Inktober Day 13 - Horizon

Today's image has been brought to you thanks to my friend @dei2dei , and her amazing inspiration-suggestion of tackling the silt striders in this way, based on a piece of art she owns.

Forgot to make a scan while they were just lineart, unfortunately. Instead, have the sketch and the original art on which it's based. No idea of the original artist, I fear - it was bought in Egypt years ago.

A very young Llandros taking his first steps towards a new life with his new name. After a disagreement, he left behind his family. It cost him his long hair and a fair bit of his pride but he does not regret leaving, not even for a second. Ever since, he vowed to never cut it short again.
