment your tone darkened. Slowly, he turned to you. He opened his mouth to stutter out something, but your voice was sharp as a sword. “Don’t.”
“I can explain–”
“Oh, I’m sure you can. There just has to be a reasonable explanation as to why you were balls deep inside her in a random office. And I’m sure there’s another for why the door was left ajar. Usually I would have just kept walking, but there was this very distinctive, very familiar voice. ‘È tutto. Ragazza bene. Sì, sei la mia ragazza preferita. È tutto (That’s it. Good girl. Yes, you’re my favorite girl. That’s it),’” you did your best mocking-impression of him you could muster. “I thought ‘Hmm, I’ve heard that somewhere before. There’s no way it could be..’ Well, sure enough, peaking through that crack in the door, there you were! And now… here we are.” You were so beyond furious that you appeared calm.
He stood there, still frozen, locked in place. You could see the fear in his eyes. If it weren’t the papal paints on his face you could have seen his color fade. When he finally was able to speak, his voice wavered, sounding close to a whimper. “Are… are you going to leave me?”
Your fists clenched and you let out a huff of air. “I’ve thought about it, but given the nature of everything, I just can’t up and leave you.” A silence hung in the air. “How the fuck did it get to this point?” Your voice cracked as you repressed the tears that started to rise to the surface.
He jolted forward, rushing to you, kneeling in front of you, taking your hands in his. “Please, please, amore. I’d– I’ll do anything for you. Amata mia. I’m sorry, I’m so sorry. Mi dispiace. Mi dispiace.” Sobs rippled through him as he cried at your feet. All you wanted to do was pull him up by his hair and slap him so hard across the face, it would have woken the whole floor up, then scream at him to stop crying. You knew you couldn’t do that. That wasn’t you. So you sat there, silent and stoic, your whole body tense.
After he calmed himself down slightly, his watery eyes gazed up to your towering form. “You promised me,” you breathed through your teeth out of fear that any extra movement would cause you to break down just as he had. You refused to give him the satisfaction.
“I know. I know I did. I… I ruined everything.”
“Why, Terzo? Why did you do it?”
“I… Non lo so.” His lips barely moved as he breathed out words you didn’t care to hear.
You slammed your fist on the table, abruptly pushing yourself out of your chair, needing to get away from his touch. “When are you gonna fucking let me in, Terzo? Huh? This whole ‘us’ thing really won’t work if you don’t ever tell me what the fuck is going on!”
“I-I-I don’t know! She was just there! And– and I knew how wrong it was. I know… but I couldn’t stop. I… I was bored and–”
“You… you were… You– You were bored,” you scoffed. “So I bore you enough to go fuck a wanna be Prime Mover whore?”
His head dropped in his hands. He moved them up through his hair which he gripped so tightly his knuckles turned white and shook his head. “That’s not what I meant,” he groaned.
“Ooh, do enlighten me then!”
“I can’t tell you why I did it, because I don’t know. Veramente (Truly), I don’t know. It’s just– Everything was going so well. Perfect almost. You were taking everything being thrown at you in stride. Your ideas for Ghost, the way you keep me on track, the way you… You were just you. Always there. Always by my side.”
“So you just had to go and fuck it up.”
His shoulders slumped, his jaw clenched. “I don’t deserve you, tesoro. I never did…”
There it was. There was the answer to the multi-million dollar question. You felt your heart shatter as he sat there in his hurt. You scurried over to him, dropping to your knees, holding his face between your hands. With a shake, you forced his dichromatic eyes to find yours. “But you do, Terzo. You do. Satan, I give you everything I have, every day, to show you that.” He turned his head away from you. Your words only made him feel like you were proving his point. “Look at me,” you commanded with another shake. “Before I came here, I didn’t have anything or anyone. I had nothing. When I found you… when you took an interest in me, the kind of person who never had the guts to stand out or be noticed, who didn’t even think they were special enough to catch anyone’s attention, never mind yours… It’s because of you I can even see myself in a different light. Don’t you think someone capable of that deserves someone just as special?”
The kindest words that were ever said to him, the most genuine words, always came from you. He loved you more than anything he could possibly imagine. He knew lately he’d done a piss poor job of proving that to you. He could see the cuts he was inflicting on you. He hated himself for it. He needed you by his side for so many reasons. He needed you to keep him in line. If you ever stopped… If he ever let himself completely lose control… If you ever left him… He couldn’t even imagine the monster he would become.
You didn’t know the depths of the internal battle he was waging on himself, you saw enough of it on his face to know his struggle was heart-wrenching. You loved him. Yes, he royally fucked up, but you still loved him. “We can work through this,” you whispered, moving yourself to intercept his blank stare.
“Will you ever trust me again?”
You winced at the memory. Everytime he came close to regaining your trust, he would do something to break it. Over and over again.
“It was never you who wasn’t good enough, amata mia. You know that,” he purred as his satin covered hands slid up your thighs, taking your dress with them slowly. He paused as his fingers brushed your garter. He toyed with the Grucifix that dangled from it. That he had given you. He smiled affectionately at it, before his devil may care smirk returned. You wearing that wasn’t an insult to him. It was a sign of subconscious devotion.
This was the real Terzo. You chastised yourself for falling for it, yet again. Always a wolf in sheep’s clothing, a lesson you just couldn’t seem to learn. “I am the one who was never worthy of you.” His eyes were locked onto your core. He then stood up, parting your legs by wedging himself between them. As he did so, he dragged his dual-toned irises up your body until they locked with yours. His pupils fully blown out, his breathing became heavier. His lust could only be described as animalistic.
Your words formed a lump in your throat, unable to escape.
He towered over you. His hands grazed along the sides of your entire body. He ripped off your wimple. Your face scrunched at his roughness. One hand, then, settled around your neck, squeezing it, as he put his mouth by your ear. “There is so much for you to learn. So much I have to teach you, demonino mio.”
Your heart pounded in your chest, roaring thunderously in your ears. You felt your blood go from a simmer to boiling. “I’m not your little demon,” you growled as you spat in his face. The hand on your throat swiftly moved to your chin, his grip painful enough to fear it might bruise. He forced you to look at him, to look at his knowing smirk. He knew something you were clueless about.
“Mmm, C’è la mia ragazza (there’s my girl),” he cooed. He kept your face locked in place as he licked your spit off his face, making you watch. Your eyes burned with a ferocity you’ve never felt before. “Satanas, I’ve missed you,” he sighed.
He breathed out a laugh as he unexpectedly dropped to his knees again. Your dress had already moved up so much, nothing was hidden. He pushed your legs open wider as he dove between them, running his nose along your core, inhaling deeply.
“Terzo, stop,” you demanded, trying to squirm your way out of his hold.
“You know you don’t want me to.” He moved up slightly, so his throat was flush against you. When he spoke, it sent undeniably pleasurable shockwaves through you.
“No. Fucking stop! No!” You tried to leap up and push him away from you, but he was stronger and faster. Easily he took your arms and pinned you to the chair, of which you were barely sitting on the edge of in your struggle.
His eyes darkened, his head swayed back and forth as he tutted at you. “Sei stata una ragazza molto cattiva (you have been a very bad girl).” Your arms would surely bruise as he put even more of his weight onto them, further constricting his vice grip he had on you. Relentlessly you still tried to wriggle your way out of his grasp.
Stop fighting, my child… A calming, almost sultry voice, yet somehow also one of safety, rang through your mind.
Terzo pushed his face into the crook of your neck, biting down where it met your shoulder. You cried out as you continued your attempts to writhe away from the monster in front of you. He licked the mark and dragged his tongue all the way up your neck, sucking on the sensitive spot behind your ear. The line between pain and pleasure was beginning to blur. “If you keep trying to fight me, la mia stellina oscura (my little dark star), or you so much as breathe one word of this to a certain Caridnale, he will find himself back in Italia for a very, very long time…” Your body ceased movement. His stronghold on you loosened as he descended once again. “Ora, dimmi, amore, that you don’t want this (Now, tell me, love).”
Give into temptation, my child. The voice rang out again, echoing throughout your mind like a spell to sedate your frayed nerves. You hadn’t the faintest idea why, but this time, you trusted the ethereal voice. You stopped fighting.
Terzo returned to his spot between your legs, humming appreciatively. “Oh, guarda. I can see how much you already want this. Sporco bugiardo (You dirty liar),” he taunted as he ran his finger along the wet patch that had started to pool in your underwear, your body betraying you. While his thumb ran circles around your clit, your breath hitched involuntarily. Your eyes shut, your head turning away in shame. You couldn’t bear to actually watch this.
He teased you, dragging his finger up and down your lace-covered slit, before covering you with the palm of his hand. Now he moved his whole hand in slow, circular motion. He was satisfied when your wetness had completely soaked through your underwear. Next thing you knew, he tore them off you, tossing them over his shoulder onto the desk behind him.
His arm wrapped around your thigh, securing it in place. You couldn’t help but let out a gasp as you felt his tongue circle your clit. His brows furrowed and he let out a sharp huff when he noticed you weren’t watching him work. With his free hand, he grabbed your chin brutishly again, forcing you to keep your eyes on him. You hated the force he was using. You hated seeing the insatiable hunger in his lustful eyes. You hated him. But that all paled in comparison to how much you hated the part of your desire that got caught in the wildfire of your rage.
Once he felt you understood his wordless message, he let go of your chin. Stubborn as ever, and with admirable restraint, you refused to let out the mewls and moans that perilously needed to, biting your cheek until a metallic taste tickled your tongue. The little control you had snapped like an old rubber band when he inserted the first finger inside you. Your hips bucked, craving more friction. The smoothness of his satin glove drove you as mad as it had countless times before. Your breaths became shallow and rapid as he pushed another finger inside you. Pawing at your sweet spot he knew as well as the back of his own hand, you now writhed from the remorseful pleasure. You didn’t even have time to register the smirk he made just before he snuck in a third finger.
“Satanas!” you tried to hiss, but it dissolved on your tongue into a moan. Your eyes slammed shut as your head fell back. Then all movement stopped. You dragged your head up to resume the eye contact he demanded. He stayed frozen, the only movement he made was the one eyebrow he raised, his look expectant of you. You scowled, but in a moment of forgotten animosity, you reached to brush away the hair that had sloppily fallen in his face. “P-please, don’t stop. Please. I need–” that was enough for him to resume with furious intensity.
You found purchase by running your hand through his hair, gripping it so tightly your knuckles went white. As you pushed his head into you, needing even more friction, more pressure, you could feel his fleeting smile before he resumed concentration. “Fuck! T-terz-zo, fuck!” you mewled, the pressure unbearable. You were about to unravel in his hands. “I’m go–” you started to say, but the words died in your mouth just as quickly as he stopped.
He leered over you. He pulled you up by your wrist and grabbed you by your waist. He held you there for a moment, your body flush against his. “You are mine,” he commanded, his voice gravelly. Suddenly he turned you around, pushing you down, bending you over his desk. Your arms caught you as you fell forward. You could hear him undoing his pants and then felt his hand wipe some of your slick off to rub on his dick. A faint, breathy moan escaped his lips as he lined himself up with you. “You will always– be– mine,” he growled as he thrusted into you, punctuating each word with another hard thrust. You cried out in delirious pleasure that overrode the pain of him emphatically bottoming out inside you each time. “È tutto. Ragazza bene. Sì, sei la mia ragazza preferita. È tutto,” he moaned in your ear, repeating what you had overheard him say the first time you found him with another in this very same position.
You reached for the edge of the desk to try and brace yourself, but he pushed his fingers into your mouth, hooking into your cheek. You could taste yourself on his soaked gloves. His pace faltered just slightly as he reached for your wrist and pulled you against him. You moaned around his hand, eyes rolling back, at the slight change in position.
Tears leaked from your eyes due to the overstimulation. You were so close, so, so close. You could feel your pending orgasm building, about ready to explode like a dying star. It had never been like this with him before. Not with Terzo, not with anyone.
Sure, you liked it rough from time to time, but this… this was awakening something else inside you. And it was solely from the sex, it was everything surmounting together: the infidelity, the degradation both public and private, the manipulation… It felt like a caged animal, a beast, which deep down you knew had always lurked inside you just waiting to be set free, waiting for the right time to emerge from your darkest shadows. There was still guilt bubbling up inside you that longed for this to be over, but… you couldn’t deny it, and you would never admit it. This excited you; it terrified you.
His gruff whisper pulled you back to reality, “Voglio che tu venga per me, amore mio… il mio unico vero amore. Vieni. (I want you to come for me, my love… my only true love. Come.)”
You felt yourself erupt, crying out with the force of a hundred hell hounds as your walls pulsated around him, as the most sinful pleasure rippled through your entire body. He kept going with his relentless, starved pace. Only when he spilled himself inside you, did he let up and remove his hand from your mouth. Your cheek, sore, as you tried to adjust your jaw back to normal, tonguing where you still felt the impressions of his fingers.
You stayed there, bent over, laying on the desk. Your bones felt as if they had been liquified. He hummed behind you, pleased with his work. Using the back of his hands, he brushed them up the inside of your legs before wiping both hands along your cunt, gathering whatever excess of fluids his gloves would lap up in one swipe. He removed his gloves, tossing them on the desk beside you. You could hear the soft splat sound they made when they landed near your discarded underwear. His bare hand slapped your ass and you jumped as the sting radiated through you.
Tucking his dick back in his pants and buttoning them up, you could feel him looming over you. You only dragged yourself up to stand when his statue-like presence caused your skin to crawl. Your eyes turned to slits as you turned to face him.
Hooking his finger under your chin, his thumb cleaned up the corners of your mouth. His other hand wiped away the tears that stained your flushed cheeks. “I think your incident at mass can be overlooked now, sì?” he snickered.
The attrition from what had just transpired came crashing down on you like a tsunami causing ripple effects of shame and guilt to wash over you. Suddenly, your breathing became heavy. There was a fire inside your chest that blazed hot enough to burn this entire Abbey to the ground in minutes.
Through temptation has your wrath been spurred. For your sacrifice… you will be… rewarded, that mysterious voice whispered to you again as your body started to shake from the electricity of your fury.
“Ask me again how I could ever love you,” you snarled as you stood up to adjust your dress in a feeble attempt to cover yourself.
“Oh, dolcezza,” his honeyed croon made you want to grab him by the hair and smash his face into the desk behind you. You never knew where these violent thoughts came from, so out of pocket for you. It was gasoline being added to the flames of your wrath. Your hand twitched, almost as if you were about to do it… You were pulled out of your thoughts by his sickly sweet voice. “You have no idea of the power that you possess.” He gently caressed your face, his eyes searching you as if he could see the power he spoke of, as if he was trying to find it. When his knowing smirk shrouded his face again, you had had enough of his bullshit.
You forcefully slapped his hand away from you. You could hear the sting, “Rot in hell, figlio di puttana,” you sneered as you turned to make your exit.
“Only if you’re beside me, amata mia,” he chuckled, rubbing his hand where you hit him, getting too much enjoyment and satisfaction from your reaction. You accepted that you had no idea who the man standing in front of you was or if you ever did and that thought alone only infuriated you even more. He shut up completely when you turned around and glared at him. He could see darkness starting to cloud your eyes. He shook it off, opening his mouth when you only had one more step before you were out of this office. “Oh, amore,” he started, his tone went from casual to sinister, causing you to freeze where you stood. “I mean it, you know, you utter a single syllable of this to Copia, and he’s gone. Sei mio (you are mine).”
Your boiling blood instantly turned to ice. You turned around painstakingly slow. Your rigid body and movements were enough to send shivers down Terzo’s spine. You couldn’t feel it. You had no idea it was happening. The fury of hell shone through your eyes as Terzo watched them fill with black smoke until your eyes turned to dark voids before him. “And I’ll make you wish that I never was.”
You watched as Terzo went slack jawed and his eyes turned into saucers from shock. The anger you felt, the wrath coursed through you like an electric current, was the only thing you cared about. Although you did revel in the fact that he looked terrified enough to cry, you were too wrapped up in your emotions to care.
“I-is that a th-threat, amore?” he stuttered, failing to keep his composure.
“It’s a fucking promise,” you growled, your voice dropping several octaves, sounding borderline inhuman. Terzo stumbled backwards, his hands reaching out behind him to clutch his desk. All you could see was red.
You almost ripped the door off its hinges as you stormed out, leaving it open. You were barely aware of where you were storming off to or that there were two Ghouls making their way towards Terzo’s office. In the haze of your rage, you almost missed how they stopped in their tracks and kneeled the second they saw you. When “Your Eminence,” sounded in your mind from two different and distinct voices as you were a few paces in front of them, your gait slowed. Still bending at the knee, they nodded to you as you passed by. Looking down at them, your brow furrowed for a moment, never having seen this kind of behavior from any Ghoul before. You returned their gesture with a curt, singular nod. They got up to resume going to wherever they were headed and you continued on your war path. Behind you, still watching from his office doorway at the end of the hall, Terzo’s jaw was just about on the floor. He scrambled to get to his phone.
Two Sisters of Sin saw you barreling towards them. Quickly, they moved to the side, but when they saw you up close, they both let out a gasp. You shot them a look only causing them to cower. Once you passed them, they ran down the hall as if they were running for their lives. Your brow furrowed again. “What the fuck…?” you muttered to yourself.
You didn’t have time for this. Terzo said you couldn’t tell Copia about what happened. He never said anything about Sister Imperator. When you reached her office you didn’t even bother to knock, scaring the daylights of her from the sudden burst of noise and movements. Then the color drained from her at the sight of you.
This time, you slammed the door behind you. Sister Imperator backed herself up until she hit the wall. You stood in there for a moment, your breaths coming out in short huffs, almost like pants. Your eyes looked crazed as you widened them. It was like two black holes were staring at Sister Imperator, threatening to destroy anything that got in their way. Chills ran up and down her spine. “Sister, y-your ey– uh…” she sputtered, her breathing becoming shallow. She tried to ignore the tightening feeling in her chest. She swallowed, even though her throat had gone dry. “Sister, w-what happened?”
You charged forward, slamming your hands on her desk, rattling everything on it. She winced and brought her hands up to her chest, clutching her Grucifix rosary beads that hung around her neck. A malevolent sneer etched onto your face. “Terzo happened,” you growled, although this time, it actually sounded like your own voice.
You pushed off her desk and began pacing, slowly, deliberating, as if you were trying to both calm down and calculate something. When you gathered your thoughts and paused, turning to directly face the panicked clergy member, your words sounded nothing less than a warning.
“Imperator, I don’t know what game you and Copia and Lucifer knows who else are playing with Terzo… and I don’t exactly know my role in it,” you clenched your jaw, speaking through your teeth, “since no one cares to divulge that information.” You took a deep breath and regained composure as you feigned innocence. “I only care about how it ends. Do you know how it will end, Sister?” Her mouth hung agape. Any sound that tried to escape was nowhere to be found. She could only shake her head in response. You leaned forward onto the desk again, you slowly pulled your chin in, but you kept your gaze locked on hers, your eyes now almost looking up at her. A smile wider than a cheshire cat’s grew on your face. If Sister Imperator didn’t believe in evil, she certainly did now. “It’s going to end with his head on my altar.”
