I wrote this alternate ending before the extended edition of TES, so it's a little outdated, and it doesn't answer your question exactly, but I reckon you might like it anyway.

TBH I keep reading the endless sleep and the sleepless wake,, i just- uGH I LOVE IT SO MUCH. Tbh, I hate angst that has to do with my favorite characters but that damn story just- I don't know. It may be heart-smashingly depressing but the angst is great- fffffff I'm running out of words to say- UHM- IN SHORT YOUR STORY IS AMAZING AND I ALSO LOVE YOUR ART AND THANKS FOR EXISTING BYE LMAO

reading the rewritten version of the endless sleep. fucking HURTS MAN. i forgot how PAINFUL this fanfic is, and its even WORSE with more detail. tho, no tears. it,, takes a lot for me to cry tbh. but i still love this?? and you?? fuck, your an amazing writer, and this is an amazing fanfic. i cant wait til the last chapter of the sleepless wake and everything and just- u GH. I LOVE THIS. dont stop writing please ;v;

Thank you! And wow, I kind of can’t believe it’s almost over? I mean, the last chapter’s still got a ways to go, and I’ve got plenty of ideas for side fics, but…I think this is going to be the first multi-chapter story I’ve ever finished? That probably sounds bad, considering how many stories I’ve started in the past… But I guess it says something good about this story.

Anyway, it won’t stop with The Breathing Dead. I’ve actually already started a couple of unrelated Momma CQ fics—I do plan to finish TBD first, but hey, I gotta write when I’m inspired—and I’ve got a few Undertale fics and an original story in the works. I have no intention to stop writing! I just hope people will enjoy my other stories just as much or more than they’ve enjoyed TBD!

You’re not bothering me! I just don’t know when I’ll finish the next chapter. I only work on it when I’m in the mood. I actually kind of am right now? I’ve been working on a new Undertale AU lately, so I’m pretty into that at the moment, but I might feel up to writing some angst today.

Is there going to be a Alternate ending for The Sleepless Wake?or is this it?

No no no, The Sleepless Wake isn’t over! I have three more chapters planned for it!

And even after I finish those, I don’t think I’ll want to let this story go. It has become quite special to me. I don’t have plans for an alternate ending at the moment (okay I’m starting to get horrible ideas), but I am interested in exploring different directions the story could go, aside from the canon path I have planned out. I actually started writing a non-canon extra/side story that takes it in a more “supernatural” direction, and I have ideas for another.

On the subject of alternate endings, I did write one for The Endless Sleep, if anyone’s interested.

But yeah, The Sleepless Wake is far from over. :)

Hello, me again. Just wanted to say that was amazing! Great job! I actually cried in this one too. Of joy, o'course. I hope you make even more stories of anything, because I think you would make a great full-on writer!

Of course I’ll make more stories! I’ve been writing most of my life, and I’ve dreamed of being a fiction author since ninth grade! While I’ve recently had some doubts about being able to finish and publish any books, I don’t think I could ever stop writing for fun. It’s like a calling.

I’ve been told before that I could, even should be a writer, but it’s always so nice to hear! I also appreciate hearing about people’s reactions to my writing. I kind of wish my own stories could make me cry, but since they don’t, there’s no way for me to be sure how effective they are unless people tell me. So thanks again!
